I wish someone would react to Beverly Hills Ninja, Almost Heroes, or Dirty Work. All staring Chris Farley.. Though he's not the main star in the last one. Legend Norm Macdonald is.
@JohnnyXoz my mom said that she can relate to Tommy accidently breaking the car door at the gas station because she did the same thing to my dad's first car
Hi Dasha!😊 When Tommy was taking the test near the beginning of the film the correct answer was "JOHN Hancock". He is one of the founding fathers and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Great reactions to one of my favorite comedies, Dasha!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏 Have a great weekend!😘
Just like his comedic hero John Belushi, Chris Farley was bigger than life. Unfortunately, they both died from living bigger than life at the age of 33. Chris and David Spade were great friends, just like Belushi and Dan Aykroyd who was Mr. Zalinsky. Julie Warner was also in "Doc Hollywood" with Michael J. Fox, which I recommend you check out. Love when you do comedies, Dasha. Your giggle and laugh are so great.

David Spade, who played Richard in this movie, stars in another of my favorite comedies, Joe Dirt. Please react to that movie when you can. Joe Dirt is a unique and lovable character, much like Tommy Boy, and the movie is a lot of fun. You'll love it!
I can't even remember how many times I have confused this movie with Black Sheep! Classic. The 80's and 90's were the best time to be a kid. The music, the movies, the cartoons. In literally every way. I may be biased but, I'm also right!
I'm not sure I've ever heard her laugh that hard before. That was awesome! Great reaction as always. Tommy Boy is definitely a must watch. RIP Chris Farley
This movie is a classic, Rest in peace Chris Farley. They sure had dedication, especially that one small shot of the deer standing on top of the car then jumped off. That was a real live deer, which they had to lure in by placing food in the car and staking it out nightly for 5 weeks until they got that one small shot.
Classic. The original script had the stepbrother as Tommy’s main counterpart, and Richard as a lesser character, but when they saw Farley and Spade together they changed the whole script to showcase the natural chemistry they had.
When Tommy says "she's like a 10" about the woman his father married, that was because actress Bo Derek starred in a movie called 10 which came out in the late 70s, early 80s.
Hi dasha, out of the many countless times that ive watched this movie, with friends and family and reaction channels like yours, this was the first time that someone immediately saw the fiances motives from the start. when you said "But youre at the table though?" that intuition was on point.
It's great to see Dasha laughing so much!❤ This movie is one of the funniest movies ever! Tommy boy is a great underdog story or (lucky fool)! Haha 😂😂 Luv the father and son storyline it's a great friendship! Tommy comes thru in the end and keeps the town alive! Great reaction Dasha Luv ya ❤💛
I am glad that this movie put you in a great mood! Chris Farley was a master of physical comedy who had a fantastic personality that just drew people in towards him. He was gone too soon! If you are looking for another heart warming comedy, I suggest that you watch, "Uncle Buck" with John Candy.
Yeah, I got this DVD too. Always good for a laugh. When Tommy sees his new stepmom and says, she's a ten. It's a reference to the movie that made her a star. It was called, "10". ✌️❤️🌹
Hi Dasha, I saw the thumbnail and was very happy to come watch your reaction. After you said you had a difficult day, I knew this movie was going to be perfect to help your mood. this is a great movie, and Chris Farley was a very funny man who came to fame on the comedy skit show Saturday Night Live". It was a great time for the cast of that show that included other members such as David Spade (Richard in this movie) Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Mike Myers! They have all gone on to a good degree of comedy success. Unfortunately, Chris Farley had a substance abuse problem and died far too early! I hope you will get to see some of his other comedic ventures. And as always thanks for the great reaaction. It is always a pleasure to re-view movies with you. take care!
Chris Farley was originally going to play Shrek. But sadly he passed away right before finishing all of his lines. So they rewrote the movie and changed the animation to fit Mike Myers. They only kept one scene from the Chris Farley version. The camp fire scene. There's a video on UA-cam of rough sketch of the scene with Chris Farley and Eddie Murphy doing the lines for that scene.
20:23 the expression you make right here is the same expression you had when watching Kung Fu Hustle, when you saw the guy that always had his pants hanging down. 😂 great reaction to a classic!
Dasha, I looove this movie. Thank you for reacting to it! As much as you liked the chemistry & the love/hate relationship of Tommy & Richard in this one, you should definitely check out a very similar film that I love just as much as I do this one, which is the film 'Black Sheep (1996).' It also stars Chris Farley & David Spade, it also has them go on the open road together, & it also has them essentially hate one another for half the movie. But just like this one, it is non-stop laughs as those two (best friends in real-life) get to ham it up for an hour & a half.. Chris' physical comedy & stupidity & David's quick comebacks & insults & being at the receiving end of most. You should give it a watch, I consider both films a combo deal & I watch them both as often as I can. It's like the fake sequel to 'Tommy Boy' we never knew we needed..lol. Much love, girl..❤
As much as I like Kevin James, it still hurts knowing Chris passing is basically the reason he's worked with Adam Sandler so many times. Kevin is funny, but Chris is a legend.
In regards to the John Hancock / Herbie Hancock thing... 1. Herbie Hancock is a famed Jazz musician/bandleader 2. John Hancock was a founding father & merchant whose signature on the 🇺🇸Declaration of Independence who used his big signature as a way to stick it to 🇬🇧🤴 of whom he was at odds with. 3. Because of this, "John Hancock" has become slang for one's signature or autograph!
David Spade and Chris Farley have another movie together called “Black Sheep” that’s pretty good. These two were a good comedic couple. It’s so sad that Chris ended up dying two years after he did Tommy Boy. He was destined for a great career. Adam Sandler had plans for some movies with Farley. Farley was supposed to be the voice of Shrek and had filmed some of his lines before he died. 16:15 the board Spade hit Farley with was real wood except for the part that was supposed to hit Farley. Spade messed up and hit him with the wooden part instead. 18:25 the girl is a friend of Spade & Farleys and they talked the director into giving him a part. Some go skinny dipping even though they have a bathing suit cause of the feel of freedom and the rush of someone seeing you. 20:16 David Spade actually did this to Chris Farley in their actual hotel rooms and Chris fell for it everytime. They shot three variations of Chris Farley in the "housekeeping" scene - in funny boxers, in funny bikini briefs and naked from the waist down. Cast and crew agree that the naked one was the funniest version. In one of the naked takes, Chris was, very ostentatiously, swinging his body in such a way that his penis kept popping in the shot, and he said into the camera, "Do you like the movie, Ms. Lansing?" (referring to Sherry Lansing, head of Paramount at the time). Peter Segal knew that the studio would not be pleased seeing that and made sure they burned the negatives of that take afterwards. This movie gets referenced in the film 50 first dates. The institute they go to they said was funded by TB Callahan (Tommy Boy Callahan) out of Sandusky, Ohio which is where this factory is located.
It helped that Spade spent years at SNL crammed into an office with Farley. Their chemistry is something that only comes from that kind of proximity. Even the aggravation comes off like a pair of college roommates. They may bitch about each other, but anyone else makes fun, they’re ready to fight.
The dad, Brian Dennehy, you have seen as the mean sheriff in Rambo: First Blood. The "she's a 10" line is a reference to a movie Bo Derek was in called 10 (in which Dennehy has a small role in also. It's a good movie, but not many people know about it today, you should check it out 😉🙂)

The joke was that the only person who would employ a worker with no skills would be his dad. Chris also loved his dad fiercely, so he was using his own emotions about his father for Tommy's grief; unfortunately, Chris' real father outlived him. This movie was a huge hit on video. Most of my friends and I watched it multiple times.
Hi Dasha. hope you're well. RIP Chris Farley. ❤ In my opinion of course, Chris was good fun to watch and passed way too soon.
