When Americans keep saying Big Ben is under construction annoys me. Its not it's restoration, totally different things. The building is already constructed, it's just being restored to its former glory.

@@patrickkelly7085 I'm all for freedom of opinion, but you are just talking nonsense and displaying stereotypical prejudice against groups of people, firstly the Royals and now Australians. Disliking something is your prerogative but at least do it from a factual standpoint and not from a warped sense of what you THINK you know. Glad you are happy with your lot, but if you can't say anything nice why even bother saying anything?
@@lynnhamps7183 Again Lynn I reiterate, we two would obviously not get on we have different opinions on various subjects but is it not the variety of opinions that makes life interesting, if you want to listen or read things that you agree with, with out hearing the other side of the argument I suggest you don't read comments on UA-cam pages, by the way Australians need no one to fight their corner they are very good at defending themselves with out assistance, I have always disliked the royal leeches, the French beheaded their royals that fact does not deter tourists from visiting their country bringing in the revenue you imply is generated by British Monarchy.
I guess all first time visitors feel they must see the Tower, The London Eye, Piccadilly Circus and a few other tourist hot spots but there is so much more and better places to see in this incredible city where you don't have the problem of masses of other tourists and the resulting overcrowding. Problem is I guess that the only way to really appreciate London is to live there for at least 12 months, even then you're only just beginning to get to know the place. - lol
What you dopn't mention is that Kensington Palace is where the royal princes and their wives and children live when they're in London, so if you hang about there you'll see them all... Also if the flag is flying from the middle flag pole at Buckingham Palace, which it. was in your video, it ,means the Queen is .there.

I've lived in the city since I was born. I am now in my sixties. I still haven't seen every corner of it.

It’s also Elizabeth tower, Big Ben is the bell, correct??
I know they all seem to say that. Its already built. It’s been renovated. So annoying.
Does it really matter, mate?
Shrimp on the barbie is an Australian phrase.
Australians have no phrases unless its "could you loosen these shackles just a little".
