Thank you so much. In my childhood I had to stay 3 months in bed, and my toys were almost all these models. And even leaving in Brazil, I had many catalogs. Thank you so much.
This is really awesome Paul, thanks for putting this beautiful catalogue up! I wonder if Matchbox will ever cast these cars again as a "collectors edition"?
I had the carry case for 48 cars in my youth. Now, with more than fifty years old, I started to collect all the cars I remember I had. Astonishing memories and recalls from the seventies
A blast to the past. I was six years old when that book came out and I can remember which kids had what. We all got either Superfast race tracks or Corgi Rockets for birthdays or Christmas. But I think I was becoming more into the commercial vehicles as I much preferred the King Size trucks. Firm favourites were the Leyland K4 tipper, the Ford D-Series with either tractors or Case crawler and the Scammells. These still are among my favourites, hence a package is coming to you Paul.
Matchbox 1970 issue. Honestly the BEST collection of all MB ever made. I hope someday can get all the 75 cars. Congratulations Paul! ! You took me to a World of wonderful dreams with this!!! God Bless You!!! Silvia. Callao - Perú. Saturday July 4th. 2020. 01:10 Hrs.
While the artwork is nice, I prefer the real photos in previous catalogs. I've got the Denver pumper and Merryweather firetrucks. Thanks Paul ! 👍🇦🇺 Jim.
Hurra. Sobota, kawa i najnowsza podróż w czasie Paula 🕙 do naszego dzieciństwa. 1970, kiedy miałem tylko 4 lata. Zawsze miło jest zobaczyć te stare katalogi i ich wspaniałe wzornictwo 🏅. Opisy "Modele Roku", a nawet coś o "Silniku Wankla". Po prostu piękne. Dzięki za podzielenie się moim przyjacielem. Ty i twoja rodzina spędzicie miły weekend i będziecie zdrowi. Pozdrowienia z Cuxhaven. Paul 😁👍🏼🇵🇱👋🏼🇩🇪👍🏼😁 Hurray. Saturday, a coffee and Paul's newest time travel 🕙 into our childhood. In 1970, I was just 4 years old. It is always great to see these old catalogues and their wonderful design 🏅. The descriptions of the "Models of Yesteryear" and even something about the "Wankel engine". Simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing, mate. You and your family have a nice weekend and stay healthy. Greetings from Cuxhaven. Paul 😁👍🏼🇵🇱👋🏼🇩🇪👍🏼😁 Hurra. Paul 😁👍🏼🇵🇱👋🏼🇩🇪👍🏼😁
I still have 27 of the normal size vehicles and some from the previous years as well. I still have the larger Y2,6,7 and 14. Fantastic memories. I also have Dinky and Corgi I used to play with. Original Batmobile, Joe 90's flying car, Yellow Submarine. Best years for toys. Hornby, Meccano, Matchbox, Corgi, Dinky and Airfix.
Direto do túnel do tempo... Me recordo de uma case que tinha umas 80 miniaturas que meu pai trouxe pra mim de Manaus, isso no final da década de 70, tempo bom esses...
God, this took me back, I remember the Superfast track worked via, very long spring, being pulled inside the track via a powerful cog , The issue my brothers and I had was that you stuck to the base of your matchbox cars, little silver flat stickers that had a plastic point that went into the track, for your car to be dragged along. However, the plastic sticker didn't last very long and would wear off, or just break and you never seemed to get enough of them. The other great thing was that I would put my Husky Batmobile (Corgi) on the track, and then my Corgi Batmobile and James Bond Goldfinger DB5, which to be honest we're a bit too heavy for the motor, however, you did silly things as a kid, still love to see one again in the flesh, and not abuse it but appreciate. Do you remember the Matchbox Art Deco Garage kit's with the ramps?, loved the petrol pumps and the shop in which you could buy, oil, and things for the road, they always seemed to BP branded stations. I think the '60s and '70s was a Golden era for children's toys and cars. Keep up the good work.
A great comment. It is very nice to read such comments. Of course I remember the things you describe. I agree that the 60s-70s were magical with these toys. Best wishes
I remember that catalog after they had the tracks,& different accessories they would have the different diecast cars brings back memories, you don*t see that name anymore, now it*s basically HotWheels, Maisto or some other brand, it(s like they.dissapeared, another brand that disappeared is Corgi, I wish I still had mine,.I had 2 cases ,and another one, half way.
Thank you Paul for the remembrance.
Thank you very much

In 1971 the King Size vehicles would become Super Kings and they would be fitted with wire axles and Superfast wheels.
Thanks for sharing. I can remember my Older brother buying me some of those KING SIZE trucks from this catalogue when I was 7 Or 8 years old.
This is a beloved brother. Best wishes
