Hi Greg/Keegan. I know this is way off-topic for this video, but you guys are the Yamaha Gurus and I trust your opinions on them. Would like your thoughts on a 1988 Yamaha Inviter. I have located one locally, and am thinking about contacting the seller. It definitely looks different from just about any sled out there. Any thoughts/opinions on that model?
In all honesty, we've never owned an Inviter. I know some guys love them, and I haven't really heard any bad things about them other than the standard stuff like the tracks are hard to find etc. I think they would've been more popular if they hadn't gone for the spaceship look on them lol. All of the Yamaha reliability that came out in the 80's... Hope that helps a little. Happy holidays, and thanks so much for watching our videos!
@@3gsgarage117 Thanks for the response. Yeah, it definitely had a look all its own. Not sure what they were thinking with that one. Still riding the fence on it. Would be a fun unit lust to bop around the trailer court on, or maybe a little trail riding here and there. There is no denying that the late 70's-80's Yamahas were pretty hard to kill, so there is that. I don't recall seeing many liquid cooled singles though, so that in interesting as well. Too bad nobody makes simple one-lungers anymore. I still wouldn't turn down the right deal on a Bravo. Anyways, I wish all of you a Blessed and Merry Christmas. Let's all keep on praying for some real snow.
Good catch on that bearing, I better check mine out now. when does the race season start for you guys and how is your snow situation, we don't have enough here in North Dakota yet good video guys take care.
Hay Man!! Thanks for the continued support! We have zero snow right now. Every year for the past 6, we've had enough ice on the lake at our place up north to ride there, but not looking like that will happen this year. The first scheduled event would be at ERX motor park in Elk River MN at the midwest ride in on Jan 28th. Still waiting on a bunch of important details for that though. Cheers!
This years schedule is looking like a Race in Arpin WI, at least 1(maybe 2) in Elk River MN, Neosho WI, Possibly 3 Lakes WI, and 1 in the Wausau area. We typically have done first person gopro footage of the racing, and if you look through our videos from last year, you will find some footage from the Ditchbanger national and some other events. Thanks for watching!!
You should find a big socket or piece of pipe or something that just fits the bearing hub to put the bearing hub against to support it when you pound on it so you don't break the housing. It will come out easier too with , ok
Absolutely. After we shot that scene we discussed the proper way to do that (which is not how we did it lol). We also discussed if we would leave that in the video or not, and we thought it might be a better youtube business decision to leave it in ;) Thanks so much for the comment though, and thanks for watching!!
Ha! Yes it was, and immediately after shooting that part we discussed the right way to do that, and contemplated taking that out of the video. Left it in with the hopes of generating some more comments lol. Thanks very much for watching!! Keep those comments coming! :)
I’m honestly not totally sure what it came off. I found it in our parts pile. If I had to guess it’s off of an early Polaris Indy. With very slight modifications it fits perfect on the stock throttle block.
Great tutorial guys!! Cheers boys! Have an awesome Christmas and Best wishes for 2024. Look forward to your up and coming projects and tutorials.
Thanks much for the continued support!! We really appreciate it!
I use copper wire to hold the fan blade in place, keep the info coming

Curious to know where you race and if you plan on taking any videos of races

Call Lon at thunder product for UFO'S and Quad wings-it makes a torque monster out of round slide ! (better than a flat slide all RPM )

What throttle lever did you use with the slide carb?
