Her ability to hold her audience in the palm of her hand is breathtaking! That switching she does is called "Yodeling" and she has this ability from very young. Look up her "Jodel Time" performance to see her use it fully. Here's a short compressed explanation of the performance :- ""A young orphan girl is being given away in marriage to the unloved. She goes to the river (a portal between the living and dead) to ask her dead mothers’ blessings for a marriage that will not be a happy one.
The spooky voice is her dead mum answering back! The mood of the song changes and we hear her young girlfriends in the yard playing and laughing, asking why the girl is so sad?
Then she cries uncontrollably. She is lifted into the boat to be taken to her wedding with resignation for a sad life."
