You know i really wasn't a fan of this series when it first dropped but now I'm starting to like it more and more each week, Its a really really fun series to watch, keep up the good work MotorTrend!
Dear Mr. Bell: The way you talked about the power band and how it behaves like a gentleman down low and then angrily roars away all of a sudden when it gets into the top end is exactly how I describe my Kawasaki Ninja 500 street bike. That is just the way it behaves as far as engine power delivery goes. Nice, mild, linear torque at low revs, then, suddenly, a big surging rush of screaming top end power that makes me forget I'm only on a 60 horsepower 500 for a few seconds :)
Seriously I had tears in my eyes watching just how divine this car is. My sole mission in life from here on out is getting it in my garage! Looking forward to that with much anticipation and a few sleepless nights forecasted! :)
I love the style of Aston Martin inside and out. It doesn't matter to me if it's not the fastest or has the best fuel economy, it's such a beautiful car that all those stats go out the window.
Inspired to leave a comment since your appearance on WOT, stating you do read through everything. It was refreshing to see someone really appreciate the aesthetics o fa car like this. Many reviews rightly focus on specs and driving feel but cars like this are built to make people feel special, so it was cool to see some of the design in detail.
I don't see why that bothers someone? It's actually something i praise Aston Martin for, they do things their one way instead of watching at someone else
That car is absolutely beautiful. I think it would still sell if it had a 2 liter engine and front wheel drive. Btw love the addition of Justin Bell to MotorTrend's channel.
This model has a different steering wheel, I noticed. I saw another 2014 Vanquish with a sort-of, flat-edged steering wheel. I guess it depends on the interior package you get. This car is highly customizable. Great stuff.
You are right. Thanks for the correction. I thought they just mentioned the cost of One-77 (not in production anymore) and then went on talking about Vanquish. Makes sense now.
I need to change my pants... I think, this is the best looking car ever! It even overtook the aventador! (but still, everyone must agree that the Jeep Wrangler is the best). Wow this is such a beauty!
I like this. He is more of the average guy who would own such a car and it makes the review that much more realistic. I really like that because then we begin to understand my manufactures build in little things that usually get criticized by more hardcore reviewers, but its only because the hard core reviewers aren't the average driver or owner and those extra safety, quirky things are what make the car safer for some random rich guy in Beverly Hills. Gtr's are for the rest.
Excellent Video!!! Terrific job! One small quibble though, a note pops up in the video that the 565 HP V12 in the Vanquish is the most powerful production engine in Aston Martin History. While I understand that the One 77 is not considered a "normal", production car the 1998 V600 V8 Vantage actually had 600 HP making it the most powerful production Aston.
Vicarious living is the only way to live for a lot of us. I appreciate the content of this channel so much. Great job on presenting cars many could only dream of....you lucky bastards.
On Aston Martin's own website, they say about the new Vanquish, "Our greatest car had to have our greatest engine. Introducing the New AM11 Gen4 V12 - the most powerful production engine in Aston Martin history. 573 PS. 620 Nm of torque. 0-62mph in 4.1 secs. Vanquish has the greatest performance numbers ever reached in an Aston Martin, it’s not a Grand Tourer, it’s a Super Grand Tourer." To answer your question.
Dear Justin Bell, I was just wondering, what was the hardest thing about racing at Le Mans. I know that you raced Vipers at Le Mans, and I was just wondering what you thought was the hardest part. P.S.) I found it funny that someone mooned you in the stands this year, and I think your show is great and I hope to see cars just as great.
Ok Mr.Bell , next time bring along Cheryl Cole . James May once on top gear made a comment about Aston's pricing policy "that they ask for a ridiculous price just because they can" ; after watching your rather cool review i must say that the Vanquish is a very special machine i absolutely love to try it or rent it not buy it .Dear Aston Martin ,the real value is not your price ,its my price .
"JLo, in a Brittish way"...Keep those one liners coming Mr. Bell! I love how the key slides into the dash and has the logo on the base. Are those the power seat controls by the driver's right hip-to-knee area? If so that doesn't seem like a great location in my opinion.
If you read above that, you will find out that they are talking about Aston's One-77. There saying the One-77 is the fourth most expensive car. 6:09 for reference!
Hey Justin, it may be not the purpose of the show but while you are on a race tack, a camera view with view of the racetrack would be nice to see breaking behaviour and turn in / turn out grip or how much steering correction you have to make. Besides that, good show :)
You can never please everybody... "too much personality/ too little, you dress funny, what's wrong with his voice" blah blah blah I like his reviews, the earlier stuff before motor tend is good as well. He brings a nice enthusiasm, and a pre-existing knowledge most 12year old internet Warriors could only dream of. There are some great car jurnos of there now : Harris, Nedell , Plato, Farrah, to name just a few. And they give us a great variety of cool reviews, because they are differnt
That's often times the trade off, older engines usually have a wider variety of sound while newer engines produce a more limited amount of sounds, although in some cases a really amazing sound (458 Italia). But older Ferrari's sound better.
Always Astons for me - but the Huayra is pretty unique and spectacular. I'd be hard pressed to decide between a Huayra and a One-77 - that would be a tough choice. A Zonda costs a lot more than a Vanquish, not sure if that's really a good comparison to make...
This looks incredible, Justin B. doesn't magnesium cause deterioration in the car if bird poop were to land on it? Or any other material such as water and etc
the nissan 370z has a 3.7L v6 that makes 330 hp. the gtr is a twin turbo 2.8 v6, meaning it would have around 350hp. and yes, the engine in this car is detuned.
That is not sand, it's a salt flat. There is not dirts or rocks on salt flats. That's why speed records are set on salt flats. Look for Bonneville salt flats or Black Rock Desert (dry lake infused with alkali salts) you will see what I mean. Andy Green broke the land speed record there with the Thrust SSC running 763 mph or 1227 km/h.(First supersonic record). That's why you drive fast cars like the Vanqhish there
Ive never heard a guy from Britain say a bad thing about a Aston Martin. They talk like it's the greatest car every built (I.E) Him and 5th gear. It's nothing but a English Dodge (Yes Dodge) Viper
ah great, before all the haters have their say: i enjoy your show keep em coming! and since youre so into style, could you wear an eldredge knot the next time ;)
Does the one-77 affect this car in any ways? I feel like the engine can't go beyond the 750 hp the one-77 produces.Does Aston not want to outdo the it's hyper car so soon? Or am i just over thinking it.
You are buying the hand craftsmanship and passion that Aston Martin pours into their cars. If you have the M6 you just have another factory line produced car. Not saying that the M6 isn't brilliant but it just doesn't have that magic factor that all Astons seem to have. A V12 and carbon fiber handmade everything mmmmmmmm
Nice car but if it's the 4th most expensive car in the world , I wish it didn't look like the DB series. I would like more distinctive for the money. That being said, much nicer than all of 911 variants.
There is nothing wrong with the engine info, they put the 5.9L V12 there is because it does have a 5.9L V12, but instead Aston twist the word to 6.0L V12 because it looks better.
keep these kind of videos going, the people that actually like cars are enjoying them
You know i really wasn't a fan of this series when it first dropped but now I'm starting to like it more and more each week, Its a really really fun series to watch, keep up the good work MotorTrend!

Couldn't have put it better myself! This is an EXCELLENT review for just such down-to-earth-ness as you speak of.
With the new Astons and the Jags, it's good to see Britain still making the most beautiful and best cars in the world.
Justin, you rock dude! Loved seeing you as a commentator during the 24 hours!
I don't see why that bothers someone? It's actually something i praise Aston Martin for, they do things their one way instead of watching at someone else
This car is absolutely gorgeous! The engine launch key immediately reminded me of James Bond... how fitting indeed
Usain Bolt in a Savile Row suit... I don't think I've ever heard Aston Martin described any better. Great episode, Mr. Bell.
Mr. Bell, that's one of the best videos that I've seen from you. Good job sir!
That car is absolutely beautiful. I think it would still sell if it had a 2 liter engine and front wheel drive. Btw love the addition of Justin Bell to MotorTrend's channel.
Beautiful craftsmanship inside and out, good engineering, well presented I think I want one..
this video was much better than his last few, good job keep up the nice work!
This model has a different steering wheel, I noticed. I saw another 2014 Vanquish with a sort-of, flat-edged steering wheel. I guess it depends on the interior package you get. This car is highly customizable. Great stuff.

Like all Astons, this car Will forever look beautiful.
Excellent Video!!! Terrific job!

This show gets better with the time
Best looking Aston Martin I've ever seen.
That is with out doubt the sexiest car in the world.....Period. Don't even argue the point.
Great show!! I love how you guys put Art into your filming. :) Keep it up
Love your reviews Justin. Keep on going. You're doing great.

The vanquish is so damn beautiful. Amazing design.
JB, pay no attention to haters, great show!!
Beautiful car, one of my favourites. I have never seen Aston in color like this.. fits great :)
In my eyes., this car is just pure beauty.
Awesome show! Keep up the good work!
Dear Justin Bell,
I was just wondering, what was the hardest thing about racing at Le Mans. I know that you raced Vipers at Le Mans, and I was just wondering what you thought was the hardest part.
P.S.) I found it funny that someone mooned you in the stands this year, and I think your show is great and I hope to see cars just as great.
The lines on that car are beautiful
I know right!! and with the white landscape that color just popes :)

Dont care what people think, that Blue looks fucking amazing. Its almost as if that Blue was made for the Vanquish.
hurts to hear a brit say a-loo-min-num.
Nice shoes bro
I wish I could work for Motor Trend and drive these cars!
I do appreciate when you do a detailed review of the car's exterior. Aston is so sexy... seems much better than the old boaty one.
Love the color...it is not one I would typically like but on this car it is just gorgeous. That being said this beauty would look good in any color.
You would like the Ferrari 512TR, its a boxer-12, one of my favorite sounding cars of all time.
Awesome car. Now come on man, give us the James Bond driving scenes. I felt like !watching a audio podcast along a slide show.
Hey Justin,
it may be not the purpose of the show but while you are on a race tack, a camera view with view of the racetrack would be nice to see breaking behaviour and turn in / turn out grip or how much steering correction you have to make.
Besides that, good show :)
Best looking Aston Martin, in my opinion
I remember james from top gear said once about Aston Martins 'I dont know why these cars are so expensive'
Great car and an impeccable review.
You can never please everybody... "too much personality/ too little, you dress funny, what's wrong with his voice" blah blah blah

good episode, good amount of info given on the car :)
Love everything about this car! Love the colour too!
Very cool show Mr. Bell, Justin Bell!
That's often times the trade off, older engines usually have a wider variety of sound while newer engines produce a more limited amount of sounds, although in some cases a really amazing sound (458 Italia). But older Ferrari's sound better.
Awsome color. It looks nice, not only on a Aston Martin but also on Jaguar and on Volvo polstar cars :-)
Great show MT!
This needs to be in the next Bond film!
Always Astons for me - but the Huayra is pretty unique and spectacular. I'd be hard pressed to decide between a Huayra and a One-77 - that would be a tough choice. A Zonda costs a lot more than a Vanquish, not sure if that's really a good comparison to make...
The one-77 was advertised as being the 4th most expensive. (just in case you missed it). And at 1.4 million it's probably true.
Screw the haters Justin; love the show.
Other than that; you are doing a great job mate..!
What's better top gear or motortrend
No! Looks amazing!
Aston Martin Vanquish, my dream car
Justin, on any type of suit, never fasten the bottom button.
Get use to this look because this is what the 2015 ford mustang is going to look like
This looks incredible, Justin B. doesn't magnesium cause deterioration in the car if bird poop were to land on it? Or any other material such as water and etc
I love this car! And this was a great review of it! :)
But i can't deny that it's the most beautiful car on Earth ... After !! the Avantador
Good review,
I wonder , how many will actually be sold in the US?
Love this show, keep up the good work ;)
What a amazing car and that color wow
the nissan 370z has a 3.7L v6 that makes 330 hp. the gtr is a twin turbo 2.8 v6, meaning it would have around 350hp. and yes, the engine in this car is detuned.
most beautiful car ever made
hello I congratulate you for great video and display outstanding ok thanks ... many greetings?
I guess it may be more practical the way you prefer it, stays very personal;)
Fantastic video!
That is not sand, it's a salt flat. There is not dirts or rocks on salt flats. That's why speed records are set on salt flats. Absolute Dream Car!!!!
Amazingly beautiful car.
The most beautiful beast in the world.
i started off hating the show..but its getting pretty good
Hi, Motortrend, what are the top 3 most expensive cars ahead of the One-77?
That is one beast of a car. Wow.
Great job highlighting the Vanquish good features. Not a big fan of that color on an Aston. Barely started to follow your show. Good job again.
it's absolutely beautiful, a piece of art. I wish i could drive it inside out so i'd never have to take my eyes off it. :P
Nice car but if it's the 4th most expensive car in the world , I wish it didn't look like the DB series. I would like more distinctive for the money. That being said, much nicer than all of 911 variants.
Hey man, i like you better since WOT.
There is nothing wrong with the engine info, they put the 5.9L V12 there is because it does have a 5.9L V12, but instead Aston twist the word to 6.0L V12 because it looks better.
I cannot believe that you drove that car on the salt flats like that.
This car is just beautiful
Lovely show! :D
Style, class and elegance! :)
