Although this is a bit out of my repertoire for the most part, I decided to arrange this song as a Christmas present for a friend. I hope you enjoy my arrangement and interpretation.

They played this sing at my niece's funeral. This was the prettiest, most sincere version I have ever heard. I started bawling in the middle of it. Thank you for playing, Kyle. You are truly an inspiration. Keep doing what you are doing. (:

I'm almost 50 year old, when I was young I don't have the chance to learn piano. I just started learn to play piano few months ago and for those who love & play music instrument, don't give up and go, keep it up. All I can said practise make perfect, I'm self thought by myself being practising for 5 hours a day for 4 months to finished up the song. I had breakthrough by memorised it and now without looking at the music sheet, I can performed to my friend's party and they loved it very much.
Great job Kyle, the improvisation that you had done for the song, eventhough my son's piano teacher was so amazed. Thanks once again.
+Lai Fong Woo Wow, that's so cool that you learnt it! Too bad you didn't when you where younger, but it's never to late. :)
Lai Fong Woo I can advice you to understand the chords and the different keys and also get familiar with left and right hand patterns. once you get that and you have a bit of feeling for the music, you can play a lot of songs by ear very well and dont get lost countless of hours in reading and memorizing the keys.
Lai Fong Woo I really started playing piano two years ago. I can't read sheet music yet, but I practice 5 hours a day myself. Kudos

I've played piano for only a year now and I'm 16 and I learned this in 2 months or so. All I can say is if you take the time required and calm your mind, you WILL be able to play anything. Just look at the notes. Decrypt them. Take them on 1 chord at a time. Eventually you will have the whole thing memorized. It's crazy right? I never thought I was gonna be able to play this, but now I have it all memorized by heart so just keep up everyone. Practice does make perfect! Good luck everyone!
I performed this cover as a part of a HeadSpace fundraiser in a town of around 8 thousand people. We raised over 30 thousand dollars that night.

This is, hands-down, the best solo piano arrangement I've heard of this song. This arrangement has a lot of dynamic contrast and makes use of the entire range of the piano. I really should go learn to play this...

kylelandry how long did it take you to learn this?
I'm the same, I'm 15, and also at in official intermediate level (Grade 5 Distinction).
I first wanted to seriously take up piano about 2 years ago after seeing your videos. I am originally a trumpetier so had the ability to read sheet music, so taught myself through to Grade 3 standard then got lessons. I'm now working in a 4* Hotel playing lounge music. I'm learning a lot of your pieces/arrangements for that occupation, so you should be proud that you've instilled that in me.

gracie mcneill That's my speciality. Almost everything I play was arranged by myself. A lot of the older ones are transcribed now if you look hard enough :)

This is simply wonderful... this pianist is just amazing and has a great talent! His musical sensibility and expression are so deep and beautiful. The only bad point is about the piano itself... would it not be better on a real piano?
