Today we take a walk in another culturally enriched Sheffield suburbs, Page Hall and Firth Park. Its grim, covered in litter and with an air of unsafety to it. As an English man I felt uneasy walking the streets in a Sheffield suburb. We discuss general world events such as the strange Fog that has been seen all over the UK recently. We also cover New years eve celebrations in London. I speak into my new found 'fame' on youtube after a should out from Paul Joseph watson recently. The pressure I now feel with content creating after my channel started getting thousands of views and a bit of a following. The journey of an up and coming youtuber. My mental health and emotional state shared.
Is multiculturalism really working in the UK or is everybody in isolated communities becoming more divided? Has the UK assimilated into a cohesive culture or it fragmented with communities working on entirely different ideologies?
Walking through Sheffield noting the change in British society recently. We visit the Christmas markets of Sheffield. There no longer seems to be a feeling of community or even safety in UK city centres anymore. How does Sheffield compare to other UK suburbs?. Why do Uk city centres feel so unsafe now a days? What has changed over the last 5 years in the UK , it feels a very different place to when i was last here. Sheffield is my hometown, i moved away and became an expat. Returning to Sheffield 5 years later feels very different to how it used to. UK society and culture seems to be collapsing. City centres in England. Deprivation, cost of living, cultural enrichment, immigration, demographic change in UK.

My grandparents were born into poverty in the 1920’s in another large city Birmingham & they and their community despite their lack of money had pride and kept their local area clean and tidy. I have a few rare photos of them standing on a doorstep proud of what they had. Housewives scrubbing the doorsteps. Watching videos like this remind me how the UK has become a third world country in many ways. It makes me very sad.

Would be interesting to have a study on the correlation between litter and levels of diversity in an area.
In summer I went to a local park, newsham park in Liverpool and it was full of foreigners having barbecues on grass, when they finished they just walked away and left all their rubbish where it was, absolute scruffs.

When i lived in town it took me a couple of years to figure out the guarantee of spotting a multi-tenancy-rental was a ruined front yard, broken furniture, binbags etc, because a transient population does not CARE about the local environment. its that simple.

I used to shop along Walton/county rd (here is Liverpool). We had super markets, butchers, green grocers, a couple of banks… Now, all we’ve got is barber shops, vape shops, tanning salons & nailed salons & lots of foreign food shops!!! There’s a home bargain & a few charity shops.

That area in the early 60s was full of proud people..marching through the steeets with banners boys playing bugles..scouts, cubs, sunday school...motorcycle shop Bill Beavers..Firth park with its boating lake..Library...All gone replaced by 3rd world rubbish tip...Thanks Labour...Blair. OK people didn't have much back then but 90% were honest hard working.

I'm 40 and bill beavers was my familys shop dean and Darren and Dean was my uncles and had it from the 80s then moved premises 2001 and I spent all my weekends in there growing up next to akrams eastern eye which is still there today and as I kid it was mostly asain community in page hall and it sadness me to see how it was to now it's disgusting from the Roma community how they made it it to a dump it's so sad thanks government for ruining our country letting them in it's all governments fault thank you so much you dont have to live there
I was at uni there 2005-8 and it was great.....especially compared to my hometown of Birmingham.
Crazy how places that have been settled for hundreds of years can totally change in a decade or two.
Used to visit a mate at the Uni there in 1992/3 and it was a much safer, more enjoyable nightout than in Brum.

As a recent subscriber and someone who found your channel quite by chance (a UA-cam suggestion, no less) I find your observations, openness, thoughts and rants refreshing. Your walkabout streams of consciousness narratives are interesting whether they be in the woods walking with Margo or the streets of the city. Basically I feel a sort of reassurance hearing the thoughts of someone who also feels the same detachment and concerns about the impending next big thing (and what had been going on in the skies) and feels free enough to say it. I've been troubled by similar feelings of emotional detachment in recent years but especially lately, a sort of numbness to many of the things which used to bring me great joy. What you said about the football could have been me talking! I also cannot unsee how quick people were to turn against others during youknowwhat and know they will do it again. Anyway, my suggestion about the channel would be just go with your flow about what you want to load and don't try and second guess what may be popular as you are always up against the vagaries of the algorithms which ultimately will largely determine what will be widely seen. For example, I delved into some of your other videos the other day and when I tried to find one again to show someone it proved really difficult to find in a search, as can happen sometimes, despite having all the relevant title keywords so had to find it on the channel page instead. Keep going, I am happy to have found your channel.

@@tom_greatorex Maybe just do a mix of both but I know what you mean, I often find my clearest thinking, where answers come to me, are when I am walking in nature. Thanks for what you're doing, it really does benefit those of us who don't really have a social circle anymore and sometimes wonder if we are alone in thinking the way we do. It's quite reassuring to know others have pondered the same issues, have the same feelings and concerns and come to the same conclusions, and that we aren't as alone as we may have thought.

Sometimes you get channel growth from unexpected places. He talks of BIG economic problems ahead. Can you imagine if interest rates were to say double, treble or more? You think it’s shit now… it’ll be multiples worse. Build local community…gonna be super important. Be as self sufficient as you can. You mentioned you think something big is coming this year. I agree. I think the financial system is knackered and they’ll do something to blame it on.

This is terrifying you should come up to Scotland, Dundee is getting really bad it's coming here now I am scared for our people. My cousin was stabbed in the neck attacked for being white apparently being in a Muslim neighbourhood even though he lives there for over twenty years, it was that bad he and his brother had to move up here, he's from Birmingham if you were wondering. I was also followed home last year by an illegal and had police involved I no longer go after dark alone the UK is not safe anymore, especially more for women with all these fighting aged men roaming the streets.

There is a few Predators following young women around in Nottingham city centre waiting till there drunk so they can assault them . Forest recreation ground in Nottingham many women have been attacked over the years.

New subscriber here. I live over the moors from Sheffield within the National Park, so Sheffield is my closest city. I last lived in the area some years ago when Sheffield city centre was a great place for shopping and socialising. Used to go with my parents every Saturday morning to shop on Eccleshall Road, even that’s pretty dire now. So so sad, although it seems the norm across the whole of the UK. Love your channel and I’m in agreement with other subscribers, just keep doing what you are doing and don’t overthink it, you’re being yourself and that’s the most important thing on here imo!

I live in Kansas City, Missouri in the US. My best mate is from Sheffield, used to be a groundskeeper for the parks. Spoke about Thatcher’s policies that ended the public jobs that were for the cleanliness and beautification of the public spaces all around England. The reasoning at the time was that it was the duty of citizens to keep things clean and beautiful. The trouble is, “it’s not my job/problem” is a cultural sentiment from literally every native born citizen that undermines the beauty of the entire country. Double the sentiment with a community of immigrants who are not invested in the beauty of the country, and well… there ya go.
He also spoke of the rampant hooliganism of youths who behaved the way they did because there were almost no consequences for their juvenile criminal conduct. He also remarks on the lack of police presence and response in those areas which encouraged/ emboldened them.
If people spent 15 minutes a day sweeping the immediate surroundings of their home and/or business… there might be something left to care about. Without the sentiment of personal responsibility, or the willingness to afford and respect a council paid employee to do that job… You get exactly what you have. Disrepair, unkempt public spaces.
I pay my city 1% of my wage to haul rubbish away and maintain the roads… And I still get out there every winter and remove snow from the street in front of my house… Why? Because it has to be done for the benefit of the neighbors who live above me on my hill.
I think many have just given up. I used to give litterbugs a dressing down if they threw out litter onto the verge or bushes, or pick it up if not. Now my view is, why bother. The developers will have concreted over it within a few years anyway.

I think it highlights a desperate despair we share aswell around why are we working and what are we working for when we can't even support ourselves and families with the taxes.
I work in a company that is partial to the rainbow community and it's hard to even have a laugh or post a meme just as a genuine joke in the moment without worrying about a hr case landing on you.
Keep sharing mate, I expect you will get shadow-banned or de-listed, but the truth finds a way of seeping through ultimately.

I really relate to you on so many levels- the jibby jab, the disconnection, the despair, the loss and thanks for your honesty and openness. However, you've gotta stop dissing India!! I've lived in south India for 8 years and I've never seen a neighbourhood that lacks any pride or cohesion or is as dirty and littered as those streets in Sheffield. People sweep the streets around here everyday, the beaches are clean and so are most of the rivers and I happily swim in them. I also have never felt like someone getting out of a car is going to jump me! God bless us all.

I was a chronic pot smoker for 25 years. Half oz every 3 days. Unsociable, sitting in my kitchen morning till night just chuffing away. I just quit a year ago. I was worried about who I really am without it. Turns out I'm fine. I'm a free thinker and like to get deep into my thoughts. I'm a musician, singer, creative writer and I thought I would lose some depth without it. Its not true. I do feel better and free of it TBH. Oh, and football is just a distraction for the masses IMO.

Judging by a conversation my sister was having with my mother a couple of days ago, she won't ever wake up and nor will the rest of her family either. All she talks about is the usual boring hum drum twaddle and what[s going on within her fake little bubble. Her, her hubby and my nephew and niece are all under the illusion that life has gone back to how it was prior to 2020. They're waltzing around without a care in the world. My sister and her hubby are talking about car upgrades, the footy, stupid singers like Ellie Henderson, where they're going on their jollies and their obsession of getting their son onto the property ladder. That isn't even going to happen because on his wages, it will take him years to get a deposit together and that's without utility bills, food etc. They all rolled up their sleeve for the medical procedure too. Not only that but my niece had the hpv vax too. I don't have a great deal to do with them. They thought I was talking utter horseshit when I was reeling everything off when 2020 arrived. All I got from my sister was that my opinions were the only thing that counted. My reply to that had been.. it's not about opinions, all I've told you is pure truthful facts. I then told her to switch off that TV and told her to go off and look everything up that I'd spoken about. I despair at times. The normies/NPC's are a lost cause and there literally is no hope for them. I think the only thing that would wake them from their slumber is if their bank accounts went to zero and/or if missiles were flying right in front of them. I just can't stomach being around these type of people.
I usually don't read long comments but yours caught my attention. I'm having a hard time talking to some people in my circle for that same reason. If your country is in this state, why can't they see it? Perhaps they live in an expensive area where they can't see all this? I don't understand.

Frankly I like the walks around your city and the way you spit out your thoghts as you come up with them. I find it very refreshing that there's no production, no music etc. There's too much of that, I'm sick of it. Don't over think it. People are curious about you and it works. I understand the pressure though ugh. I think I speak for all the mothers here in that I do feel a bit concerned about your safety, as people will eventually recognize you and maybe somebody could be upset. I wonder how that could be tackled. Maybe explore different areas outside your town?

Amazes me how some Cities will fine people if they drop a single Cig end, or piece of litter, BUT all the shyte lying around those streets or outside those shops is ok with them.

Productive working citizens are brutally overpoliced and fined for every minor infraction (traffic offences, wrong thing in the wrong bin, unauthorised opinions about diversity on twitter) while borders are left wide open and certain vibrant urban communities commit violent antisocial crime with impunity.

As a Sheffield lad this area was clean then the council let eastern European people live there under the city of sanctuary bolox and the place turned into a third word shit hole.
