This is probably the best episode they have had in all three seasons. So well done. When Nick cries in Tao’s arms, it crushed me 😭 They have come so far!

You don't need to apologize in any way for your reaction, it was very sincere and moved me - yes, I cried a lot when I saw this episode and I cried again seeing you cry.
Tao comforting Nick broke me, mainly because it reminded me of the first season when Nick and Charlie ran away from the party to have their first kiss, and in the second season they left the party in Paris and commented they were always going to skip parties to be together, so Nick alone there it almost physically hurt.

'Black friday' being in this episode WRECKED ME.
There are so many moments I love that were referenced and twisted this episode. Nick dressed up as a superhero that saves the day with his protective shield. Nick and Charlie always sneaking away at parties, but it was only Nick this time. Nick and Tao sitting against the wall and not talking this time.

They’re gonna do like how Mary Jane kissed her not-Spider-Man fiancé in I think Spider-Man 2? Where one person lays down on a couch and the other leans down over his head. “Wow, I feel like I’m back in space.”

I have watched this episode several times and I just sobbed along with you all over again. An amazing episode in many ways: the writing, direction, editing and performances are fantastic, the way it models healthy and destigmatising behaviour around mental health issues, and character progression - from Nick and Tao’s friendship to Charlie’s mum - it’s just brilliant. As someone who struggles with severe depression and anxiety I’m so glad the show went there and did it so well - as do Alice’s comics. Thanks for sharing your feelings with us.

Hey Morgan just wanted to give you some info about some of the UK school references for Tara (I think others have covered in the comments too).
So we have GCSE exams which are at the end of secondary school (High School). After that there are A levels which is in 6th Form (confusingly also called college over here). These are sometimes (as is the case in Heartstopper) at the same physical school as the secondary school. That’s why Nick went back to Truham even though he finished his GCSEs as he is now in 6th Form. Same for Higgs and Tara. Tara got top marks (9) on her GCSEs (and yes, it’s a confusing system. Out of % would make much more sense!)
As she did so well she has her pick of Universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. That is why she is part of the Oxbridge program, a gifted and talented program for extremely high academic achievers.
She has also been offered to become a prefect which is a role given to responsible students to help enforce discipline. It is looked on favourably as part of a uni application as it shows responsibility and trust.
Finally it is not shown in the show yet but all applications for universities in the UK are done through a system called UCAS. I mention it as in the future we might see the characters completing their UCAS applications as these are a big deal for students due to the very competitive nature of top level university applications.
I hope that helps but if you're not sure about anything else in the UK education system just ask away as it is confusing lol!

This is the best episode of all 3 seasons in the way they showed both sides of the timeline...it is brilliant tv.

I loved this episode. I cried so much. I did have one concern with Sahar and Imogen. Imogen was 100% trashed, and it didnt seem like Sahar was, which puts a whole new spin on that interaction that really upset me. Also, Tara seemed really unhappy about people praising her achievements.

I actually think that Imogen is bi, I haven't read the novels +comics in a while, though... her personality does remind me of me when I was going through it,, so I suppose that because I relate to her I guess she's bi, but starting to have a preference to men :)
It was hard to make out, (heh) but I think what Imogen said was that when she first got a boyfriend, Sahar began being weird with her. They have all been friends or at least gone to the same school since they were kids. Including Imogen and Sahar.

Yeah, when I was nine years old when my dad passed away, my anus came up and it was pretty bad. I saw of harming a little bit after something happened, happened in high school and something happened to me and Ali me and allison something happen between us and I got really bad so when it did, I got my phone taken away and my iPad and my phone and they’re self harming and myself every day that happened we start not being best friends. I started not telling her, but she’s the only one who never knew about my spirituality and I’m a told her ever about But I never got like super bad or had to go to hospital for it so now I just comes and goes. I also got bullied in middle school. Just wait. On my way. On my way a lot a boy because who I like and other kids who are around my headso that’s my story. I start watching your channel because of heartstopper so me continuing your channel is just for heartstopper. I might watch other stuff that you keep doing it shows.

So... i know this show is trying to talk to younger people...
But they realy tone down some subject... they never realy explain what happen in october, why he end up in the hospital, and why he goes to a psychiatric clinic
so TW : but that's a suicide attempt
and i get it, they didn't have to explain it, the message will be understand without it
but i don't know... sometimes things get worst without explaination, you do thing without reason and it would have show what could happen
i have been in this situation, the book make me feel so seen, and they removed it...
