It depends on where it is produced. If it is from Poland I too would describe it as a 9/10 Lager. (Not a pilsner). If it is produced in the Nederlands if is a noticeably lower quality, according to those who have tried both. Happily, where I live I can only get the Polish version which is a fine Lager.
Enjoyable video Paul. I love Polish lagers. My local Polski Sklep has the versions brewed in Poland which are stronger. Your average Pol in UK will only drink the brewed in Poland versions. We get the rubbish brwed versions here. Compare Carlsberg brwed in Denmark to the one that is brwed in Northampon- no comparison
This is the problem with a lot of these people. They come to the UK, but have zero respect for and interest in the culture. I go to Czechia or Poland and I drink the best beers on offer. And those countries have great beers. The UK of course is very highly regarded beer wise. Anyone with an interest in the culture of the UK would savour its amazing beers. Great beer is an important part of the culture of the countries that constitute the UK and that great beer culture deserves respect.
Your average Pole in the UK has zero respect for or interest in the UK and its culture. I've been to Poland. When I was there I drank the best Polish craft beer. If you'd offered me the best beer from England I'd have said NO. I'm in Poland and my respect for the country manifests itself in beer terms by drinking the best beer from Poland. Also meeting the best Polish people and going to the best nightclubs.
Drinking it for the first time as we speak. Plenty of flavour and bite. Stella have sold out to the two pint commandos and lowered the avb. So Tyskie will be my can of choice for now.
I am Belgian and not Pole but I get it straight out of Poland and it's 5%. It's by far one of the best pilsners. Better than all of the French, Belgian and Dutch pillsners without a doubt. It's in a league on its own that even czech beer cannot touch.
The stuff brewed in Poland is a far different experience bro and far better. We can get it in the uk brewed by Kompania Piwowarska S.A ul. Szwajcaska poznan, Poland. 🇵🇱
The quality of the brand depends on where it is made and bottled. If it is from Poland it is a very good lager. On the west coast of Canada I can get the lager made and bottled in Poland, in the UK you get the lesser version from the Nederlands. I have never tasted the version from the Nederlands but those who have tell me the stuff made there is noticeably lesser quality than that bottled in Poland.
Tyskie is alright! Alot of people say its very similar to Stella Artois. Out of the 2, id defo pick stella, but Tyskie is still an alright beer, Stella is just that bit better in my opinion. Ps. I thought it was pronouced "Tiss-Key" ? 😂😂
I'm Belgian and I'd pick Tyskie everytime it is far superior. The only thing that Stella has going for it is familiarity and it has a well managed cereal taste that reminds me of better german pillsner difficult to find abroad.
as craft beer drinker and a Pole i have to say tyskie is not the worst, but basically all of the polish beers from big concerns taste the same. tyskie doesn't have any big flaws, but it just tastes like nothingness. regional polish lagers/pils taste much better, i recommend miłosław pils and a lager from cieszyn brewery if you can somehow get them, they are pretty good
Agree. 6/10 is my rate too. Malt and citrus yes. Too sweet for me though. You know how it is , when it comes to lagers, It's the Germans and all the rest come after them.
You should review Lech - Polish lager. IMO It's the best of the Polish beers that I've sampled from my local corner shop and I've "sampled" them all. It's not as sweet as Tyskie.
I had a couple of lech's given to me yesterday. They have also had the abv lowered. This was also brewed in the Netherlands for the UK market. Still a nice drink. Will check next time I'm in the local corner shop to see if their cans have changed abv.
I’ve never tried that one. My fave ones are warsteiner, Camden hells lager and Brooklyn lager. And fellow spurs fan I have a season ticket south upper. How bad was the 2nd half against Sheffield United. Gutted and a lot of work to be done to get us challenging again. Apologies I know it’s a beer review channel,. But I know your a spurs fan.
Jose was never the right appointment in my opinion. He has no plan, short or long term and blames everyone else for tactical inadequacies. The sooner he’s gone the sooner I can enjoy watching my team again.
One of my favourite session beers this I swear its still 5.6% or stronger i really do haha i know they put 5% on now but i think its stronger paul if you come across zywiec another polish beer that is actually 5.6% in a white and red can if you can get that its a beautiful beer 👍🏻
I really like the ratings you give out to each beer, I find it ever so interesting, nice videos paul, keep up the good work, other UA-camrs need to learn from you on how to rate a beer, such as the UA-camr who's channel is called Please Do Not Lol, needs to learn from you how to give a BETTER review on a beer, i was watching a review she made about the beer brand Tyskie and find it silly the way she rates it😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The tyskie that is brewed in the Netherlands has a percentage of 5%. The imported cans you can get from Eastern European shops has a percentage of 5.6 as its brewed in Poland. The Netherlands shit isn't real
My second favorited beer and I've been around the world including drinking eastern brews i.e. Russian/Uranian that have not been touched by multibillion business conglomerates...
I love tyskie polish beers are underrated
It's defo one of the best balanced pilsners out there, no way 6/10, this is a 9/10 beer!
I liked this too Steve and rated it higher. I found it very drinkable

4/10 max !!!

Tyskie is a cracking drink... couple at home with a takeaway 👌🏼👌🏼
I had this, once (it's not sold in Louisiana), and I enjoyed it.
Nice lager, I’m drinking one now, my bottle doesn’t have any of the embossed crown and text in the glass... I enjoy drinking this ... cheers

Yeah the brewed in Poland version is much better

I drank gallons of this beer when I was in Poland. Outstanding beer on tap
Kiedyś było bardzo dobre, zwłaszcza z beczki. Teraz jest to koncernowy co najwyżej średniak.
Just got a bottle from Tesco to give it a go. Agree with you it's easy to drink it is just ok, bit of an after taste. Thanks Paul.

Living in the US this has been my favorite beer. 4 pack of tallboys for $3.99 and it's damn good.
Underrated beer for sure, very affordable in Chicago this month, only $9. Will definitely get it again
6x = $9 ? or only 1
9/10 all day long wonder if our bottle makes difference I would say Tyskie taste better out the can Paul chirping one now

Stella is a very edgy beer, just because it's widely available people underestimate it's uniqueness, Tyskie is much more mainstream. I love them both!

Nothing compared to Stella Artois how dare they

Was 5.6% when first drank it about 10/15 years ago , was a lot nicer too strangely 🤔
Better go to the nearest Polish corner shop and get one TYSKIE in a bottle, but brewed in Poland. ☝️
