It's interesting how differently I would have placed some items in the kitchen, especially given the amount of cabinets. Shows how much we stick to what we grew up with.

Awesome! Just a little tip for the future though, never store potatoes and onions together. They both release gasses that make the other spoil faster.
I never knew that!
Not to mention, that is also the worst cupboard to store them because the heat will spoil them quickly. Low and cool is what you want for onions and potatoes 😊

ok now i feel depressed I just had to pull everything out of my pantry ROOM due to a mouse infestation, and now its time to put it all back, but i am low income and even with $ store prices no way can i get all the things i want to properly organize it...I have tons of ideas but no money to do it lol. Trying to decide now where to start and how without the pretty baskets and things cause it was a total disaster before and i dont want it to be like that again.
I think I would have moved the kids cabinet to the lower section where they can get to it and move the cleaning up where they can’t get to it.

My thoughts exactly! I also would have used the carousel for pots, pans and lids with handles facing the front for easy - and quieter - loading and unloading. A nice job well done on the cheap thanks to dollar store. Pretty generous gesture to do that for the folks.
Think she put them up high so kids won't make a huge mess.. kids love getting Into things lol

Ohhhh my god, after watching this video now I remembered watching this few years ago. It's been one week that I keep on watching your videos first thing in the morning, after work, and before going to bed.... I love all your videos...
I am like you! IT's EXACTLY what I do wirh cleaning. Not only do I do kitchen, cupboards, closet, I also do full garages! I take everything out of the garage put it out on the driveway clean the place we fit watch it down and completely and utterly reorganize label jacket from the bottom to the top in sections and when it's done people come out and they cannot believe how much space they have. Organizing one space at a time really helps the world. Everyone needs to get organized. It puts a lot of sanity in the space. Also it is an artistic create. I so enjoyed watching your video. I felt like I was watching myself. I would have done exactly what you did, generally. Good luck in your life and I will keep organizing on my end here in the USA!

A tip for you...when I lived with my Mother, I did the grocery shopping and we were forever running out of the one flavor of soup that momma wanted for lunch.
So.
On the inside of the pantry door, right beside the shelf where I kept the soup, I taped a list of all the soups, with how many of each there were. Whenever I made soup, I would change the number on the list.
So here we are on shopping day, do we need soup? Wow, only two cans of cream of mushroom...better pick up more.
Then when I get home, quick make a new list, tape it up and we're done!
I do this too, Makes life so much easier!
Great job! I'd suggest buying the slide out trays you can get from Costco for the lower cupboards. It really helps utilize the entire space.

I don't think I have the stamina needed to clean a kitchen that size. We have a small kitchen.
I noticed, though, that she didn't check for expiration dates. My hubby and I put the newest food or articles in the back!

and the chemicals be put away at the top

I was thinking the same thing. But if the kids are older and know not to touch them then it should be just fine.

I've watched so many organising stuff videos but this is the only content that I cried to fondly because of how you used your skills to make your parents happy and how in turn they appreciate all your efforts. So touching! Congratulations!

Hi Kristen.. I cake across your video by accident. Just to share with you that I started declutttering my kitchen last month. First, under the sink, where I kept most of my pots. After decluttering, I only have a couple of pots left unfer there, and gave away the rest. Then two of my cupboards (Tupperware containers) and one full of water bottles. I didn’t give any away, just rearranging them. Two days ago, I went on half of my kitchen shelves; continued with them yesterday. It felt good to come into the kitchen and see how organised my shelves are. Today, I continued with our pantry and stock cupboard. Feeling fulfilled!

Nice job! Oven mitts and pot holders belong next to the oven so they are handy. Towels and washcloths right next to the sink. Glasses on top next to the sink. Silverware in drawers under the glades….everything coming out of the dishwasher should be in the same general area for easy unloading🤩. You did a great job and are so kind too!

You did an excellent job . You are indeed a huge blessing to your parents. I love the way in which they welcomed and accepted everything you had done to make their lives so much easier. They just loved it. I am by nature a very organized, clean and tidy person so I really apreciate this in someone else.
