I spent many years working as a hydraulics tech, specialized in high pressure closed loop systems. Built machinary for the offshore oil&gas industry. Just wanted to say Mammoet is one hell of a company. Nothing you guys can't do......so glad you put thrse videos out for the rest of us to see.

Mammoet's success is very clear, the engineers drive this company. The bidding process goes through the engineers to first decide how the job is to be done, then to the money men who figure out the cost.

I think the format was fun, what you guys do is interesting and I feel like you'll end up in the youtube algorithm soon enough with high production value, in the current climate.

The video is cool, but the editing is a bit too slick and fast paced. I think your main audience is mostly gear heads. So if you can hold a little longer on the action so we can watch and think. Thanks for taking us along!

Longer videos would be good....massive projects in 3:00 minutes don't do justice to the accomplishments and scale of Mammoet. But, short is better than nothing.

This is not an action movie. Changing cameras that zoom in and out every 2 seconds is really difficult to watch.

When I started watching, my first thought was "why didn't they break it down into more manageable chunks?" ... and then the realization hit that they did! Wow.

I like the new style generally but maybe hold down the pace of the editing a little? It felt a bit frantic in places.

I'm always impressed with the stuff this company pulls off, like moving the new radiation containment building over the damaged reactor #4 at Chernobyl.

Mammoet is playing a whole different ballgame. Caterpillar makes great machines for (de)construction and mining, etc. Mammoet specializes in moving the truly enormous and monsterously heavy objects of our world. The name is Dutch for mammoth :)

Looks like a little bit of overkill for the conveyor trusses too. They really don't weigh that much.

My guess is that because they had already gone to the time and expense of moving the SPMTs to the location it was easier and quicker to simply use them

The rock crusher has wheels so why wasn’t it driven or towed to the new location?

    • @MammoetHeavyLifting

Good Question. The mine owner had previously attempted to drive the rock crusher downhill however, the crusher experienced a loss of braking power and the operation could not be completed safely.

It appears that the crusher was capable of moving itself why did your company have to do it? Also the video was over edited I am interested in the process I need more!

      @MammoetHeavyLifting  5 років тому

Hello- The Mine owner had attempted to drive the rock crusher downhill themselves; however, the crusher experienced a loss of braking power and the operation could not be completed safely. Moving it using this method also decreased downtime.
      Thanks for watching!

Hi Vance, the crusher is able to be driven on its own. The mine owner had previously attempted to drive the rock crusher downhill themselves, but it experienced a loss of braking power and the operation could not be completed safely.

It’s always funny to see that Americans always wear sunglasses even when it rains. 😂 But why do they use the relatively heavy SPMTs to move a conveyor belt of a few tons? I still do understand that for the engine room but the rest of it is beyond me. However, nice yob.👍👍
