I just got their full works for pretty much the same price as our previous full-fiber 500, which was so bad! All the stuff came in three different routers: one Wi-Fi smart hybrid on the EE mobile network, if the connection drops out anytime, like it constantly did with the BT Openreach service. The triple-router setup looks a bit worrying at first, as I've never seen anything like it before, other than the router, but it's also part of the gaming platform for the new computers.
I had 4 of these hubs since early August. They all triggered a ‘split pair’ fault. Open Reach concluded it was an issue with the router although EE wouldn’t have it. Now back on an older model EE Super Hub2 - no faults being identified. Must be a compatibility issue with the existing network.
One problem with the EE Smart Hub Plus router is when my broadband was activated recently my Xbox Series X gaming console was showing a moderate NAT. Checked UPNP was enabled and despite many resets my console would remain on moderate. Many other EE have reported either strict, moderate NAT. Strange as EE make a big thing about their broadband and gaming. I fixed the problem by having to port forward the necessary ports for the Xbox into the smart hub router and has been set to open for many days now. Previously I had the BT Home Hub and port forwarding wasn't necessary as UPNP worked as it should do. May I suggest when you do your reviews to test on various devices as many such as myself connect their broadband to a gaming console.
Went to EE from BT but have to say the first two weeks was not ideal as gaming is impossible on it due to latency spikes, company contacted about it but no resolution so far.
Do you need a telephone line to use this system? Am I correct to say you attach appliances via WiFi as opposed to using ethernet cables? We are located I in an area that doesn't have very good speeds.
You need a fixed-line broadband connection, it may use your phone line or a fibre line. You can connect devices to it using WiFi. If you're in an area with bad speeds, you might be able to get faster internet with 5G broadband. We have a review of the Three 5G Hub on our channel.
My EE contract guarantees 900mbps from the full works 700mbps at lowest and if can't get these speeds im free to cancel the contract in 30 days or they'll send out wifi 7 router

Are UltraXtend wifi boosters compatible with this product do you know?
Probably best to confirm with UltraXtend before buying.

They're similar but EE's is a bit wider.
