Michael, Allison had her kids on the train. You and Jess maybe older, but you're still her kids on the Polar Express with Mom. So Great! I loved Jess's excitement underscoring that you were still kids for the adventure with Mom.
I have always loved trains. I came across your channel and fell in love with your videos. He said he doesn’t take any proceedings from the hat. What a wonderful guy!!! Everyone should follow him and give Thumbs UP. Show him some love n support!!!!!
Wow... your sister is beautiful. She doesn't need the nose piercing to catch attention, her facial beauty is more than enough. Please consider featuring her in more of your videos...
I learned of The Polar Express only after my sons were born but we never really got involved in that part of Christmas but it is neat to see how different sections of the country set it up. Many of the downtown stores where I grew up would decorate each of their windows and it was amazing at how many different train set-ups were used as part of the Christmas scenes and each year my parents would take us to see what all had been done! What a neat experience!
Wow!!! Looks like the Railway Heritage Park in Squamish has really improved this event. We went years ago with our grandchildren and it was sure fun but it looks like it's even better now (2019). I really love that the proceeds for your hats go to help people get counselling when they can't afford it. I really admire you for doing this.
Absolutely loved this clip, Mike. West Coast Railway Heritage Park have done a fantastic job and is a must see for anyone visiting Squamish. Was great to see the Royal Hudson locomotive 2860 which I rode behind between North Vancouver and Squamish back in 1989 on my first visit to your part of the world. It was great to see you with your sister and mother enjoying family time. I notice from your listings that you are a keen motorcyclist as well as a railfan and general traveller enjoying great experiences. I rode for 22 years myself when I was younger (last bike was a Honda 750 road tourer). Best wishes from downunder.
Thanks James. Luckily we sold out of those hats last year, but we have the second round of hats coming out next week, just in time for Christmas. Again, all proceeds go towards the counselling fund.
I rode the polar Express this year in Fillmore California, it was awesome.. but I have to say you guys had a way better north pole and better cocoa mugs. We also didn't have first class but it was so awesome
Oh wow! We live in Victoria and I had no idea they did this in Squamish! My 6.5 year old is train obsessed, maybe if B.C. keeps doing well we will be able to do this! I also love Jessica’s excitement!
How cool is that?! The animated "Polar Express" with Tom Hanks was great and now many lo-cals are offering train rides in that theme, including the one you've shown here. Looks like lots of fun for everyone! 👍😱🥰😀
The little hamlet of New Hope, Pennsylvania, has the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad which runs The North Pole Express beginning sometime in November. I was privileged to have experienced it twice. There's hot chocolate and if you've behaved well throughout the year you may get to speak to Santa Claus. Great fun for the entire family as they like to say.
Okay my grandkids and I decided next Christmas we're going to spend in Squamish BC so we can experience snow or rain and Ride The polar Express man what a trip of a lifetime
Music 🎵🎶 provided by your friend who sounds of a German heritage cool I love it he must be the one who got really antsy going with you on the other trip where your train was delayed and you ended up having to get a taxi awesome I have now sent your videos to my granddaughter and all my other grandkids so we can plan our next family vacation together trust me we live in Arizona so our next vacation will include snow rain and trains!!!! I don't even own a winter coat how sad is that
Good Morning!! I have a sneaking suspicion you like trains / train rides. :-) Awesome to spend time with your family. If you ever end up in Durango, Colorado, the Durango to Silverton train ride is a must do! Upgrade to first class and ride in the last car of the train, which is a similar experience to the "caboose" on the train in your video. I did the Durango to Silverton ride 10 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. The car includes snacks and refreshments, plus a view off the rear platform. I did old school video of that trip, on video tape!
Wow! That's still a thing?! My parents took me to Purgatory 30 years ago and we did the train ride to Silverton. I remember the town only had 1 traffic signal. The trip was very pretty.
as someone who isn't a fan of christmas or the polar express movie, I'm surprised by how endeared I am to this train. it's so sweet and cozy and cute and the vibes are immaculate.
Didn't realize you'd posted this! Me and my buddy were working the hot chocolate for you guys (the passengers) this day haha! Maybe you saw us in the silver truck; we actually slept in the Pacific Great Eastern caboose you see around 1:20!
It's the last car on the train, but it's not a Caboose, a Caboose is a specfic type of car, that is usually found as the last car on a Train, that car may be referenced as a Palour Car, and that is also the last Train car, but not a Caboose, in this case. Glad you like Trains though.
Yes this is why I'm glad I live in Australia, though with climate change our winters are getting a little like yours. Also our Christmas is in summer so it's out doors, sea food and cold drinks. Ho Ho Ho!
Before I found your videos I had no idea there was so much to do on the West coast - particularly in the Northwest region. Los Angeles used to be my go-to for a somewhat "local" travel experience, mostly because I could count on sunny weather, and you also have Hollywood. L.A has turned into an armpit, and I don't have any desire to go down there at this time. Soon as things open up, this is on my list. Best wishes from your favorite internet troll! 😄 ~Scott
Merry Christmas 2020 A.d., and Happy New Year 2021 A.D. Hi from Green Bay, Go Packerz!! We beat the Bears again 35-16 down in Chicago!! Yay!! Totally love the Mini Train inside. But we have the National Railroad Museum, no little train. And full size train runs on small oval of track. No steam here since July 1975. Sad, and very rusty here.
This came across my feed. I'm watching and wondering how you did this while also traveling with your Dad. Then, I couldn't figure out why you weren't wearing masks! Then, I kooked at the date. 🤪
I’ve been curious about the Polar express because I went on the train there and it’s only like a 10-15 minute ride which was very disappointing so does this one go further or is it just as short? Thanks
They did well with the conductor, or Tom Hanks did in the movie by the same name. Guess we know where Jess stole your hat. I expect it happened in the tunnel, unless that was filmed after asking if she stole it.
Michael, Allison had her kids on the train. You and Jess maybe older, but you're still her kids on the Polar Express with Mom. So Great! I loved Jess's excitement underscoring that you were still kids for the adventure with Mom.
I love seeing Jessica's pure joy at all the magical stuff about this train ride. This video was such a delight to watch 🥰.
Your mom and sister are precious! They made this video extra fun and special! Your family is awesome! Thank you so much!
Jess has the true Christmas spirit, just like I do. I carry Christmas in my heart all year long 🎅🤶, nothing makes me happier
❤
Awesome, And nice to meet your mom and sister.! so many smiley faces,.... Keep smiling guys
Thank you so much 😀
All train journeys are the best with kids, or at least, when you’re a kid at heart.
I have always loved trains. I came across your channel and fell in love with your videos.
He said he doesn’t take any proceedings from the hat. What a wonderful guy!!!
Everyone should follow him and give Thumbs UP.
Show him some love n support!!!!!
Said it before. Involving your family in your travels / adventures is great. Specially Jessica's smile and enthusiasm.
Nice to include you family most Y-tubers neglect to do this It sets you apart from other bloggers 👍, love the excitement when the North Pole appears.
Oh wicked! Thanks for noticing Dave!
Bro your sisters child like excitement totally make the video!
OMG! I didn't expect that level! I completely agree!
I’m glad you take joy in your life! Keep up the good work! Tell Mom she did a great job raising you!🙏🏻
Thank you, I will
I love your sister’s excitement!!
Wow... your sister is beautiful.
She doesn't need the nose piercing to catch attention, her facial beauty is more than enough. Please consider featuring her in more of your videos...
Already subscribed and just donated to WIRTH. Thank you for what you do.
Oh my gosh I loved this so much! First time I’ve felt stoked for Christmas this season! So fun!!
Always good to let your inner child run wild. Think the Downies are a pretty wild family!
You know us too well 😉

This was a fun ride! Christmas is around the corner and the end of 2020! Thank, God!
Lol..i love your sister reaction to the Hot chocolate 🍫..
I quite literally just found your channel an hour ago and you have quickly become a UA-camr I know I'll be consistently watching!!

Thanks very much, Michael! Hopefully I can get down to Oz someday soon!
Love your Mom's personality
Never seen any of your vids..just subscribed simply because you are donating all proceeds from the sales of the hat..very honorable.
Thanks James. Luckily we sold out of those hats last year, but we have the second round of hats coming out next week, just in time for Christmas. Again, all proceeds go towards the counselling fund.
A big smile in my face! 😊 Weiter so!
All the best of life to Jess and his lovely family😄💛
What a fun video! Thanks for sharing the holiday spirit!
You’re welcome Adam!
What an awesome train. I wish Australia had something like this
You and your family are adorable. What a fun video.
I rode the polar Express this year in Fillmore California, it was awesome.. but I have to say you guys had a way better north pole and better cocoa mugs. We also didn't have first class but it was so awesome
I just re-watched this and it made me smile. 🙂
Love this!!!
Oh wow! We live in Victoria and I had no idea they did this in Squamish! My 6.5 year old is train obsessed, maybe if B.C. keeps doing well we will be able to do this!
I also love Jessica’s excitement!
So cool...gotta do that. That first class was classic CN/VIA. The Daynighters were purple if I remember right. Thanks for sharing!
I love Christmas
It is so magical people together and decorations and gifts and food and much more
Great adult adventure! Don’t always have to be a kid to enjoy…… Thank you!
How cool is that?! The animated "Polar Express" with Tom Hanks was great and now many lo-cals are offering train rides in that theme, including the one you've shown here. Looks like lots of fun for everyone! 👍😱🥰😀
This has got me in the Christmas spirit
That guy looks like the Po;ar Express man too!
Oh definitely! My mom couldn’t stop pointing it out!
it’s polar! not po;ar!
@@hallienguyen1204 nah, “po;ar” is gonna stick now ... forever!
@@hallienguyen1204 yet you knew what he meant, C’mon!
Yes, and I think he was trying to sound like Hanks, too. At least, to my ear.
Ok this is on my bucket list now!
What an awesome video. Excellent quality production
Jessica's Singing Skills are over the Roof! ^_^
You guys definitely know how to have fun!
Haha. Thanks Don!
I’m sure you’re a fun guy too.

This really made me smile
Okay my grandkids and I decided next Christmas we're going to spend in Squamish BC so we can experience snow or rain and Ride The polar Express man what a trip of a lifetime
I have always wanted to do the Polar Express since I saw the movie!!
You need to ride the North Pole Express in Owosso, Mi. This train is pulled by Pete Marquette 1225, the locomotive used to make the movie.
Oh wow, should we ever get out of lockdown, I can see G'auntie taking her nephews on this.
I'm getting a white Christmas vibe here by watching this video. Hello from the other side of the world, Philippines.
Omg, you took the actual Polar Express to meet the real Santa! This is going to viral, obviously it was worth it!
It’s the real thing Andrew! I swear! 😆 haha
DownieLive i’m in the middle of the video did you see santa claus?
Music 🎵🎶 provided by your friend who sounds of a German heritage cool I love it he must be the one who got really antsy going with you on the other trip where your train was delayed and you ended up having to get a taxi awesome I have now sent your videos to my granddaughter and all my other grandkids so we can plan our next family vacation together trust me we live in Arizona so our next vacation will include snow rain and trains!!!! If you get time you might check out AMTRAK's City of New Orleans. Overnight from Chicago to New Orleans and about a day back north. Great videos.
I haven't been on one of these since I was little. Pretty cool
excellently captured. looked great fun. thank you
This was amazing, a awesome family you guys are .🇦🇺👍💖😉

Wow! That's still a thing?! My parents took me to Purgatory 30 years ago and we did the train ride to Silverton. I remember the town only had 1 traffic signal. The trip was very pretty.
Looks so festive! ❤️😍
We may have to take a trip to Squamish next Christmas fit this train 🚂. Thanks for sharing
Omg i really wanna go to the polar express, it looks so fun!!!
Oh..that looks like fun. I wish they have this in Victoria.
Wow you have the most amazing family!
Some things like this are definitely worth it, just for the experience.
This put a big smile on my face !
This video is so adorable.
Your mom and sis stole the show. They’re great
They’re the best!
My favorite part of the video was in the Royal Hudson 2860.
as someone who isn't a fan of christmas or the polar express movie, I'm surprised by how endeared I am to this train. it's so sweet and cozy and cute and the vibes are immaculate.
I am from Niagara ,Ontario and we have had many a Christmas rain , sad to say , they are not always white .
Yeah... it helps when there is snow, but it’s never a guarantee.
come to Aspen Crossings Polar Express it has all the character and the north pole too! Just outside of calgary
Didn't realize you'd posted this! Me and my buddy were working the hot chocolate for you guys (the passengers) this day haha! Maybe you saw us in the silver truck; we actually slept in the Pacific Great Eastern caboose you see around 1:20!

Technically correct ... oh well ... least you clarified.
Fantastic...!!!
I love Jess ❤️ 🚂🌲❤️
So AWESOME!
This is too COOL!!!! I L💕VE it! No shame in admitting I am a BIG kid still.
I LOVED IT!
Yes this is why I'm glad I live in Australia, though with climate change our winters are getting a little like yours. Also our Christmas is in summer so it's out doors, sea food and cold drinks. Ho Ho Ho!
I'd love to go to Australia someday, but I'd never be able to think of Christmas being in the summer.
Soo adorable!
Luv, luv, luv it !💗
