Sorry about your truck, JT. Guard your health while you are making these great videos! It's amazing how those rails bend with curves. I have a degree in metallurgical engineering and it still amazes me how something thar rigid flows through the curves. Thanks for some really great entertainment.
Again awesome video Jaw Tooth your looking great to bad about your truck anyway all your videos are beautiful and country 🚂🚂🚂🚂👍😃😎♥️ Again awesome stuff and enjoying watching too Jaw Tooth awesome ❤

Thanks for your comments! I hope you are feeling well also. I am feeling well enough right now that at this minute I am packing my bag and heading to Florida tonight. I have videos scheduled for the next week but I will put some Florida shorts up also
J.T. Those were great videos. I love watching your videos. I used to work at a paper company and it’s sad to see all of the empty paper buildings now. They closed the Big Champion building’s in Canton North Carolina last year and it’s just sad. These companies employed hundreds of workers and towns were built up by these companies and now they’re gone. It’s import paper. You do a great job videoing trains.
As a model railroader that lives where there are no more trains, some of these locations you get to, are wicked! Those old abandoned industrial buildings in the background are great for modeling. And thank you for showing us the location on the map... so I can find it on street view and look at different angles. Thanks Ol' boy!
We're so sorry about your truck getting hit and you're freezing. Sad😢. You're appreciated for all your sacrifices in bad weather.❤ Sweet fur babies. Chessie wants to sleep. Loved this video. Thanks. ❤😊
I had one replaced on my car for $250.00. Got it from the local boneyard and paid my mechanic to install it. Since I have a $500 deductible I left insurance out of it. The rail train was cool and it seems the number of manifests is up. Awesome Hamilton action, enjoyed it much. Thanks JT!
That’s expensive for a boneyard part. But we all have seen the prices go up up up even value village i was shocked at the way they raise prices for things they get free .my favorite is can i keep the change ?
Yes, JT...your camera did pick up the classic FDL-power rumble from the "belly of two (GE) beasts" @6:20....very cool. Listen to that gorgeous Nathan horn atop Geep38-2 2635 on the Local with a caboose. Local freights are very cool...down here in Central Florida, CSX hosts a bunch of 'em...L772 is a favorite in my area between Winston Yard (Lakeland) and Davenport...always an adventure! I've probably said this before...worth mentioning again...Hamilton is an awesome place to train watch. Your winter scenes, in this video, with those beautiful skies, are perfect. 👍👍

The welded rail train was awesome JT!!! I was fortunate enough to see rail like that being unloaded locally many years ago. What a cool operation! I would love to see how they load it. And that's a beautiful old brick building on the far side of the train! For some reason, it seems like architecture in industrial buildings isn't a consideration any more.😮 Fabulous catch! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Love Hamilton, the land of long trains and where the train horns echos in the open space. They just seem to sound louder there. Love welded rail trains. Great catch! Thanks for the video Brian, stay warm roll on
I agree with you. I love filming in Hamilton and welded rail trains are one of my favourites. I am going to put about 6 or 7 of them into one long video and call it Welded Rail Trains Galore!
Can't believe the way people drive these days. That was awesome to see they was hauling what they roll on there. Very awesome live action there my friend.

Hey Jaw Tooth I like your videos I love trains I’m a retired dump truck I from Chicago Illinois I’ve become more educated about trains thanks to you and Shoestring take care man can’t wait to see your next video’s
Thank you for this second video from your railfanning trip to Hamilton, Ohio on 22 January 2024, Jaw Tooth! The Continuous Welded Rail train was fascinating to watch as it snaked through the curves on the former Chesapeake & Ohio tracks through Hamilton, Ohio. Continuous Welded Rail must be flexible as it is placed on a curve. The two trains that were over two miles long had a variety of cars in them. Our friend, Wide World of Trains sees some of those Kasgro depressed center flat cars running through Dunkirk, New York with some large transformers on them. One of my granddaughters was driving her mother's Chevie Malibu on the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/I-94) in Chicago, Illinois at night when a car in the lane to her right came over into her lane to avoid a car that was coming into the other car's lane. In the process, the car from the right broke the right-side view mirror on the Malibu. My daughter had to purchase a new right-side view mirror and have it installed. My daughter did not tell me how much she paid for the mirror or how much it cost to have the new mirror installed on her car.
Thanks for your excellent videos. Travelling through your area in June on Hot Rod Power Tour 24 in our 66 Impala and, of course we are going to stop in LaGrange. You do good!!!
That continuous welded rail car is very impressive!. If you make it as far North as Toledo, I bet they have a humongous rail yard right there on Lake Erie! A lot of live action going on.👍
I think the mirror can flip back into position. That’s happened on my older dodge van. The glass not being broken, may be able to be glued back on the adjuster mount.
Hey jaw tooth cool rail train. It's always fun guessing whats in each car. The crew have a consist sheet telling them what each car is hauling and where its headed to. Have a great railroad day 🙋♀️🚂
Love your winter train shots...sorry to hear you are not 100% yet.....you might want to have that guy pay for your mirror repair as they are not cheap! Take care.
JT, your pets do not have weird eyes. Their eyes have cells full of crystalline material which reflects light, which has already passed through the retina, to pass through it a second time, making their night vision better than ours.
First train with the nice impressive cars of new steel rail. Since they were low on gondolas that monster CSX train tried to make up for it with coil cars Ingot Flats a few regular gons and some battered scrap cars and even a car headed for scrap. Since we couldn't scrounge up a DPU the local came back with one potato two potato empty reefers Last train has a bit of a fluke in that there are two separate groups of small tank cars with a QLF sticker in the upper left corner which stands for Quality Liquid Feeds. They have about 10 plants across the US and it seems all have rail service but their HQ are in Dodgeville WI which sadly has no rail service since the C&NW dropped service on the former Ridge Runner line. Good to see the temps going up to help assist in your spirits going up
Wow! That was a super long CSX mixed freight. I love the steel plates, they were huge, and the drop deck flat car! I only wish it would have been loaded. The steel tubing or channel were cool, too! The rest of the train was great too! Fantastic catch JT! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
141 cars JT. 😊 I counted 175 plus or minus on the last one. It was an awesome NS? mixed freight. Very long with a great mix of cars. Slow but steady, a great train! Another excellent catch. This must be long train Wednesday! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Chessie and Loki kind of look like cyborgs with on red eye each. 😂 😊😊❤❤ I just adore your pets! They, each and every one, seem so sweet. 😊😊😊❤❤❤ Spectacular video today JT! You caught some amazing trains and gorgeous architecture. It doesn't get much better than today! 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
As far as I can tell there were 42 welded rails on that train. At 130 pounds per yard the rail itself would weigh nearly two and a half million pounds. Just amazing! 😊😊❤❤

Crossing a street 3 weeks ago on the light, I near got hit. People make me wonder. plenty of potash on the last train. ever find out what the weird gondola was. glad you were not hurt.
Glad you're feeling better, be sure to take good care of yourself, take the time you need to heal up, spend these cold days cuddling with your critters on the couch!
Yes! Thank you! It's hard for me to stay home and miss the trains. Today I went out again and got some good stuff but my jaw started hurting and I left early. They say it's going to take up to three months to heal completely. It's hard for me to talk. I am kind of wishing I had just left it alone and let nature take its course. lol
People are driving recklessly now. Sorry to hear about your truck, JT! :( Can't imagine what a truck mirror goes for. A Toyota Camry mirror (sheared off by a truck!) cost $100 plus labor.
Agreed! Mine also just got hit. 2017 Nissan Armada with all the crazy stuff like sensors for drive mode and adaptive cruise, heater, dimmer for bright lights, motors, lights, bears, oh my, $2581, person didn't leave a note, got complicated for no reason. His Ram truck looks like it at least has a heater, and servo motors to move.. Guessing around a thousand, but the guy stopped, so that's good. People need to pay better attention fo sho😊
Right around 40 years ago, I stopped seeing cabooses. Now, it look like they're making a comeback. When I was a kid, a 100 years ago, I used to watch a kids show called "Captain Kangaroo". On one show they sang a song called " Little Red Caboose." After all these years, I still remember that song.
Mirror shouldn't be too much of a problem..should be able to find a U-tube video to help a DIY fix. At least the guy came back and manned up. Great video JT and cool catch on the rail train! 🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
That happened to me - teenage vandals broke my side mirror off and the shop had to completely replace it. Actually, I thought the price of a new one (including installation) for my 2004 Chevy Malibu was quite decent but it probably depends on the make and model of the vehicle.
Sorry to hear about the mirror of your truck got damaged, I'm sure hope everything's okay, great catching all the trains by the way, I like the trains, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you.
Awesome video as always! Glad I got to meet you in Walton today! I'm happy your feeling well enough to enjoy some trains, hope you make a full recovery soon!
That was nice talking to you! I hope you saw the long grain train that passed shortly after I left. I leap frogged around it at Erlanger. I heard it on the radio and saw part of it. They cut 2 pushers off of it and the pushers went back down the hill. My jaw started hurting so I got some Ibuprofen at home. I can't wait until I can talk normal again. I'll bump into you again there in Walton. Also, thanks for watching my videos!
@@JawTooth I was able to catch that grain train and another southbound behind it along with the CSX local at Locust Street! I hope the ibuprofen was able to get rid of that pain for you. Hope we run into each other again in the near future, I've been enjoying your videos since late 2017! Have a good rest of your night, hope your pain subsides soon!
@@kentuckyrailroads763 I did see that last train also. Right when I was leaving I saw its headlight coming. It had an SD70ACe leading and it had a DPU on the rear. That was the very last one that I saw
Couldn't help noticing your hat ( very nice) I'm from the UP of Michigan way up in lake linden watch your videos all the time big fan. Keep up the good work!!
You need to take it easy, and I hope you have been. I've not caught up since you went for surgery and I see a lot of videos to catch up on. That cold had your face frozen a couple of times there though. I hope they send more nice long trains that don't have you running about much, sir. Sorry about the wing-mirror but the guy was good about it. Yus, plenty cars on those longer trains. Good to see the new rail going out there! Even breaking out the old cabooses! You keep safe and all the best wishes Jaw Tooth. Cheers!
Sorry to hear about the surgery JT, and the wing mirror. Hope you feel better soon. If the plastic isn’t broken inside I’d be off to a scrapyard (junkyard in the US?) to get a new piece of glass or whole unit. They vary so much in price , I paid £30 (50 dollars) for a Ford and £100 for an Alpha
That rail train was a great catch. You / one would never think mile long rail, could be transported. I watched a huge change in Tehachapi CA, changing rain and changing from wood to cement ties. Crazy. Watched from a distance, but still got scolded when they were grinding new sections.
I love freight trains my whole life (77 years) , and the sound of the diesel engines are music to the ears !.
Thanks for watching my video!

It burnt down over the summer. arson

That rail train is something else! Hard to understand how it gets around the curve. Glad you are continuing to feel better. Don’t overdo it. ❤

A simple mirror from a 1960s car turns into a very expensive fix for a 2010 plus car eith all the electronics.
The rolling noise in the 2nd train is a definite aural clue that the cars are maxed out!
Rain Rain,Rain. On with the show.
Thanks for mentioning my birthday. Get well soon. I sure watching your videos.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Sorry to hear about the mirror of your truck got damaged, I'm sure hope everything's okay, great catching all the trains by the way, I like the trains, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you.
Thanks 👍
Jaw Tooth so much for the videos you put out I am a huge trains enthusiastic.
Thanks for watching!
Couldn't help noticing your hat ( very nice) I'm from the UP of Michigan way up in lake linden watch your videos all the time big fan. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks for watching! Yup, my Yooper Chook came from your area. Best hat ever! Jason Asselin gave it to me
You need to take it easy, and I hope you have been. Cheers!
The rumble does come through my Sonos sub! Outstanding.. That rail train was cool!
Cool, thanks!
JT, just saying I was out shopped on 9.11.51 the same day the final Lima- Hamilton unit was closing out locomotive production in Lima.
That rail train was a great catch. You / one would never think mile long rail, could be transported. I watched a huge change in Tehachapi CA, changing rain and changing from wood to cement ties. Crazy. Watched from a distance, but still got scolded when they were grinding new sections.
Glad you are back up Brian !
About 10 years ago I thinkn I paid around $400 to get a mirror replaced
Rail trains are cool and awesome
