Me and my buddy are in college and we don't have a lot of money to work with. So is it plausible for us to buy let's say 30 units of a product and then use 5 of them as samples, then if we see the product doing well, we scale it up. Or do you think we need to start with a larger sum of units? PS- this video as long as your others are very helpful! I really appreciate it! Thank you again!
I understand that they don’t pay out until 14 days after the item is delivered but do they provide the shipping labels or is that an upfront expense on our end as well? Like do I have to pay for my shipping labels and inventory before being reimbursed?

I'm a small business that does customized laser & engraving so the shipping time you talked about may not be possible, especially if I get hit for 100 or something. Would you recommend having my brand on tik tok? I currently have a website & online store but wanted to expand so thats why I was considering tik tok shop but I definitely don't want bad reviews or to get kicked off bc of the shipping time. Hayden I have a two step process made to order product. First is a discovery set. Which can be shipped 1-3 days via 3pl. But then the second part of the product is a made to order perfume based on what you have chosen in the set. I have a feeling my product is not right for tik tok shop. Can you give me some feedback?

Hi. I really truly enjoyed your video. I have a question that may make you shake your head but I am thinking of just testing it out in a very simple way.
I love all the details about getting influencers and all that kind of good stuff and getting financing and everything.
My question is how difficult would it be to open a store with a brand new tik Tok account. That means I have no likes and no followers.
I know that the videos would rarely be showed because it's like a farmhouse in the middle of a field that there's no road going to it people won't go there.
But I was thinking of for example taking my dentist friend and talking about let's say for example a special type of toothbrush that you can buy anyway on Amazon or you can buy it on the tick tock store all over the place but just as an example.
I'm retired so I have plenty of money to finance myself if I want to get serious with this. But could I technically just let's say by 22 brushes the special toothbrushes that are only about $10 each and make two short videos about the toothbrushes or something like that and just sell those items as a simple test. Even if I have to price them below cost I'm not worried about it. I'm just curious to see how the process works and how the order comes in and how I would package it up and send it out immediately.
Do you think it's crazy creating a store just to do that. The reason is I just want to see the effort and the push back and all that kind of stuff and if I only sell 10 toothbrushes in 3 months that's fine I'll probably just close the store down but if I get a little bit of pick up then I'll reformulate my business plan and actually build a business plan and follow all the steps in your video.
But would it be complicated or difficult to create a simple store and sell let's say 20 sets of toothbrushes just to see how it works. Do I need to do all my own hosting for the sales or does The tick tock store do all that including the sales and creating the shipping labels?

You don't need to buy in bulk in advance. If you have an order, you can pay the purchase price
Just so i get it right. When you use tiktok shop and your selling a product you can't ship it directly to the customar, you have to first get it to your home and then later on ship it to the costumer?

if you want to start Tiktok shop in USA . you need SSN + LLC for Corporate . or if you want to do indiviual you need Driving license/passport + SSN 2nd thing Wholesale & pl are the best i recomend you start WS . minimum budget 10k$

You don't need to have inventory. If you have an order, you can pay it again.
If I am using a 3PL that has a typical 2-3 day processing time (like any legitimate eCom brand) is that too long for TTS? My 3PL is in the USA, but very rarely get same/next day processing. Can I still do it?

I got onto tik tok ads because of you but recently started with meta and had way more success. Why do you stick with tik tok? Mainly for exposure not conversions
meta has been crushing it for the last 4-5 months for us too. Platforms swing. Depends on a lot of factors, can't just say a bland statement like "X is better than Y". It won't be accurate

So, if we open llc outside from US it's practically useless for us because we can opet just one shop?
at one point you could have up to like 5 shops under 1 LLC but they changed their policies now so you can have more than one under the LLC i think, but you need a different SSN in the personal info. The only positive side to using an LLC is that your order limit is 200 per day as opposed to 100 with only SSN. I only just learned about shop but I'm in an ecommerce discord server so they been teaching me a bit but definitely do some more research on the LLC
