That's the thing. It was really exaggerated. I wish they had showed it exactly how it was. People who want to visit will still visit. It's better to know what to expect beforehand.

If that is waterfall then rain from rooftop can also be described as waterfall.

I've visited this stream before, that was in 2012. I saw monkeys here as well when I visited the stream. Akwa Ibom Ayaya.

Yeah. I read about the monkeys in the area, although I didn't find one during my visit. I heard no one is allowed to kill the monkeys though.
I find this quite interesting. And welldone for showing us this.
Ps. About the source, I think that might have more vim than this other part. I really wish there were no superstitions about it.😊

Seems to me like it's a thing with some waterfalls. When I visited Olumirin waterfalls in Osun state, I was told almost the same thing about the source of the water, & they had a moulded pot instead to show people what the source of the water looks like.

I think you should make a video and send it to the minister of culture and tourism, explain to him the challenges you’re facing as a tourist in the state from the locals. Perhaps also the governor.

I am Akwa Ibom, sometimes stay near Itu, been to several waterfalls in Nigeria, spent 2 days two months ago exploring Farin Ruwa in Nasawawa. I will knock Samuel Muarice for not telling me this... bold hold on, 10k for what? 500 to 1k max... but this is tiny na. Akwa Ibom is mostly flat. It is something sha...it falls.

I think it's high last time I visit but at that time I notice the clif or the wall of that water fall was colapsing inside the water it seem the wall is of alkaline material very soft and whitish or ash in color once it collapse inside the water with time it solidify that my experience if this is obong itam stream

Well, disappointing as this may seem to you, nature to me can not be faulted.The beautiful thing is that it is still a waterfall. Wether big or small water falls remains a mystery and it's a typical way of appreciating the awesome power of the most high God.

I know I mentioned in the video that I still had fun regardless. In my travel vlogs/videos, I carry people along and give a step by step account of happenings, experiences, and my finds. This story was MY EXACT experience.
I’m not in any way faulting nature, as I absolutely love it.
My problem is with the misrepresentation of the exact look of the waterfall in the photo I saw which led to my visit.
I would have still visited to satisfy my curiosity even though the photo showed the exact height of the waterfall, but then, I wouldn’t be disappointed, because I knew what I was going to see before I travelled to Akwa Ibom.
Imagine if you came across that photo at one point in your life on a magazine & you do not live in Akwa Ibom. You then paid your transport fare from maybe Abuja, to visit & see the waterfall in Akwa Ibom with a certain picture in mind. As a human, wouldn’t you wish the picture you was more accurate?
