    Hi Vic I received my matchstick curring tool with spare blades and I ordered a scalpel separately. The matchstick cutter is a real game changer. Why didn't I ask at the beginning. I am currently rebuilding my chairs because they will look so much better. Can't wait to build my locomotive now. Once again thank you so much for your guidance
    Kind regards Andrew 😊

      Hi Andrew pleased you are pleased with the cutter, yes you're right it's a game changer. The thing I like most about it is you can set the stop and cut repeated size accurately. Good luck with the locomotive I shall be interested to see what you do to the wheels. Best wishes Vic.

    Hi Vic
    Missed when it was published - must have been keeping a low profile to avoid Covid.
    Another great model and informative video.
    Have you thought about designing templates and instructions for models yourself? I’m sure that with your expertise they would be of great interest and some would be purchased.

      Hi Tim thank you for your kind words and I'm pleased you liked the build and video.Maybe that's something to consider in the future but at the moment building and photographing the models takes up most of my time but who knows what the future might bring? Best wishes Vic.

    Morning Vic I received the clamps you recommended they are just right for the job. May I ask how you cut your matches

    • @vicparratt7523
      @vicparratt7523  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi Andrew glad you found the clamps, you can never have too many clamps. I cut the matches in two ways, firstly I use a scalpel but most of the time I use my Rb Toolz guillotine, it's expensive but I couldn't be without it. There are other less expensive cutters out there but if you want the best its Rb Toolz all the way, I've been using mine for four years and it's never let me down. Best wishes Vic

    Hi Vic I noticed on your electric tram pole on the main support near the top you have used what looks like masking tape it looks really neat. Is it masking tape or some thing else. Thanks again Andrew

      Hi Andrew at the top of the post that supports the pickup I wrapped at thin strip of card to make it look like a flange. The pickup on the end of the pole is yet again a thin strip of card stuck to the bamboo pole and coated in super glue to harden it. Hope this is of some help to you and best wishes Vic.

      Hi Andrew the card I use on all my models is a 250g/m2 card in a pale beige colour, the colour makes it less obtrusive with the wood. I purchase mine from a local stationer come art supply warehouse but you should be able to find something to suit on Amazon. The circle cutter I use is an Olfa circle cutter, it's a Japanese brand freely available on Amazon. I tried several before I settled on this one and although not cheap it's much better than the cheaper versions. Hope this info is of help to you and best wishes Vic.

      Hi Andrew I used 1mm brass wire for the chair backs and I sourced it from my local model shop but I would think it's freely available on the internet.Hope this is of some help to you and I hope you are enjoying building this model. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further help and thank you for watching my video. Best wishes Vic.

If you can do this I will be better placed to answer your question. Glad you're making progress and hopefully enjoying your build and I look forward to seeing some pics in the future. @@andrewbradley2301 Hi Andrew I purchased these clamps 40 years ago at a model railway exhibition in Midhurst. I have just had a quick look on the net and a very similar type is available via eBay. They are made of plastic. Make sure the elastic bands you buy are good quality.
