Out of these two teams, it's honestly best for baseball if the Dodgers win simply because of the further growth of the MLB taking over in Japan. Yankees handled the Astros just fine in the regular season. Previously, they couldn't beat them ever, not just in the postseason. Sometimes the top teams have to meet in the end regardless of sport so the regular season is not just a formality.

"Every Mets win was by the skin of their teeth" Uh they won their 2 games by over 4 runs without losing a lead? I'm not saying the Dodgers weren't the better team, all their wins were blowouts, but EVERY win in this series was a blowout. Just two teams throwing haymakers at each other.

This is not the same Yankees team that existed prior to 2000. The 2024 Yankees are the PlayStation brand of the MLB, they just lucked out because the '24 Stros were much weaker than the previous season. The 2024 Dodgers are JUST as TOUGH as the 2017 Dodgers, and if Roberts doesn't Overmanager this time, The Hollywood Dodgers will not only prevail in 5 Games, they'll have an even EASIER 2nd Consecutive Crown in a row than the Astro's 2nd Crown in 2022. @@harper-leightonscott4566considering I'm a Reds fan who's been dead inside since Joey Votto left, I'm not even going to entertain that with a response
@TheGame052 i feel the same way to as a Reds fan i hate both these fucking teams with a passion
1:24 Three certainties in life death, taxes, and watching my baltimore teams choke in the playoffs
"The Yankees own Cleveland in recent postseason memory."
Yet, Cleveland has given the Yankees two losses in the postseason where they were leading in the 9th inning. And honestly, those games were sheer luck in of themselves. Cherish those small victories.
As someone who worked on the original Need for Speed titles back in the day, I gotta say how much I love that you use that music as a backing track for these vids. Keep up the great work, UT.
I am rooting for the meteor
We haven’t had a Yankees vs Dodgers World Series since 1981
This World Series is just Hitler Vs Stalin but in baseball.
It's more like Chiefs vs. 49ers in the Super Bowl
im just happy my Yankees are in the WS again i still remember the day i turned 10 in 2007 and my dad made me choose who my fav sports teams where gonna be i chose the Yankees because it was my Uncles fav team chose the Ravens because Steve McNair and i chose the Bucks and i honestly i dont know why i chose the Bucks still confused on that one till this day
2:13 Spaceballs reference? Oh hell yeah.
wow i missed that one! good eye
For the amount of money both teams have the last couple years, over a billion dollars each in total contracts, if these two DIDN’T make it, they would be the greatest failures in the history of sports
The spirit of Fernando overcomes all.
Called the NY/LA matchup at mid season, only thing I might be wrong about is the Dodgers winning in 6, Manfred might force it to go to 7. Tried to tell my delusional Mets roommate it wasn’t gonna happen once my DBacks were out, but she didn’t listen smH
The Perfect Dark music had me taking a trip back to the early 00’s
This was one of the best episodes by this creator. Music, editing, and OfCourse the humor. 🔥🗽💪🏽
Here’s what you do for Hockey wait till about Thanksgiving so you can give yourself some breathing room
I want to thank Tree for not picking the Dodgers to make the World Series. That really helped the team.
If it means Shohei winning a World Series, I can deal with LA arrogance and insufferability.
Nice to have one of my teams make this hater’s guide. Though I know Tree takes no pleasure it in. Should be a fun series!
There are 5 constants in life: death, taxes, the Brewers blowing it, an NL East 6th seed randomly owning their rivals in the postseason, and the Yankees terrorizing the AL Central
I have to give it your soundman Tree…the Ohtani blast at San Diego with a kaboom and whing sound of him flinging the bat was perfection.
Watched it three times giggling. 😂
This is the first time UTree has had to talk about a New York team. As a New Yorker it feels good man
Finally one of my teams are in the thumbnail.
17:37 Ken Griffey Baseball SNES music ❤
Giancarlo earned this. He finally turned it on!
Congrats Yankees fans, Tree has an ongoing streak of 5 correct predictions:
Last year were the Vegas GK Stanley Cup and Rangers World Series, and this year; Kansas City Super Bowl, Celtics World Finals, and Panthers Stanley Cup.
“Yankees in 6”
Well congrats dodgers on the World Series
Yankees handled the Astros just fine in the regular season. Previously, they couldn't beat them ever, not just in the postseason. Sometimes the top teams have to meet in the end regardless of sport so the regular season is not just a formality.
Thank Christ he picked Yankees in 6! Let’s go Dodgers!
I'm a Rays fan, I intensely hate the Yankees but then again the Dodgers beat us in our most recent World Series appearance, I don't know who I want to win
Please make a Brewers legacy of failure vid Tree. Us Brewers fans need to learn about our failures
As a Red Sox fan...we're fucked.
You have no room to say that, when both teams are concurrently YOUR Little Bitch.😂
I was at the Brewers Mets Game 3 live…I was sitting with a couple buddies. When Alonzo hit the homer we all didn’t say a word for 5 minutes straight…yeah the bottle was consumed
Of all the teams to do spring training in my area, it has to be the team that was banging trash cans. I can't drive down Haverhill and 45th without thinking about that. I am soooooooo happy they weren't in the ALCS, let alone the World Series. For now, I can rejoice! Despite the loss to Cleveland in the ALDS, God bless the Gritty Tigs!
Let's not act like the Yankees wouldn't have ran through Houston this year
Yeah I was going to say... Houston was significantly weaker this year.
The Yankees barely scraped past a farm team that wasn't even supposed to be there in the first place.
Fuck MLB and fuck the Yankees.
It doesn’t matter who wins, we all lose. Annoying LA fans vs Annoying NY fans.
👏🏾😆😅😂🤣👍🏾
🧠🎯💯
We all lose unless the fault lines in California open up and swallow both fanbases whole. And then Rob Manfred and the ownership groups fall all the way into the ninth circle of hell where Satan awaits them.
Most excellent Summary, now for your take on the Thursday Night Clusterfuck....
We will be talking about this season well into our 80s!
Im an astros fan
I cant believe you thought they were gonna run the table this year. That roster was rough
16:35 IN OUR DEFENSE we deserved a ring anyways after being scammed by the Astros 🗑️🗑️🗑️
I love your MLB videos and only reason I follow you 🎉
I was waiting for this video! Thanks you
Cheers for the Bret Saberhagen shout out!
This is not the same Yankees team that existed prior to 2000. Ever since they got reverse swept by the Red Sox they have blown games in ways I didn't think was possible. 2009 was like an abusive boyfriend taking his gf out to a fancy restaurant one week as if to say "see I'm still a good guy" before beating her again the following week. This Yankees team would without question give the Dodgers their first real championship in 36 years. And they'll do it in the most embarrassing way. I'm a Yankees fan and my prediction is Dodgers in 5 and one of those Dodgers wins in a shutout.
Agreed. The Dotcom Era Empire Yankees ended with the 2004 ALCS with Red Sox FINALLY breaking their Generational Curse. In '09, Yankees just had it good because Selig and Steinbrenner were keeping their Salary Fat, had A-Roid and a Solid Starter. Hal's 2010s Roster was a CHEAP and Shoddy Imitation of George and Joe Torre's Dot Com Era Dynasty, and the 2017 Roster WASN'T really all that good to begin with, EVEN without the Sign Stealing Allegations, 2017 Astros STILL were destined to take the Yanks down. 2019 also proved it. 2021 was a Mirage, and in 2022, the Yankees got some Tasty Humble Pie after getting OWNED over and over again by the Astros, 2023 was a Shit Sandwich. At leas the COVID Cup memes will die.
Nice to know Tree's World Series prediction matches mine...
Congrats to the Dodgers on another title.
as a CLE fan i’m happy we made it that far. best series in baseball playoffs in recent memory despite the series outcome. Rizzo needs to work on his defense tho, every hit his way during the CLE series was either by him or an error by another player
Royals will be back. They just need to make the right moves in the hot stove season.
Also, Costas’ commentary in KC v NYY was so awful I was second guessing whether he was ever good.
Kinda ironic a former ranger gave the Astros the death blow
As a Rangers fan, it's worth it cause we got a ring after that
