ABOUT TDR EXPLORER

Hi, 👋🏽 I am Chris, aka TDRExplorer, and I started sharing my theme park adventures. Over the years, TDRExplorer has become a resource for passionate theme park fans looking to make the best of their trips to Asia. Including Tokyo Disneyland and Universal Studios Japan!
I reuploaded the video after noticing the audio was messed up. Thank you to everyone who pointed it out! With that said, let me know which house you'd love to do in Singapore! Also, you can watch my Halloween Horror Nights World Tour vlogs here: ua-cam.com/play/PLYiTKnRG1VUftSplUwQPv8EwxtMzBWPwz.html
Wow. Singapore went hard with those scares, especially in the All of Us are Dead house. Not even in the States do they get THAT close to your face. That’s crazy! This was an enjoyable world tour. Glad to see you had a great time!
I was terrified, as you saw, when the scare actors would get close to my face! I loved it haha. Thank you for watching!
@@tdrexplorer Netflix’s Sweet Home is coming to Halloween Horror Nights 12 in this year
It's sad that's it's over. It was a very good series/tour Chris. Thank you for sharing all of this with us. And a shout out to all the people that work during these seasons. It's not easy to be screaming all the time to people and repeating all the movements over and over again so others can have a good time :)
Thank you Chris!
Thank you for watching the series! I had a fun time recording them. YES! Huge shoutout to everyone who makes these events possible, they're so wonderful.
It seems like Singapore is more hardcore than the others 😂😂 I like it. It looks terrifying. And the scare zones look like extra houses, which is more fun. I hope to be able to go one day!
Dead Man's Wharf was so much more terrifying than I thought it would be. You have to try and visit one day!
@@tdrexplorer yeah! That one was my favorite scare zone of all of the parks, but I love pirates so I might be biased 😂😂
They actually toned it down due to complaints hahaha
This one had more screams from you. I love that you did this, as I am a chicken in the houses, but I love the detail. Thanks for letting me go through the houses vicariously through you!
I was screaming a lot this time around, I loved it! Thank you for watching and following along
As a RIP Tour guide from Universal Studios Singapore, I am glad that you enjoyed ! Definitely can say we have a unique take on horror here ! See you next year!?
I loved every minute of it! Thank you for everything you and everyone does to make this event such a success. See you next year!
Omg I am attending one of the tours on Saturday!! Excited!! I skipped a lot of the video because I didn’t want any spoilers. I get so excited when TDR is in SG!
Lies again? Blu Store Sistic Official Soundtrack
Glad you had fun in our local theme park! I'm too much of a wuss to go for a HHN event (I startle very easily and flail out so I don't want to hit anyone by accident) and damn, it looks like they really pulled out all the stops!
So, a few fun little trivia things:
- the old lady in Dead Man's Wharf who kept following you around, the one with the red headcloth-- she's known as a samsui woman, one of a group of Chinese female immigrants who came to Malaya and Singapore between the 1920s and 1940s in search of construction and industrial jobs, so they'd carry concrete/bricks etc on the ends of long poles carried across their shoulders like male construction workers. Their distinctive 'uniform' is a red headcloth, blue tunic and black pants.
- Rebirth of the Matriarch is very steeped in Peranakan culture, an ethnic group that is known for its unique hybridization of Chinese and Indonesian/Malay Archipelago culture.
- Cursed Kiramam - This is the first Indian-themed village in HHN Singapore!
The scare zones are next level! I love watching horror from other cultures, being able to see other cultures haunts was an absolute treat! thank you! Universal should start a foreign exchange program for houses! Take turns making a "this is what scares us" house then sending it to other parks. Thanks for the adventure!
Ohhh, that's a great idea. Have some of the houses from one park go to another for a year. Brilliant!
I'm surprised The Weeknd-themed haunted house didn't involve an impersonator of him forcing us to watch The Idol 🗿
Really enjoyed this series!! I am waaaaaay too much of a wuss to experience any of this firsthand so I've had fun watching it through your perspective and sort of microdosing the scares 😂 Thank you for all your hard work on these!
Thank you for watching the series! I had a great time filming it all.
hi chris! thank you so much for the video, i was a scare actor on duty in one of the houses and i had to hide in my little spot for a few minutes fangirling LOL! it was great to scare you and i hope to scare you again next year !! :D
oh my gosh, haha. I love that! I hope one of your scares made it into the video! Thank you for terrifying me!
Lol the last part of all of us are dead is hilarious. Dude was like “ANNYEONGHASAEYO”
I know it's too early to know, but I hope you are able to visit all of the HHNs around the world next year. This has been a blast to see the variety, and your channel is one of the few ones where I get to see how other countries handle HHN. Fantastic series!
Thank you for watching. I had a ton of fun recording this and would love to make it a regular occurrence!
WAo as a horror fan, after watching this series I take my hats of to HNS, they went overboard to make the guests not be abe to sleep lol. Between the houses and the experiences, that was crazy. HNJ super sweet, HNH and HNO they are just too extra gore, I'm more into scare me some zombies and paranormal and folklore. Thank you Chris and cameraman for the experience.
Found your HHN videos on UA-cam recently and I have to say, you rock it! Keep up with what you are doing because on top of great footage and description, your personality, reviews and topics are a mile above the rest! Keep it up because it was a delight to watch your videos so far!
Great to hear that you've enjoyed Singapore's event, and that our All of Us Are Dead house made it on your Top 5! 🥰
All of Us Are Dead is SUCH a great house. It was easy to slot it into my top five.
I didn't do Beijing because they announced their Halloween event after we had already filmed our entire World Tour (it was announced a day after I got back from Singapore). Also, it's technically not branded as Halloween Horror Nights, so to me it doesn't count. Maybe in the future they'll have HHN in Beijing.
The CCP has a thing against the supernatural - that's why there also isn't a Haunted Mansion in their Disneyland.
@@sizanix not really lol
If that's the case than Korea and Japan government too
@@sizanixKorea doesn't celebrate Halloween anymore.
@@cocaineminor4420FYI, Korea and Japan aren't ruled by the CCP. The CCP's policy against the supernatural is well known to anyone who frequently consumes Chinese media. I guess you aren't one of them
Great stuff! I had a smile the entire time watching this video! Singapore did HHN right! Their scarezones made you feel like you're in a house! The food looks so good. Everything looked so scary and fun! And seeing The Weeknd house again but with a newish story was awesome! I was really impressed with what they done! I definitely want to do all of the HHN events around the world soon!
Dead Man's Wharf was easily one of the best scare zones out of them all. I loved it so much. Thank you for watching and I hope you get to do a world tour too!
“Them lips honey” was the line that took me out 🤣🤣 never imagine scared Chris judging the Weekend scare actor while getting scared. Singapore seems great!
I said the first thing that came to my mind hahaha
What a fantastic series!!! Thank you for taking us on the journey! I didn't get to go to any HHN's this year but I'm so glad I got to see them through you, especially Japan & Singapore! I hope you can do this again! Get some well deserved rest Chris!👹
You are so welcome! Thank you for following along and watching.
Thank you for doing this! I've always wanted to see Singapore's HHN. ❤
You're welcome 😊
Awesome tour!! The costumes were amazing here.❤ The Fairytale one was my fave.
Thank you for watching!
This has been SUCH a pleasure to watch you go form country to country. You are a delight - thank you so much!
I am so glad that they let you record inside the mazes. Thank you for sharing
I am SO excited to watch this!!! I love these videos so much
Seems the scares in this one are good. Like if people want something scary althroughout, this is the one to go to. Anyways, awesome series! Thanks for making these videos and showing us all of the different Halloween Horror Nights. It's pretty cool to see the differences. I hope these help people who wanted to experience it to see which one they'd want to go to.
Asian themed horror hits so different. I'm happy you enjoyed our HHN this year!
Thank you!
facts
9:23 Oh yo this is really really good!! Looks like the knife guy was holding neon mask captive and neon was screaming at you to quickly leave!
Thank you for this video! I went on a saturday night which was a terrible decision (but the only night I was free). The whole horror experience was done really well, I really enjoyed all the haunted houses and scare actors, but I had a terrible time there because of the rowdy crowd. Next year I would definitely go with the vip tour to avoid all that mess.
The crowd was absolutely insane, the ENTIRE area at 5:02 was literally stuffed with people. I came alone, it was my first time at halloween horror nights, and I got pushed to the side and the trees were in the way so my side of the venue couldn't see the stage for opening scaremony. When I was queueing for one of the haunted house, there was this massive group of people who rushed in with me in front of me. They had more friends joining each 30 seconds, probably because they didn't walk fast enough with the main group. So I was just watching the already large group growing even larger, and even though the staff screamed at them that it wasn't allowed they still had so many people join them anyways. There were several boys in the back of the group near me, and I watched them literally caress a girl's instagram story and rate each girl's story that popped up in their feed. It was so disgusting but I was near the front of the line so I just toughed it out and went in another direction as soon as I was done with the haunted house.
The all of us are dead house was 150mins, and the grimm encounters one was 190mins. The rest of the houses were all around this timing, insane waiting times. I went to the mummy ride because that was open and had a shorter queue, but in front of me was a really really loud group of white(??) boys 😭 They really are SO FREAKING LOUD and rowdy and being really inappropriate. Hitting on girls really young and it was really really uncomfortable,, it's just a place filled with hormones and sweat (i'm 19).
Just a really terrible time with terrible people in the crowd. The houses and actors were really really fun though. 😭😭
Ahhh goals! So thrilled I was able to live vicariously through you for spooky time 🎃👻
Thank you!
I have to give you big props for going to each and every universal studios and doing each HHN in several weeks. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and opinions. I hope you do it again soon!
Thank you for watching the series, Lisa! I had a great time filming it. I've never screamed so much in my life, haha.
This was my first HHN Singapore, this event was pretty sweet. Loved loved loved Rebirth of the Matriach, felt like I had grown seeing so many funerals that kind of looked like that and seen so many houses, like the house I grew up in that sorta looked like that.
Dead Mans Warf was awesome. I wish they did horror like this in the States. Anything like that here in the states they cant get close like they do in Singapore. Great series Chris.
I loved Dead Man's Wharf so much! Thank you for watching the series.
Thanks for the HHN World Tour! 🎃 Great top 5 too!
Thanks for watching!
SOO cool to see all the Halloween horrors thru you - I love how different Singapore is! The culture included & the different approaches as a whole SO cool! As always thanks so much for all you do & keep up the great work ^-^
Glad you enjoyed it!
from all the horror Halloween 🎃 nights all over the world parks I think Singapore universal studio nailed it just by watching it even trough the video can tell that was really scary 🫣 omg thanks for always sharing this beautiful moments in your videos , stay safe 😊
USS did such a wonderful job with the houses. I got some of the best scares out of all the HHN events this year. Thank you for watching!
I been enjoying all of your Universal Studios Tour during this halloween season. Have a good day Chris.
Thank you for watching!
I'm going tomorrow to HHN at USS hehe! very scared though, ur video really helped me get a feel of things! thank you for filming ❤
I now crown thee King of HHN 🖤 this was really interesting to see houses outside of the states and what they consider scary etc i hope you can do this every Halloween season
Thanks very much for showing us
Omg! I didn’t know that you were in Singapore! Welcome and hope you had an amazing stay ❤
Chris at the end of the Grimm Encounters House:
I almost threw up . . .
*heaves*
That was . . . good?
It was good. It was good.
I need a rest.
The ending to your experience in this house was everything.😀 And I probably would have had the same reaction. Singapore HHN video is probably my favorite. Great video!
I went through a rollercoaster of emotions after that house. This was such a fun video to record, thank you for watching!
was able to go during the first week of october, the horror houses were really nicely made! dude who was at the top of the shelves at the All of Us Are Dead Horror house got me scared not because of the jump scare but I legit thought the dude was gonna fall off when he jumped so I lunged forward trying to catch the dude 😭😂
Nothing like being terrified around the world. Great job Chris.
Yes! Thank you!
wow the hacker scare zone looked incredible !!
Thanks for the walkthrough, I will never dare to go these places… resident evil is my favourite too! 😊
I went yesterday for the first time. It was enjoyable! Nice
BRO I WENT THERE LAST WEEK IT WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. I LOVE HORROR CONTENTS AND THE HAUNTED HOUSES WERE MY FAVOURITE
This looked the most fun. I would love to go to this one.
Singapore HHN is on my bucket list. All the houses seem SO SO COOL.
You have to try and experience this one day!
@@tdrexplorer I am hoping too!!! Depends on a few factors
As a resident here in Singapore, I always wanted to experience the ones in the States. I was hoping one day I will experience it with my friends. But we're glad you enjoyed your night at Singapore's horror night!
I hope you get to experience the other HHN events! They're a lot of fun and it's great how they all have a different vibe.
Those scare zones were next tier level. I hope you're able to visit again next year
I hope so too!
WELCOME TO SINGAPORE🥰 Hope you enjoy your stay!
Thank you! 😃
once you showed the pizza I immediately went yep, he'll probably be doing without the olives 😂 anyway welcome to singapore!!!
The moment I saw there were olives I knew I would be taking those off. Thank you!
Yikes, HHN Singapore is definitely the most intense - scare zones, mazes, shows. I could definitely NOT go it alone! If I should ever make it to Singapore, I’m attending the event! This is my fave overall (from your videos), but b/c I’m from SoCal, I’d have to say HHN Hollywood is the BEST😆
Some of those scares were some of the most intense ones I've experienced this year! I definitely recommend Singapore if you're a HHN fan.
Congratulations on your HHN World Tour
Thank you!
Dead Man's Wharf was super enjoyable when I went. The scare actors went so close to me
I love how the attractions are stuff like, "The Curse of Hell" and "Grim Encounters," and then among them there's The Weeknd.
This was a great way to get into the spooky season leading up to Halloween!
Thank you for watching me scream through the screen haha
@@tdrexplorer It's always a pleasure 😂
i just went to hhn at friday and finished Saturday at like 2 and it was the most fun exoerience ive ever had cause i went with 3 other friends. i definitely am going to hhn again next year
Omg! They have GWI-NAM!!!! Now I want to go to Singapore 🥲
Loved the set of the "All of us are dead" house! The sound in these houses could be better though ( like the ones at Hollywood or Orlando)
That was such a great house! As for sound, could you elaborate? I was too busy screaming to take note haha
Love how the Scaremony has a little “This is Halloween” sample
I loved that too! It's a cover by Marilyn Manson
It's a little Singaporean tradition to have This is Halloween sampled yearly in the scaremony or before it begins! Also to start each HHN with Knife Party's 'Power Glove'.
Omg! are you still in Singapore!!? I would've loved to meet you. You're my fave theme park explorer.
I'm not sadly, this was filmed back in September
9:50 it's so fun to hear the soundtrack of the game Cyberpunk 2077 in a fitting themed surrounding there
Is that what it's from? (I never played that game).
Yes, the first song in your video is the main theme called "V" that you hear in the main menu after loading the game and the other one I'm not sure.
Don't know about your taste in games but with the new DLC and update 2.0 the game is even better now and a real masterpiece.
@@tdrexplorerIt’s a great game once they got all the bugs out.
Oh i live on singapore! Damn didnt know what i was missing out on this year
Keep doing the videos Chris. Thx
Thank you for watching!
@@tdrexplorer this is the first time you reply my comment. I have been few times trying to reach you, but never get a reply. Thank you so much for watching!
As a Singaporean myself, I would love to go and audition to be a scare actor for HHN 2024. I think it would be pretty fun to do.
Orlando & Hollywood should do 1 more Weeknd House with Dawn FM
They should!
brave man!
Thank you, I try haha
The Weekend stayed in his car for you! He jumped out and ran straight to me with a knife, when i did that house
hahah I wish I got to see that!
The Weekend? How random! I really liked the pirate one.
Also love when Chris’s gay comes out. “Those lips honey! That’s some filler.” 😂
So we can understand and go
May I know what action camera are you using?
Hey Chris, i think you missed 1 park.... there is 1 more Universal Studios in Beijing, China..!
Would love to know how much did this all come I’m thinking about doing it next year with my buddy we are HUGE HHN FANS. I just wanna know including tickets flights and hotels
This event does not look crowded (especially in comparison with HHN in the US). Was it just due to the e specific day of the week or it’s normal for HHN Singapore? Thank you! 😊
He was invited to media preview night, so that's probably part of the reason.
This was the media preview night so there weren't regular guests. I didn't get a chance to go after it officially started, so I can't speak to how busy it is.
the universal in singapore is 1/20 of the universals in US. (49hectares) the horror nights is only operating from 7.30 - 1.30 which is only 6 hours and with close to 10,000 guests a day. its a running joke in singapore that the real horror of horror nights are the queues haha. wait times can go up to 150 mins per night. would recommend the express if you were to attend.
I need a description of that smell TDR
singapore has amazing scares!!!
They got me good quite a few times!
Woohoo you're finally in Singapore!!! I've always given the Horror Nights here a miss since Singapore's Universal Studios itself (sans any events) is pretty lacklustre compared to say Japan's, but thank you for showing that it's worth going to!
They definitely scored with the AOUAD house! I hope no Italians see that pasta on pizza monstrosity though X'D
Hope you had / have time to tour around other parts of Singapore 🤗
huh wdym they have the most innovative houses every time 😭
@@gabbietanyx7806 What I mean is Universal Singapore on its own is the most lacklustre out of all the Universals in the world so I wouldn't bother going to their Halloween Horrornights unless I've seen a video showing it's actually worth going to like TDR Explorer's
You need to do the die-ning in hell theatre show Chris
I wish I was able to do it! It sounds fantastic.
@@tdrexplorer Did you like our penning scaremony? I think it's world's best
How is this a complete world tour without having done Beijing Universal Studio's Horror Night?
Have you been to Universal Benjin?
Not yet, it's on my list!
Its cool that you still find yoirself getting scared...really does nothing for me,i just find myself laughing the whole time because its become too predictable

I didn't see any when I looked
I almost threw up... so gross..... It was *gag* good. lol!
If I'm anything, it's dramatic hahah
How can you take videos in the houses? Do you have permit or did you go on media preview night?
He mentioned it was a media night preview in the beginning.
@@nicoleacosta5545 oh sorry I must have missed it
