I think I may be the only youth to watch/comment on this, but I went to church as a kid, was in catholic school all the way until I graduated high school. As a youth the church and the culture that surrounds it is disgusting to me. The consistent coverups about the misconduct done by the church (priests) and the blatant refusal for allowing questions to be asked about certain parts of Bible actually made me turn away. I don’t think you should be asking yourself “what is wrong with the youth of today?”, we aren’t from the middle ages, we live in a world where we are more informed than ever and yet you still want us to believe in your faith? This faith, that has turned a blind eye to the abusive, corrupt, negligent order that preys on the weak and vulnerable that endure, in the hopes that it may offer them salvation. While I still hold my own faith I chose to keep it to my self while not perpetuating this system while enduring the fear of getting fiddled by a priest.

So sorry to hear about your experience growing up in a Catholic environment. Please note that we are not a Catholic organization. We are as repulsed by the actions of the Catholic priests as the rest of the world. However, even more serious than that is Catholicisms distortion of how to be saved which, unfortunately, leads many people away from Christ, rather than toward him. For a summary of how to saved see: creation.com/good-news You will likely notice that it is quite different than what the Catholic priests teach. And if you have questions about the accuracy of the Bible, perhaps our website can help you. A good place to start is here: creation.com/qa There are now (Jan 2022) more than 13,000 articles. This page groups key (not all) articles by subject. Also try: creation.com/genesis-verse-by-verse This page groups articles by Bible verse. Churches thinking being more "hip" and within culture and being cringe (less paid) Joel Osteen types IS not okay.
We are called to be more not of the world, but different, distendguished. I went to the youth rallys, concert Christian conferences with all the bright lights and out of touch ways of preaching (not out of the bible, but out of "youth bible study" ideas some guy in kakis and a t-shirt came up with overnight).
Those were the days my faith tested me, and the worldly atmosphere our church's bring to our youth do not help. Thankfully I had Godly and very traditional elders in my church who I worked and worshipped with constantly who kept me on the right path. Not only from the world, but the liberalization of the church to be more attractive.

One of the problems with Christianity is that most sermons are either solely about the New Testament or are Joel Osteen style sermons that have very little to do with either the New or Old Testament. Most of Joel Osteen type sermons resemble improved Tony Robbins motivational type lectures on how to be successful in life or resemble get rich quick schemes.
Deuteronomy 4:2 basically says not to substitute Joel Osteen type material for the Old Testament as Joel Osteen type sermons support Christianity’s adulterous & idolatrous worship of idols, money & financial success.
The reason the Old Testament or Tanakh is so important is that the Old Testament is more or less a history book of the human race. And if you don’t learn from history, you are doomed to repeat the same mistakes you have made in the past. The main problem with the New Testament is that in terms of a history book, it only goes back to the time of JC. The New Testament just doesn’t cover a very long time period. The Old Testament goes back to creation of the universe and covers a much larger time frame.
The big question is about whether or not Christians should be worried in the least.
The answer is found in Isaiah 27:1 with the Leviathan representing Christianity. G - - always lives up to His promises. Of course, you would only know this fact if you have read the Old Testament. Another thing to consider if you are well read in the Tanakh is that the Levites lived on tithes in exchange for teaching G - -‘s word to the populace. Not long after the prophet Joshua died, the Levi group of priests much like Joel Osteen began teaching the populace more about what they felt the populace wanted to hear with the motivation largely being to get the biggest donations. Once Jews re-instituted idol worship & turned away from worshipping G - -, G - - had approximately 95% of the Jewish population massacred first by the Assyrian army and then by the Babylonian army. Only a small remnant of Jews survived. G - -‘s punishment for the Jews was considerably worse than what happened to Jews in World War II in terms of percentage of the population massacred. And G - - considered Jews His children. So if you think Christians will somehow escape G - -‘s wrath from idolatrous Joel Osteen type preaching, then think again as G - - doesn’t have the same type of relationship with Christians due to Christian worship of JC as their savior. Isaiah 27:1 will eventually prevail, and G - - will very likely not spare even a single Christian artery or vein. In fact Obadiah 18 basically states that there will be no survivors from the house of Esau.
Are there any other unforeseen problems created by Joel Osteen type preaching whereby very little Tanakh based scripture is taught during sermons? Yes. First Christians suffer immensely financially & socially from this type of Tanakh-free preaching. Just look at how many radio talk shows have popped up in major cities across the USA with the theme of “catching cheaters” in regards to adultery. Cheater themed talk shows are incredibly popular and are now major advertising revenue creators for radio talk shows as radio listeners love to hear about other peoples’ misery. Adultery, and divorce caused by adultery is absolutely rampant throughout America. The social costs are in the multiple billions in terms of children who now live with one parent or who now have to move back and forth between parents during the holidays. Poor quality, low Tanakh content Joel Osteen type Christian preaching also invariably leads to rampant antisemitism when divorced broken family angry Christians look at their happily married Jewish neighbors who tend to not only be happy in life but who tend to have multiple happy and well adjusted children. And all this Christian divorce, misery & unhappiness could be so easily avoided if only Christians would realize that the only person cashing in on Tanakh-free sermons is possibly Joel Osteen and his family. Tanakh-free sermons create a situation much like the mega state lottery where there is only one 400 million dollar winner and everyone besides the winner loses the $3 they paid for the tickets. With Tanakh-free sermons, Joel Osteen is the main lottery winner.
Additionally, the Christian version of the Old Testament in the Christian Bible has been so severely altered to support Christianity’s love for idolatry and adultery, that the Christian version of the Old Testament is no longer even remotely usable. Go to Sefaria.org or Chabad.org to get an unaltered free online version. If you don’t believe adultery is a problem in the USA just contemplate the proliferation of morning radio show programs about catching cheaters.
Additionally, what does the Tanakh or history of the human race say about false prophets/ preachers who lead their sheep-like followers astray for massive financial gain? Well, it never, ever ends well. For example, mega-preacher Gwen Shamblin Lara who instead of teaching Tanakh based scripture, tried to get Christians to lose weight through nutrition. Gwen Shamblin Lara perished at a very young age in a plane crash along with her husband and 5 other church leaders. And the list of Christian-type total disasters goes on. The reason Gwen Lara Shamblin perished is that historically one of G - -‘s main weapons of destruction for His enemies is disease / pestilence. Obesity is a disease, and if G - - had allowed Gwen Lara Shamblin to continue living, she would have been in direct conflict with G - - in preventing Isaiah 27:1 from coming to fruition. Read last 3 paragraphs below to learn about G - -‘s other preferred weapons He sometimes uses on His enemies.
I know many people feel “saved” by JC, but there is a big difference between “feeling saved” and actually being “saved.” For example, you might feel totally saved & safe jumping off a plane 30,000 miles up because you “feel” you have the best parachute money can buy. However, if you forget to read and apply Tanakh to your life and cheat on your spouse, you won’t actually be safe if the parachute cord was cut by your spouse after discovering the affair. But, then it is too late once you’re headed downward at 110 miles per hour. You see, you don’t want to end up fulfilling Isaiah 27:1 with your own life.
If you’re interested in current events about the talk about the Gog Magog war starting, read Ezekiel 38:18-23. Isaiah 27:1 basically continues with Ezekiel 38:18-23 if you want to learn what happens when G-‘s anger flares up over army invasion of Israel’s soil. G - -‘s weapons of choice will be pestilence, bloodshed, torrential rain, hailstones & sulfurous fire, so that the world will know that G - - is both Lord and savior.
Judging from past holy wars, bloodshed is typically referring to as some type of psychological warfare on enemy army where enemy soldiers standing next to each other begin fighting each other in confusion.
You see that if you are well read in Tanakh, you see the world through a very different lens, and you immediately see and understand that the current war Russia is unleashing on the world is nothing more than G - -‘s very creative way of using a number of countries to fulfill Isaiah 27:1 as G - - once unleashed the Babylonians & Assyrians on Israel as a very creative form of punishment for the Jews. Ukrainian Jews were less than 1/2 of 1% of the Ukrainian population, and post World War II Jews are incredibly well versed at exiting war torn countries well before situations worsen. The main concept from the scriptures that directly relates to current events is the concept of “bloodguilt“ and the book of Samuel I. Vladimir Putin will very likely end up exactly like King Saul due to excessive bloodguilt - premature death - but not before first being used by G - - to bring Isaiah 27:1 to fruition.

Tbh, I became an atheist because my pastors couldn't give me an answer I could find acceptable to why suffering is in the world. I still don't have an answer I find acceptable.
However, another major factor for me was that no church was ever able to indulge me at a scholarly level on a broad number of topics including archaeology supporting the biblical account, textual criticism, Biblical Hebrew, Koine Greek, and better attempts to interpret difficult passages. To give an example, one class I was in struggled to figure out the meaning of the word 'sacred,' as used in the Old Testament. I had learned this years before, on my own, when I started studying Biblical Hebrew. Provided that a christian knows how to use simple and widely available resources (mostly a Strong's Concordance and a Hebrew Lexicon), this is a simple question to answer.
As far as interpreting difficult passages, this is usually solvable by simply making use of Biblical commentaries, the existence of which the churches I've been to seem to be unaware of.
Compounding this is the fact that I differ on major theological questions compared to evangelicals, such as not recognizing the Trinity.
Also, I haven't met a single Christian that found informed debate stimulating, like myself, and was able to do so in a civil manner. Instead, some Christians I have opened up to have reacted with fear and anger.
There were one or two other Christians I met that were actually curious about what I had to say, but didn't strike me as informed at a more academic level. This lead me to the conclusion that there's simply no place for me in any christian church.
That being said, it's too much to expect single small churches to be that informed in such a broad number of academic fields, no I don't blame them for it. My standards for knowledge are too unrealistically high. They just don't have the resources (money) for that. Then again, my experience is probably not typical.
On the other hand, if they presented more scientific or academic evidence in even one area, even evolution, I probably would have stayed. It certainly would have caught my interest.

Ik there isn’t too much evidence for God but tbh there is so much that we don’t know about this universe that there has to be a God, another thing is that I’ve found so much evidence to me of why God exists. Like of how humans are so powerful, I think God chose humans to be the wise of the world, because we are the only ones who have different languages, houses, jobs, money, etc but no other animals have that. I don’t see how evolution can do that. Another thing is that I was under heavy depression for a few months but I realized I was loosing my faith when I regained my faith a few days ago I just became way happier.

@@trentenwalden3220 Praise the Lord. I'm happy for you. I feel happier, too, after having been in a church for about a year now.
I wrote the above before being in the church I'm in now. My perspective is very different now. I don't think I was really looking for proof of God, so much as I was looking for people that actually cared about me--which I found at my current Church.

I was thumbing over fb and happened upon a Methodist church service. A lady was playing a piano and it sounded like a hymn-funeral song. I noticed that it looked like maybe 6 people in there and all of them were seniors. The youth do not like the old hymns nor the old ways of 60 70 80 ear old people....Im not young myself and I did not like the music either. I do not know how they going to do it but things have to change or more churches will shut their doors once the old die out..Im just say as it is.....

The church and the political, anti-god education system can't stop a person from thinking. If students want to stop thinking, stop searching, stop seeing what has true proof, that falls on them.

Basically what you guys are saying is that the more young people are brainwashed at a young age, the more likely they’ll stay in the religion. There’s absolutely no way you can demonstrate why Christianity is true and Islam isn’t.

Actually, the surveys conclude that people leave the church if they are not taught the evidences for the accuracy of the Bible. (As we explain in this episode.) We do these shows to reveal the evidence for God's Word that so many people don't hear as they grow up in the church. People who are educated with these evidences are then able to refute the evolution fairy tale, and they remain in church. For example, at 20:38 we show a clip featuring interviews with university students. Very revealing!

    • @2fast2block
      @2fast2block 6 років тому +4

Unholy Mole, you said, "They leave because they don't buy into your fairy tale".
I"ll be honest, I don't go to church and will stay out of them because they also have a set agenda on topics and will not change even when shown the obvious proof against them. That being said, it doesn't mean they are wrong on everything and I take their good to learn. The same with atheists, when they have an expertise on a subject, I listen and learn.
About fairytales, that is something I didn't want to believe in and was prepared to change whatever I previously believed because I found it didn't hold up to the evidence. It's was easy for me to say but it did take a lot of deep cleaning house that I had to swallow.
About fairytales and what I have seen, soup-to-man mentality on the most part believes in:
A natural creation but it makes no sense by the evidence we have that it could have been natural going by the 1LT (1st law of thermodynamics).
After that, there is no way we can get order in the universe due to it being an isolated system proved the the 2LT.
After that, there is no way of getting life from non-life proved by the 2LT.
After that, you will never get an upward progression of higher forms of life, proved by the 2LT, information needed and all the needed parts needed at once for it to happen.
About the Bible, no one can disprove it. It is proven beyond any reasonable doubt.
Again, I don't want to waste my time and energy on fallacies, but you're just some flash in the pan wanting to try to sound as if you know things that are true or fairytale. Go ahead and impress others, it isn't working with me. I can prove that by there is NO way you can go down my list in order and disprove any of it. It's the same old story when I have the many debates with people like you, they accuse creationists of the very thing they do themselves, including, believing in fairytales.
