Great combo ! I have two of them one was given to me by the son of my deceased friend. The only flaw you will run into on both later is that the rubber on the trigger part of the handle will tear after maybe a year. But that won't have play a role in performance. This combo pulled in my 2023 pb of 6lb 4oz with no problem at all. I think I paid $85 in 2022 for my first one then I recommended it for my friend that passed because of the reels forgiveness. Also works great for weightless senko and flukes . By the way you're now one more closer to that 1K mark. Keep up the good work. My fishing days in this area has ended until the spring thaw comes around. Be safe !
No it doesn’t come with line, most outdoor retailers will spool line for you, otherwise you can do it yourself, I have a video of how to do it on my channel just scroll down a ways👍🏼
I need a pole and ive never fished before. I will be lake fishing in colorado the lakes by me have trout pike walleye pan fish. So what would you recommend if you were on a budget and a all around pole out of all your budget pole videos ? And what size and all that. I am a complete newbie. Thanks for your videos!
You can shove 15-20 pound line on pretty easily, whenever I use a bladed jig I don’t want the hook to have any play when I set the hook. Plus 90% of your fasts are only in the 30-50 yard (90-150ft) range so losing a couple of yards of line on the spool is no biggie
I have the both of the rods- try the combo, if you are talking about the newer Gx2 casting rods the trigger is super uncomfy- the improved rubber grips with the exposed rod blank add comfort and sensitivity to the overall ergonomics

Check out my Shakespeare ugly stick review, you definitely will want a spinning reel, don’t get a baitcaster if youve never fished before
@@InlineOutdoors thanks
what would u recommend this rod or the Abu Garcia Max Pro
I like the max pro more
What setting do you have to not have backlash
Turn brakes up to almost the highest setting, and adjust spool tension for each lure you throw
What line would you guys recommend for this reel ?
You can get away with just about any line, I used 12 lb fluorocarbon but anything over 10 lbs should be fine!
@@InlineOutdoors thanks very much ! 👍

Just got a left handed one on Amazon for $35, crazy good deal
That is awesome!
do you think i should buy just the reel since i have an ugly stik gx2 baitcaster rod already or is the rod it comes with better?
I think you’d be fine with just the reel, but I would definitely say the rod that it comes with is pretty nice for the price!

Is 10lb mono good for this or should i get more
10lb should be good for this! You could go up to 12lb if you wanted to
@@InlineOutdoors ok thank you
Try anything between 12-20 pound mono\floruo- baitcasters tend to handle heavier lines MUCH better than their spinning reel cousins
Does it get the job done?
Oh you betcha it gets the job done
Is it good for trout?
It would definitely work for trout!
@@InlineOutdoors thanks for nice video
