Heck No im not killing my female persimmon trees. I have 93 acres in KY and have found over 100 persimmon trees on the property. I release the ones crowded by cedars

What spray jug you use?
You ever use a garlon 4,I know 3 is typically but have a bunch of 4.

That was just a mini 1 gallon solo sprayer. And we stick with the garlon 3a

Is hack and squirt in early Spring effective? Or should you wait till fall?

It’s not recommended in March and April because sap flow will actually push herbicide out of the tree.

You really just want to avoid heavy sap flow, so early spring would not be the best time.

Why kill white oaks

Not all white oaks are healthy, timber growers or acorn producers. Many are stressed, disease susceptible and competing with healthier oaks
