Thank you for the compliment. It's strange, a portion of the motorcycle vlog community are die-hard motorcyclists, and another portion of the community are video guys. Why? Because motorcycles offer THE BEST footage. Period. You get the best in either enthusiast camp. I refuse to use drone video. Drone video following me on a clean paved set of sweepers in a river basin is artificial. The beauty of leaning and letting the landscape fly by, that is poetic motion. Look forward to an upcoming "how to" video where the title graphic has me taking a hammer to my GoPro mounted to my helmet. I'm not stupid enough to do that, but you get the gist (most titles are hyperbolic like that). I've almost entirely removed GoPro video from my on-board content. The Insta 360 x3 is far superior at capturing stable video, and the ability to run several video files from several different angles, from the same camera, is revolutionary. Next series will be in Summer, where I ride Idaho. Perhaps do the Lolo pass from Lewiston into Missoula, then north in a counter-clockwise loop, maybe crossing briefly into Canada, then back down through Coeur d’Alene. In this series, I will run my audio through the Insta 360, NOT the GoPro. The GoPro will likely not even be on my helmet. I may even purchase another Insta, the latest one with the 1" Sony sensor, then have two Insta 360 cameras on the bike. I will likely end up with six separate video tracks, all synchronized to I can make those iconic 3-second lap dissolves between shots while still retaining exact synchronization between angles. I'm getting psyched just typing this out!
Dude, I'm getting really excited about this whole UA-cam creative marketplace. I talked with Shelley, and I think doing an Idaho run post Labor Day is going to happen. I'm going to trailer the BMW up to Fruitland, Idaho, drop the trailer, then head north to Lewiston to do the Lolo pass into Missoula, then north in a counter-clockwise loop, maybe crossing briefly into Canada, then back down through Coeur d’Alene. I have the one Insta 360 x3, but I can get another. I'm ditching GoPro and doing multi Insta 360 cameras on the bike. Do you still have access to the Kawi Concourse? Lets get something happening, even if you do a partial ride and peel off. You can be a celebrity on my iconic ride series. Life is short.
