- Fabrizio Romano has just reported that Chelsea FC is leading the race for Michael Olise and he could be close to a transfer back to his boyhood club! Olise was one of the stars alongside Eze at a struggling Crystal Palace team last year, and now could finally be getting his much anticipated big move! More high quality chances per game and multiple players who are dangerous enough to occupy 2+ players in the defensive 3rd of the pitch is how to win games now. Having a one striker model who scores the most makes attacks a bit easier to read.
Loving the you tube videos. Long time subscriber to the podcast. Love how Olise would fit in. I think Maresca will have to adapt to a 4-2-3-1 it fits our team better. Possibly the inverted full backs will lessen the effect of overloads in the midfield. Ongoing hamstring issues with Olise is a concern

Chelsea has three sick notes in chilwell , james, and fofana albeit good players 👍 olise hasnt a clean injury history either . Chelsea need consider this when in pursuit of new transfers this season . Good update btw.
IMO Maresca´s setup is kinda set in stone. He has to play Colwill as his leftsided CB(if Levi stays he will "demand" the spot). Reece is a given at RB. Midfield Caicedo and Enzo are also set. If we sign Olise then Palmer, Olise and Nkunku are kinda required to play. Those are all either big money signings or highly rated players by the board. So he got wiggle room for a rightsided CB. A leftback, a midfielder and a striker or another midfielder. But 7 out of the starting 11 are more or less required to play. And our bench will feature the likes of Gallagher, Sterling, Noni, Mudryk, Jackson or the new Striker(maybe even both), Gusto, Santos and an army of CBs. Since we have Tosin, Disasi, Badiashile and W.Fofana. Heck maybe even Trev will stay. On top of either Chilwell or Cucurella. Juggling the game time between all these players is not an easy task. And next season with Paez and Estevao joining will be even harder. So i guess we all can agree whats bound to happen to the likes of Angelo, Washington, Datro Fofane or Casedai. They will be fliped for profit. Or ending up at Strasbourg to get our primary feeder club into Conference League Football. So someone like Pedro Lima gets an even better development over there. Making Chelsea more attractive to young talents. They start in a good european league with european football.
With what will likely be a 60 match season I seriously doubt this will be the case. There will be rotation (if Maresca wasn’t giving any opportunities to an expensive player, sure) and whoever performs best in the new system will likely nail down their spot for the bigger games. Enough for everyone to have game time and I don’t think we’ll have too many untouchable per se
