Soul Calibur 3 and Tekken 3 come close in my opinion, in terms of music
I'd say not just the most epic, but also the best, aside from the Super Smash Bros. games' soundtracks.
Not really fair to compare any ost to a Smash game considering how much they take from othher games. But yeah this, UNIEL and SF III 2nd Impact are waaay up there. Though I'm not particaularly into this song. But I have many good memories associated with it

This stage was heart pounding as fuck. The music made you feel so powerful, like you could take on anybody and win. Plus all the flashes of thunder and lightning in the background, the fact you were fighting on a decrepit ancient ruin and you could fall in at any moment, if your opponent got the upper hand on you really amplified the tension. sonicteam2k1 The music, the move sets, and the characters were the best in SC2. SC3 had some awesome new stuff like Zasalamel, the challenges, character creation, unique weapons for custom chars, and oh god, chronicles of the sword! I feel SC3 had better features, but SC2 was overall a better game, but SC3 was almost just as good, they were the height of the series. It has fallen so far unfortunately. They NEED to bring back chronicles of the sword! I don't understand why they refuse to do this. I don't like the new characters of SC5 either, they need to go back to the original roster. Talim, Siegfried, and Zasalemel were my favorite characters. Man I really hope they go back to the original roster...
Damn, those A.I berserkers in the dungeons will haunt me to the day I die. This music made them bit easier to bear, though.

There was nothing weirder than playing Weapon Master and feeling that I’ve explored every Soul Calibur 2 character and then coming across those guys. Like we could at least get what Lizardman is supposed to be from previous games and Assassin laughing at us at least diffuses some tension, but Berserker is so weird. Dudes just make animalistic grunts and say gibberish, don’t even look like anyone else in the series either.

My best character was Ivy. I still get goosebumps when she goes "it's time to die!" In her commanding evil voice. I fucking loved her, Asteroth, and Cervantes
Personally I prefer Link's pure hatred, in every single... vowel in every sound he makes. He does not talk. He goes "HYAAAAH." Strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies.
