I am seriously trying to make a choice between the Babylock Solaris or the Brother Luminaire and so far I am stumped as to picking one or the other. I would really appreciate your thoughts and input. Thanks.
They are the same machine.babylock has anitagoodesign embroidery and brother has Disney. The thing is brother is the actual maker. If you have a scan n cut you can do more if you have a brother and some other features. If you’re not interested in that then either is great.
I’m a Baby Lock user and educator, so I love the Solaris. I have not used the Luminaire but I know they’re both fabulous. What most people use as their deciding factor is the preferred built-in designs. For me, that’s irrelevant as you can always add designs and fills. Have you stitched with both at your dealer?
I am doing g a design I am creatinine in my Solaris. It is the face in the Laura Tote. Can I assign part of the face to stitch and then adding the head part with the shaft to stitch later?
Are you scanning a design in, transferring into embroidery, creating from scratch in IQ or software? You can always stitch a part of a design out and stitch the rest later by stopping the machine. I need more info to be able to give you a better answer. Thank you!

I have the Meridian updated to the meridian 2. Is there anyway to purchase the scanner for the meridian instead of having to use my phone?
Unfortunately no. That’s not something we can add. I’d add it to my Altair as well if I could.
