I love watching you both camp. For me a one night trip is not worth all that effort. I camp for 3 nights or not at all. Of course that’s in a travel trailer to cook and sleep in. Husband pulls it out there and leaves me to camp. He then comes back to pull the camper home. ☺️

G'day again to you guys and thanks for taking us on another camping adventure. The quality of your videos is superb and you do a great job on the editing Abel. Very entertaining, love the time lapse wood cutting, the meal looked spot on even if you didn't add any chilli flakes to give it that extra hit. Thanks for sharing the things you do when you're not camping. It gives us a better picture of who you are in your day to day lives, as a personal trainer and gambler (I mean stock market investor). Do those lakes have any fish in them or are they just runoff catchments. Looking forward to the next camp. Stay safe. Ian
Hey no fish up in that lakes as far as I know. Down in the bigger rivers there will be fish. Calculated risks lol

I am guessing Lake Locket. Looking forward to that Karamea trip. The Helicoptor Flat/ W Saddle route is boring. I recommend straight up to Biggs Tops along the ridge to Mt Luna and down to Kiwi Saddle.

Cheers for the educational information. Very helpful. I feel comfortable with my Exo Gear backpack at 35 pounds max weight. I am in good shape. But 50+ is a hurtful strain. Bravo to your life style. Certainly seems like platinum camping as you experience nature’s discomforts. Now I want spaghetti and meatballs. Cheers to that. For a fire, I use either zippo lighter fluid to light wood, or a sterno for an improvised fire. Q- I have a Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition. What size tires are you using? You have several fine tents but, this trip was your last time to use your Big Agnes tent. Hope you’ll use it in some big storms. Curious how it compares to some of your Hilleberg tents. I have the Staika and it’s a bomb shelter. It’s an excellent tent but it’s way too heavy for a solo tent when hiking in big mountains. Hope you’ll use your Big Agnes again soon in a big storm.

Hmm the Kunai would probably be better even though it used lighter weight material. The design of the ba makes it weak to side winds.
