  • NOAA has issued a weather watch warning for Lane County heavy weather: thunder, lightening, hail, debris & mud flows burns with heavy downflow mountains in Oregon.
The first alert went out on Thursday! I guess NOAA wanted to get this message out before folks went out for the weekend. There still are vast patches of areas in Oregon without cellular coverage.
The burn scars are rather unstable and will suffer off vast quantities of: soils, tree debris, rocks and lots of mud.
Folks should be aware of their surroundings and avoid low areas this weekend. Expessially true for valleys within burned forest lands.
The additional wind will grow fires and we should expect more new wildland fire starts with the lightening.
    Stay alert out there folks.
