It amazes me that people don't know what a CB is, it's one of the main "Truck Driver" things. Long hours, loud horns and diesels, and the flipping CB calls.
Great vid. I was thinking about this game and this popped up. It is always super fun to hear professionals opinions on games that refer somewhat to their work.
10-97: Is Signal Check. 10-2: Signal Good (Which the first option was asking for Signal Check, so wouldn't be 10-4, 10-2 is correct.) 10-4: Is message received/understood.
You are 100% correct still get my CB calls messed up from time to time. I've driven for three years, but could only afford a CB last month, so still getting the hang of it.
@cadiankhione Most lingo doesn't go past 10-4 & 10-20 anymore, just guys whining. Hardly anyone has a radio, and it's sad. I've seen MANY truck with antennas that don't even have coax ran, just for show. Good ground and proper required power go a long way. Would be really cool if guys took time to do FM, don't need as much power and goes further more clearly.
Yeah i agree. My main issue though is that I'm a company driver, so beholden to what is approved by the higher ups. My company turns our trucks in every 250,000 or 3 years, so things tend to be on the basic and utilitarian side. Pretty much everything has to be some what temporarily installed.
@cadiankhione Do you drive a 2017+ cascadia? Oem antenna is junk. Get a heavy-duty mirror mount. Wilson, one is in truck stop, not great. Want one like Procomm PC-A55-02. You'll want to add grounding flat woven cable to ground mount to frame.
Yeah 2024 Cascadia. I'll look into what I've got as I'm not sure, I just had the company shop rig up one that was given to me by another driver. It has been working fine, but I was looking to upgrade it. Thx for the info.
Watched a UA-camr play this...when it introduced the CB i hear ...what an awesome idea we shuld have this in real life...i feel old

It's got it's issues, but I feel it's well worth the price tag. Plus the devs have already started to work on some balancing and feature improvements.
That was fun to watch, i hope you play this again!
Thanks for the video
