Smartest blizzard fan trying to understand the simplest Riot’s lore lmao
Overwatch players biggest problem is that they're too smart that they either don't understand or they forgot how simple things work, leading to lack of common sense.
His take is wrong but i think the real problem is there are people like XQC who needs the story to be put inside a single comic because they cant put the pieces together like in valorant practice range hints
It's not even about paying attention to hints from range it's just about looking at the screen when Killjoy downloads data about radianite location (aka plant sites) and listening to Brimstone when he literally says "WE NEED TO STEAL THEIR RADIANITE COZ THEY WILL USE IT AS WEAPON AGAINST US"
Cause he pauses every 2 seconds he doesn't know what's happening. Also he doesn't even watch every valorant cinematic so why is he complaining about lore and knowing oppositions and sides.

Brim at the begnning literally says "Go steal the radianite" and x just didnt listen and continues to wonder what the hell they are doing. DUDE THEY CAME TO STEAL THE RADIANITE. KJ LITERALLY DOWNLOADS THE LOCATION OF RADIANITE IN FRONT OF YOU WHILE U LOOK AT CHAT

They possibly already have the story written before the game comes out. Plus its a bad idea to make a game with a lore in mind without having the story written first. They will be too many holes. You and xqc doesn't know the lore doesn't mean everyone is the same. You don't want to catch up with lore then don't run your mouth like you do know it.

As someone who just watches the trailers and cinematics, I think Valorant's story is pretty self-explanatory. There are 2 worlds, and both of them have Valorant characters. One world is invading the other and stealing radianite, and with the episode, it seems that they they need the radianite to save their own planet.

For the content in the video: As for why they’re attacking if it’s a life support system? They didn’t know. The alternate earth is dying because their kingdom mined and used all of the radianite there, so that earth sent agents to our earth to get radianite in hopes of saving their world. The map fracture is actually a facility where both earths were working with each other to send safe energy to Omega earth. Chamber blew up the facility for reasons that haven’t been explored yet so far.

I hate how he doesn't know any shit about Valorant Lore and refuses to know lore but he has so many criticisms to say on the cinematic on how it's "Bad" and he still thinks he speaks for everyone 💀💀💀
Whatever he said about Overwatch might be true but it's kind of inconsistent because lore wise friendly characters are often seen fighting in game or even rival characters happen to be in the same team whereas in VALORANT there is even an explanation for why there are mirror agents in a match. VALORANT even goes as far as to show that the enemy characters having highlight on them is not just a gameplay thing. The gameplay and the lore/cinematics are way more consistent than any other multiplayer game. Anyone that is even remotely interested in VALORANT lore will find it easy to know the story they are trying to tell.

valorant lore specifically has been present since the beginning and its constantly evolving.. everything from maps to voicelines has lore in it lmao on the other hand ive never seen overwatch players that care about lore
Most overwatch players care about lore. Overwatch cinematics are some of the most watched game cinematics, and they dont reveal new characters or abilities, just lore. It’s just overwatch is kind of dead right now until overwatch 2 as opposed to valorant.

All valorant lore is Provided in-game and Cinematics. Everybody knows what really happening but of course the mystery aspect is not.

You will never understand the story, if you never read it
I actually find Valorant's take on the lore quite interesting, not going with the normal trope of "good guy" or "bad guy". I do notice his take on "making the game first, then the story", but I do not find it to be hindrance to the quality of the gameplay and lore. They literally did this in League, and yet League is still producing updates of champions and spin offs for a decade, unlike some games.
Still, I doubt his perception of the game changing anytime soon, as I doubt he would really care about something he never did.
(Also if you are interested in Valorant lore, there are videos in UA-cam that discuss this. I normally watch SirJeppy, he discuss it pretty well in a way you can easily understand.)

Here's my take on X's take and why i think he's wrong.
He said blizzard is focused on the lore and develops it first before the game. Yet literally less than 90% of overwatch players and blizzard fans literally do not give a damn on the lore because it turned out boring as shit and only watched the cinematics because of the quality. Valorant is the complete opposite where almost 20% or more of the fanbase and riot games fans cares about the lore because of how it's handled. If X could only focus and try to understand atleast 2 or 3 cinematics then he'll already understand what's happening, even if he doesn't play the game as much.
(And mind you, even in game, specially in the range there's already tidbits of lore like brimstone's office where recorded voicelines or emails to agents will be seen and changed every patch)
I'm not even mad, just disappointed at X for being so biased, comparing valorant to every blizzard game out there. It wouldn't be as much as a masterpiece as WoW's lore because of how long it took for it to be a masterpiece but I can assure you, it's already better than overwatch's and the future looks promising for the lore.

@@yabo2293 I forgot to say current lore. I'm glad overwatch's lore is finally getting love from the developers and writers and I'd love to see it improve. Just wish it didn't take this long to finally be continued
