I’m saving your how to videos!! My brother knew everything about his s2k and showed me your channel A LONG time ago. Since his passing I’m trying my best to learn more about this car and the tips tricks to work on them. We used to watch your channel together. Up to me now to maintain his car. Thanks again appreciate the knowledge as always. Let’s hope this year is better for everyone!!
Hey buddy, I’m so sorry for your loss. Passion is something that keeps a common interest, I’ve met some of my best friends because of this. Also some of best memories too. The car keeps you near to him and keeps you connected. I’m glad you’ve found our channel, it’s passion based, and I’m glad it helps you with your car. Stay strong my friend, I know what it’s like, you’re in good company here.
Just received the pulley bearings that I ordered. ❤ I will be working on it tomorrow. Thank you for the LHT Performance sticker. I enjoyed and learned a lot from watching the videos. The tips and tricks are so informative. 👌 keep up the great work 👏
I bought the two bearings from you and replaced them. The hardest part was taking the air filter box off. I polished and waxed the two pulleys and the engine bay. Now for the air box. Thank you for doing this video. Total cost $28 parts, $17.50 for a 30 mm socket, and the fan belt
The Honda dealership wanted $250 for labor, If I supply the parts. They do nice work. I replaced the steel or brass bearing inserts. $17.00. Thank you for making the training video
Just ordered mine! Thanks for the video , I’ve had these noise for a bit now and never thought to check the pulley bearings 🤦🏻♂️ Thank you for you’re help
Followed the link from the LHT store. Another great how to LHT video ! Thanks for all you do for the S2000 community. I recently ordered some s2k shifter parts from your store - can’t believe how fast you filled and shipped the order.
Very informational to me. I know how to do that job now on the s2000. I know now the top pulley is left handed threads. Great product, that is the way to go. Do it myself and save myself from the garage bill if it ever happens. My 2001 S2k is at 37,000 yet. Thanks to you and your crew. 😊
Saw this video and bought the bearings. I can't thank you guys enough for making this completely easy on me! Also, thank you for the bonus koozie!!! I've already put it to great use ;)
Great video like always. One little tip I learned a long long time ago which you can do of you wanted is to make these bearings last even longer. If you pop the seal off one side, then take some synthetic grease or white grease on your finger and pack it inside the bearing and put the seal back on,, it works fantastic. You can see how little grease is In these bearings when they're made.
Thanks for all the great videos. I live in western Canada and I only get to drive my 2000 S2000 a few months/year. In the spring the steering is really stiff. I have been told that its probably the steering torque sensor. The sensor is no longer available, but the manual says it can be regreased. I would love to see how you would tackle this procedure. Thanks again for all your great videos!
As usual excellent video, saved me some money and good tips for removal and checking of the bearings, only issue i had was the revers thread torque setting, i didn't have a reverse Torque wrench...... But do now !!!!! thanks again from the UK!!
Been watching your informative videos for years! We are cruising from Port Canaveral in June and thinking about letting you install the Kraftwerks supercharger while sailing. Live here in Yorktown VA and saw you at Fontana Dam last year!
I’m surprised to see no anti seize in use. I’ll keep that in mind. My 88 y/o dad passed a little while ago. I have purchased his red ‘06 w 60k on the clock from my siblings. I look forward to doing a few of these simpler things myself. Someday I will tow the car to you and have it gone over good and proper. Sadly I am located as far as one can get from you while remaining in the contiguous 48. C’est la vie.
There’s no reason to use anti seize in a place with that’s not in a corrosive area. We typically use it on the lower portion of the car, that’s in the weather
exact type of content I'm looking for....I enjoy it all, but I prefer to do my own work with stuff like this. I have a slight mistrust of dealerships or shops, especially if they would be working on my S2000.
I appreciate you so much John, I’m actually experiencing this exact noise . Thank you for sharing your tips and fixes. I will make sure to place n order on these bearings at your store.
I worked in parts for 7 years in high end dealerships(non related) but my idle pulley was making a sound almost like a bad rod bearing and got the last one; their on back order now. Wanted to replace the whole thing just due to it sitting for so long. So as of now you can only get the bearings lol. No eta on Backorder for the pulleys.
We install a lot of these. Once you do a valve adjustment its sometimes more noticeable, how loud the pulleys are. And the metal part of the poly typically doesn’t go bad, it’s just the bearing. The bearings are going to save people a lot of money. And we use the best possible bearings , they should last a long time to.
@@LHTPerformance yeah i have the other pulley to replace and will be buying the bearings. car has 150k still original clutch..got her with 19k miles. when I was in orlando I really wanted to bring it out to you guys for a few issues but im up by tail of the dragon now. we'll cross paths soon!
I would like to see a full timing set replacement on the s2000. I have an 8th Gen Civic SI so any content on that car as well would be great as well. I appreciate the videos, hopefully when I post my videos on my supra and civic build I’ll get a like from LHT Performance as well. :)

Please do a rear-main-seal and trans-input-shaft seal tut. 👏 (like, what you do during a clutch install) Does the trans-input-shaft seal require trans-case disassembly? Or, is it just a similar procedure as the rear-main-seal?? 🤔

Fantastic 'how-to', perfectly explained, easy to follow, what's not to like 👍👍. Thanks for sharing, you have no idea how helpful these videos are 👍. PS a coolant change and bleed video would be great (selfishly because mine is due 😁).

In your video you mentioned a 30mm socket and in another video by someone else they used a 1 1/8 socket. There’s quite a bit of difference.
Which one is the closest one?
As long as it contacts the out race. I use whatever is available, just don’t contact the bearing surface.
Any opinion on things like the Toda pulleys? There seems to be mixed opinions out there, but little first-hand
We’ve installed a couple of sets but don’t have any long term experience with them. We’re big fans of OEM here

So how do you remove the tensioner pulley off?
With a 14mm socket. The tensioner is a left hand thread
Does this bearing fit the pulleys on the K24 as well?
Im pretty sure they do.They fit the idler pulley for sure.
@@LHTPerformance I need this from you guys then. Mine squeeks like crazy.
What’s the tensioner pulley suppose to be torqued to?
31 ft lbs. I just did my bearings this morning, so the value is still fresh in my mind.

Would the bearing cause a whistling noise?
Most likely. Remove the tension off the belt and feel the pulley. It will tell you right away
