The Earth, Wind, and Fire joke earned a like from me.

My favourite part of your vids is that after the intro, it cuts straight to figure already being painted. No long winded padding or fishing for likes, just great painting tips!

I love that you paint these old Ral Partha figures; I'm not familiar with any of these, but that's even better. Back in the late 80's/early 90's, they were some of the best sculpts around. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

When I painted my air elemental. I painted it with white, a light gray and a medium brown to resemble something like a tornado. For tornados are a large mass of air and debris. As for my fire elemental I did my base colors white , red, etc but in a couple of spots I also used glow in the dark paint yellow and red. I didnt bother using the glow in the dark orange for both the red and orange looks the same. Yet the glow in dark red is just a shade or two dark orange and the 2 colors look the same in the dark. For my earth after painting it, I added a mix of glue and grass turf and applied it in a few spots to give it the look of moss growing on some of the rocks.

Wow! Nobody even mentioned CCR. Great vid, I'm yet another old timer with tons of old minis from RP and others.

An air elemental is basically a man-sized tornado that hates you specifically, so I imagine what you would see is just dust and debris caught up in the whirling air currents.

The bell is on, yet UA-cam decided to not show me any of your stuff from like the last half year... Awesome algorithm!

Hey, I've got those! They look similar, except my air elemental is greyer. I really love seeing old school mini's getting a nu school paint job, it really pays homage to some of the beautiful sculpts of that era.

You could also paint the fire a green fire for magical evil fire or you can also paint the fire in blues like a natural gas fire color.

Sadly I only have the earth and the fire elemental. They may have been my first metal Minis after starting painting with the Hero Quest Minis 30 years ago.

Great video! ive found that fire is easiest to paint just very messy with nice chalky drybrushing from a yellow basecoat and slowly up to red and black at the very top

Those are great. I still have mine somewhere as well as the clear resin ones they sold a long long time ago. I love those old Ral Partha minis.

As always, great painting guides. If i get a shot at similar minis, I'd love to try and add a few more colors to the air elemental and water elemental. Air, using that tornado area to go grey blending up to blue and white. The water elemental doing a green-blue bottom and leading up to the colors you have. I LOVE watching you work abs getting ideas or learning new techniques. It's infinitely helpful to get these tutorials. Keep it up!

Wow! I haven't seen these Elemental figures in many ages, they were fun to paint. If I were to paint the earth elemental again, I'd incorporate some modeling or static grass and perhaps a small plant on the figure as if the ground you walk on just stood up!

Btw I have these exact same figures from the late 80s early 90s when they were still made from lead.

I'm surprised you didn't use a white + magenta base coat. Magenta makes yellow really "pop".

Can you elaborate on how you use your washes? I feel like i'm doing either:
    1. leaving pools
    2. leaving no pools
    Never something in between.

Perhaps a gloss clearcoat on the water figure in strategic places could be good?

What kind of brush are you using? I can’t find anything with that sort of sharp tip, durability, and elastic stiffness.
