The "Fat guy in a little coat..." bit came from the days when they shared an office at SNL. Chris Farley would always prank David Spade or try to make him laugh and he put his coat on one day and started singing. Makes me happy that it was something from their real life together.

After listening to a recent interview with Spade I had more of an appreciation for this movie. Micheals refused to give them time off from their SNL job to make the film so they would fly daily to the set of the film and then back to NY to get ready for SNL. They did this the entire time the film was being made according to Spade.

Also, on an unrelated note, I happened upon another fan of the channel in the wild! I’m in eastern Pennsylvania, in a relatively small town, so it was quite the surprise. You’re celebrities!

This movie and a few others like Billy Madison were critically sh!t on when they came out and did moderately well at the box office, then everyone got them on video and they became beloved classics. Comedies like this started doing really well after this, Sandler made a lucrative career from it and it sucks that Farley didn't stick around and reap the successes.

You are correct. You can't tip cows. Physics doesn't let that happen. 100-200 pounds of person can't move a literal ton of cow. Even smaller cows are several times our weight. They won't move unless they _want_ to move.
