A great practice aid! Despite the monotony, it is strangely 19:58 inspiring, perhaps because it’s delivered by a living legend who eschews glitz and glamour (love the white T-shirt and the name-tag ball cap) with a compelling backstory. Thanks, Frank!
Excellent timing ... pun intended. Been working on my picking a lot lately, trying to build up both speed and accuracy. On the triplet picking, do you typically default to down-up-down, down-up-down for each quarter note beat? I guess mechanically, straight alternate is faster (down-up-down, up-down-up, etc.) but I can see that D, U, D helps to stay on top of the beat...always playing downstrokes on the quarter notes. Just really interested to hear the mechanics of a professional player since I'm putting a lot of time into this.
It helps it helps for sure. Just heard Gary Moore throw "I feel fine" riff into "Hey Joe" solo... I dont hear much melody quoting in those type of tunes
Frank.....question. Is there a specific reason why you are trying to pick the Triplett exercise - down/up/down on every Triplett ? Just curious. Wouldn't it be easier using alternate picking, or is there a payoff at the end from doing this? Thank you!! Your big fan ! PS..I trust your advice.
Hello Mr. Vignola! What model of guitar is that? It's absolutely beautiful. I met you at Ignition Music Garage in Goshen, Indiana after the superb gig you played there. The virtuosity on display that night by you, Mr. Raniolo, and Mr. Mazzaroppi was very entertaining.
These practical exercises are very good, Thankyou. Something other online teachers should think about.😊
Glad to know how you are managing your recovery so well and sharing these warm up skills with us. Thanks Frank.
Very helpful. Thank you.

As if playing without distortion ain't hard enough. 🎵
Does anyone know the brand and model of guitar he is playing?
I believe Sadowsky
