This vlog was literally perfect timing to go up, i just got done watching another vlog then when it was over I saw Brittany post and I was really happy because I love watching brittanys vlogs. If you see this Brittany I just want to let you know your one or my favorites booktubers 💕❤️
I get that about the happy family endings thing. I personally like optimistic endings, in which the horrors and tragedies and so on, all the hard stuff is done, and now they can take the next step in their lives. Whether it shows them being able to heal or to choose or just even process their life. I don't need, or really want, to see the next step, I just would like to know that it is there. Patrick Ness does this a lot, and I would classify the ending to If We Were Villains in this kind of way. But if it is ending in marriage and kids? It feels sometimes very hetronormative, especially if it doesn't make sense for the characters. Such as if they state they don't want to get married or to have children, and then that happens. It almost feels disrespectful of the characters' wishes? And it makes me question why they included that line or subplot if that is the direction they wanted to take the story in. Sometimes it is because they wanted to laugh at the character or make it seem their wishes were immature, which is something I particularly hate when I come across it.

I really want to get the last 2 books in A court of thorns and roses but I’m so upset they changed the dust jackets! I love the Illumicrate ones but I know I can’t get them. Which ones would you recommend?
Hmm Id recommend going to Etsy for dust jackets of the whole series! There’s tons of options and then you can just get any hardcovers and just replace the dust jackets
I actually did go to Etsy! I ended up buying a beautiful set. I wish illumicrate would sell some of their products in the boxes. So many people would buy them!
