To go thill you know you need to get to the point where you are able to explain what you have learned to others and provide an effective summary of the key points . When you are explaining and summarizing your new knowledge to another person you are hearing your explanation as well and you will instinctively know where your summary is lacking and where you are have made those meaningful connections. Once you can effectively explain this new knowledge or process to someones or demonstrated the new skill you know it.
