I would have been sick if I wounded it!!! So I didn't try it.
i was thinking the same thing but, he was looking the whole time. so before he could have picked it up, it most likely would have run away
You don't shot at something like this animal with a weapon you know nothing about. That is why you practice all year long with YOUR OWN weapon, not everyone else's. Everyone's bow is set up different. One guys sights might be different than the next girls sights. The weight, draw lengths are always most likely different. So you never just take something and shoot it and hope for the best. That is a good way to wound an animal and losing it.
My uncle and I actually practice with each other's bows just in case we ever find ourself in that situation. Good choice not trying it without knowing though!
It looks like Kody is left handed and Trent is a righty, sooo, that might not have worked out to well! haha

I have just started watching all of you guys videos and I am hooked on them now I'm watching the old ones I've shot one heard bull in Colorado in 2000 with a rifle and would kill to do what you guys are doing so much off and would be a dream come true to ever hunt next to any one of you!!!! You guys should do a give away for a guided hunt that would be killer thx guys keep on keeping on

Someone tells you not to bring yr bow /rifle /kife /binoculars etc..........always ignore them...esp if your running a tag.

Fantastic bull and I really felt the reflective moment when you realized what you had got Cody. And then to back it up with an even bigger bull (more points, but I think less overall length) only 30mins later is just amazing. Goes to show what lives out there in those remote public land areas. I would love to travel over from New Zealand to hunt elk in Colarado or New Mexico or Montana in the highcountry on public land. Looks amazing. cheers, Jamie

Kody is left handed it looks like in the videos to me. Trent is not. Also Kody is like 6'4" and probably has a ridiculously long draw length because of it.

Love your vids, been out to Co many times, and your hunts appear to be real hunts, not canned private ranches. Keep up the good work, was this a draw unit, or OTC. I have done draw's a couple of times, but never a premier unit. I do mostly OTC and we have seen some crazy good bulls on them too. I will be back at it again this year, backwoods camping too, hope my pack is heavier on the way down. Good luck to you and your group, subbed and will be watching for more vids.
This is an OTC hunt along with most of the hunts we do.
Thanks for the reply, I kinda figured it out (OTC) after watching the first vid again, not too sharp sometimes. Any way, just wanted to mention I use a Big Agnes (Scout UL 2). Its a great tent for back country and trying to go light. I spent a month in it during the 2013 floods of Colorado, and survived.

He's perfect! So symmetrical! He has a really cool light colored hide. Just beautiful. My biggest symmetrical 6x6 measures 296 inches. Still haven't broken that 300 inch barrier!

I always find it funny how people cow call when the elk is running with an arrow. Your cow call is giving your position away. If you stay quiet, he might come back.
If you would have killed two of them big bad boys. That's when you find out how many good friends you have. But the one you got is an awesome bull.
