Hello There! - The roofer staggered the horizontal overlaps, to stop the roof tiles overlapping at the same spot, this stops the Tiles from building up additional thickness, which could prevent the tiles from sitting on the next batten. These steps can be used as a guide but following them should enable a simple installation. We do explain the option of installing from top to bottom here also.
