Yeh Im UK as my name suggests I love Cole Trickle days of thunder I spend alot of my time trying to raise the gear ratio of vintage Tamiyas, so my Super Astute is on 8.49 thats the highest a 21.5T brushless wants 5.5 off road. So I cant double the pinion unless I halve the spur and that will be home made it has a slipper its 2wd. Hell there isnt a pinion (0.5 mod) on earth so Im trying to find a 48dp spur about 50 teeth to have a pinion of 40 teeth. 21.5 she would fly so much torque.
Interesting try and go low Kv small spur and massive pinion almost 1:1 and wind her up. In oval you only accelarate once its not F1. Im trying to explain this to other rc hobbiest higher Kv does not mean faster in a race maybe speedrun. Go low Kv or turns whatever but gear up I dont like wheel spin thats a slipper clutch job
