It’s amazing that the statues have returned, they say the lord works in mysterious ways…..a pump organ gets donated, Nick and Michael learn how to reassemble it, the statues return , who knows what will arrive next? Lovely to see everyone busy with all the work going on👍🏼🙋🏼♀️
I feel like their returning those items is indicative of the value they place on what you’re doing. How deeply touching. This project is so inspiring to countless people.
I agree 100% i was thinking they've been watching what Billy is doing maybe they were optimistic at 1st that Billy didn't have the right intentions when buying the place. But have seen his renovations so far and we're proud of his progress
Clearly the French people are happy you are restoring the convent, they’d never give you that stuff if they weren’t. I’m grateful for your videos Billy, a constant in this wobbly world ❤❤
Billy , what joy and honor you must feel to have your father working shoulder to shoulder on this project with you. Wonderful memories in the making. Enjoy them all now and in the future 😊
@@cathyblackhall5237I agree. They’re perfect for the chapel to fill the empty alcoves , from where the probably originated. They are stunning❤ Should be put some wheel on that “altar” it looks like it fits with the platform the organ is on. Would be wonderful for seminars and cultural evenings and music events . Since the chapel isnt consecrated anymore , it can be used for so many things. And can be a real asset to the whole town❤ They can still hold weddings there also if the want to.
I would like to know a little bit more about Yanis’s story-he is such a hard worker and I would just like to know how he became such a, I think, valued part of the team.
Great catch by Mick with the falling lamp! Excellent progress! Fabulous episode! Glad Rick is doing well again! Great work all! Be well, stay safe all. Thank you all very much! 😊💜👍
Wonderful to see the artefacts returned. Great to see Rick again. Really admire the work everyone is doing, especially Billy for his respect for the convent. ❤❤❤thankyou 😊
Welcome back, Rick! So glad you are better. We really missed your smiling face! Billy, thank you for preserving the historical items of the convent. I hope you find a way to preserve the hidden room. ❤
So nice to see Rick back and feeling well. It’s wonderful that the hospital contacted you and returned the artifacts that used to be at the convent. Hopefully they can find their forever homes in a special place in the convent.
As long as they don’t put flowers or other out of place things in the fire place . That’s so ridiculous to see😂 But I trust Billy have much better taste that that . There even are electric inserts that look real these days. It would be better if it was in the middle of the room as they could have used the fireplace spirit s and mantle that came with the library. But I’m sure they’ll find a way. Billy always does😊🎉
I hope you plan on keeping Yannis there forever. He has become such a wonderful part of the Pethrick family. You’re team is amazing!!! Simon is one of a kind, and truly meant to teach. ❤❤❤
Oh my goodness, how amazing and wonderful for those items to be offered back to the convent. And into your hands for safekeeping. My heart is full of thanksgiving for them to be where they were originally meant to be. Many thanks to you, your family and friends and to the hospital staff for acknowledging where they really needed to be. 🙏💜
I know some people don't enjoy the slow motion shots, but I LOVE seeing everything tossed out the window into the truck! You can see that they NEVER come close to hitting the windows 😅
Billy and Gwen - I think you’re turning a derelict old convent into a Palace. This place is going to be such an asset to the entire Community! They are probably already grateful for how it’s improved and cared for.👏 So nice the religious ✝️ artifacts were offsite while the building was unoccupied. Take your time, Billy, and eventually you’ll know where you want them placed. No rush. Inside and out, excellent work from everyone. Do hope 2nd floor fireplace 🔥 is kept (if safe). Be great with a couple chairs in front for a cozy reading/relaxing spot. Full and satisfying day once again. Will love seeing Kitchen cabinet work tomorrow 👍
Thought the same about Dad Petherick. That man is quite a hard working man! How proud is he of his sons! Working side by side with them! What a joy and fun and respect at that!
P.S. The heroic music is in my head every time I let the dog out. It's a process, sniff, wander around, find a spot, re-consider, wander off, find a spot, and results!!! All with heroic music!
yeah, it's so funny to see Simon, so precise, cutting wallboard out, and Yannis just goes ham on it and rips out with his hands! 💕they make a good team!
I love this channel. What a wonderful group of hard workers making a beautiful abandoned convent come back to life. The return of the artifacts was wonderful to see. Also, how lovely to see Rick back. Everyone is outstanding and special kudos to Billy for leading the way.
I cried with emotion seeing these relics come home. I’ve watched this loving renovation from the first filmed walk through. What an amazing respectful job every helping hand has contributed. Love from a Moon living in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Might I suggest in the future, when assembling modular furniture/cabinets, using a drop of wood glue on the dowels. It will add an amazing amount of additional straight/rigidity to the final assembly. Been doing installs for years and it really helps add longevity. Cheers.
The 2nd Ecumenical Council of Pope John XXIII (1962-65) when the Catholic Church "threw open the doors to let the fresh air in" was responsible for much of the destruction of the beautiful interiors of old Catholic churches (especially in the US) when old original handmade architectural altars and fittings (such as these statues) were literally ripped out of buildings and thrown in the trash, replaced by the "modern" junk like this one 5:15 here. I know this as fact, when I was in grade school (I'm 69 y/o now) and our parish priest decided to modernize our parish church built in 1903. I helped to carry out the old main altar and the two side altars out of the church building, carry them across the street and behind the school building to a giant burn pile where the altars and other furniture from the Sacristy was burned. I was able to savage one pedestal and have it yet in my attic. It was a very destructive time to witness. It might have been the situation for the original altar in the convent's own church that it was ripped out and replaced by this piece of junk altar, it might be the one which was at the place with the pipe organ now was installed. Very sad IMHO.
Happy to see Rick's smiling face back on the project! He has been missed. While Simon and Yannis are wonderful additions, they are not replacements. Yannis is so relentless! Make the young guy do all of the hard, heavy work and the more mature fellows clean up and help with the reconstruction. Between cathedrals, hospitals, and the residents of Ernie the history of the convent is coming back to life through your thoughtful care and creative ingenuity. Everyday is exciting waiting for The Pethericks new videos. I am 6-7 hours behind you on the southern coast of the US, but each new video brings more insight into the reconstruction and renewed nature of this amazing place. I hope that I can come and visit one day when it's all done.
It's wonderful to know that they are going home where they belong. Yes it brings tears to my eyes. I know Billy will take very good care of those beautiful religious relics. ❤❤❤❤
Wow, so nice to see Rick back with the team (Billy, Mick, Alex, Simon, Yannis). Such an amazing job Simon did on concealing the space in the kitchen and the brilliant plaster work. Seeing the old artifacts and relics return to convent is exciting and heartwarming. ♥️♥️♥️
The music, the camera work, and also the manual labor is absolutely wonderful ! Thank you all for your hard earned efforts. God bless you and stay safe. ❤

Oh my goodness I’m full of gratitude and tears at seeing these precious Relics coming HOME again. Billy you are so blessed that God has entrusted you with these beautiful artifacts.
I would just like to mention how beautiful this episode was and I'm surely not the only fan of The Petherick troupers who asks himself wherein lies the magic ; who does the music choices, the editing, i.e. churning out and wrapping up with grace and beauty the whole production at a staggering pace. Artful little gems for all to share. Thank you so much, and maybe some info on the makings of this Book of Hours of our century, could be written by Michael , a mere inevitable thought❤
Yes Rick, you DO have a fantastic smile. I like the way Simon so kindly explains about things in such a way that he takes into account that there may be people who don't know about the details of things, which Billy has stated that most people know or have done. For example, assembling the the kitchen cabinets, which I have never done.

It really is wonderful to have Rick back at the convent and most of all to know he is healthy again. Last time he came back, to me he still looked a bit fragile . But he is looking good now. His Color is good and his stamina seems back. Great to see you and welcome back!
What a treasure! Don't know if anyone mentioned it and I don't know what the books are but, some of the old hymnals and books are impossible to find - at least here in the US. These are irreplaceable so please wrap them and put in a warm, dry place or the mold will take over. Wonderful to see some of the older fashion statues. St. Joseph was always my favorite and you have a very old version. Thanks for sharing and being open to these things.
Hi Billy, I thought that the artefacts that you collected from the hospital are incredible. They have been well looked after and it is wonderful to have them back at the convent. They will look fabulous in the chapel when the ceiling has been restored by Michael. So much going on at the moment it is wonderful to see everything progressing so well. Loved the music in this one, great choice. Lots of love to all XXXXXX
It is wonderful having Rick where he belongs as part of the team working alongside Mic and Yannis and feeling well again. Seeing the cabinets come together under Simon's and Billy's hands brings such excitement to the anticipation of their reveal!! I'm happy for Billy and Gwendolyn to see such progress. Tell Alex we want to see him with his dog!
What can l say. I got emotional upon seeing those statues returning home forevermore. Doesn’t matter where Billy decides to place these objects, because Billy always knocks the ball out of the park‼️ He knows where they will belong. And seeing Rick again was so special and made me smile. He is and always has been part of this amazing project‼️
Wow so much accomplished!! Yes I’m sure the nuns are again dancing in the clouds to see the religious things back at the convent!! Maybe no more slamming doors 😮🎉🎉🎉
pssst, didn't you notice the myriad little orbs of light rising when the walls were coming down. go back and see, around the 16 minute mark if memory suffices. Evidence from people who have studied such encounters swear that each one contains the image of a man. 🥰
Billy: You may want to store the statues, books, and (icon?) painting in a climate controlled area maybe like the office? Generally the the materials these items are made of don't respond to temperature changes very well.
When these items were created they didn't have climate control. They are normally made from materials that are impervious to climate variations. Heat has been around for a good while but the a/c is relatively new and not yet wide spread in Europe as well as the rest of the world.
So nice to see Rick back. Glad he’s easing back into the work with 3 days a week. Smart man 👍🏻 Well done Mick, your fast reflexes saved that light! Great progress. Seeing the cabinets in place in the kitchen made me want to do a happy dance 😂
It made my heart fill with joy to see the relics returned to the convent. And a big smile when I saw Rick. I even waved at my phone when he waved. Welcome Back Rick!
Oh my, seeing the statues made me so happy they were being returned. I just know you and your family will truly honor these pieces just like the organ. Makes my heart filled with joy to know these things were not only thought of being returned but the hospital trust the manner in which you will treasure them. So amazing.
It’s so good to see Rick again! Brought tears to my eyes ❤️🙏 what a lovely grouping of things that were returned back to you how nice! This truly is the best channel and group of people💕 Plus, all the other channels that you introduced to us! Everyone of them are great.
Is it just me, or do others feel teary eyed seeing the relics return home!!❤
don't do Rick dirty like that mate haha
Yes, it gave me goosebumps, and a warmth seeing them
I did too, felt very emotional. Back where they belong. Almost a shame they installed the organ where the alter once was now they have the alter back.
I cried. Happy tears.
I can’t wait to see where they decide to put it all. Obviously with as much respect as they show to the rest of the building.
Yes indeed Billy..we all love Rick's SMILE. Glad to see him working with you all. ❤
So glad to see Rick back! ❤️ Mate, you look healthy and reenergised! Welcome back!👍💪
So great to see Rick back! We all missed that wonderful smile. He's looking healthy and ready to go. Such a lovely man.
It’s so nice having Rick back, his smile is contagious. 😁
The statues are amazing and look well looked after. They could’ve sold them to any random person so having them back in the convent is fantastic.
It’s amazing that the statues have returned, they say the lord works in mysterious ways…..a pump organ gets donated, Nick and Michael learn how to reassemble it, the statues return , who knows what will arrive next?
Lovely to see everyone busy with all the work going on👍🏼🙋🏼♀️
Hopefully the items that were delegated to never leave the convent but have vanished?
Isn’t the hospital attached to the convent…part of it? It seems weren’t far, just next door in another building.
I feel like their returning those items is indicative of the value they place on what you’re doing. How deeply touching. This project is so inspiring to countless people.

There’s no doubt about it, but Yannis knows how to tear down the house!! He is such a brilliant worker, God bless him.😊❤
I believe Yanis is the new Demolition Master.😊
Yannis is doing a wonderful job and looks to be gaining so much confidence.
The beautiful statues should go in the library with plaques describing their history.
Why not back into the chapel,,especially the statues?
@@cathyblackhall5237 then billy would have the chapel look and act as a consecrated chapel....I like the library

Makes me think of what my late dad would say - "you'll have someones eye out with that" 😂🤣
Mick has quick reflexes, he’s a joy to watch.
Ditto to all the comments about Rick's return. This journey just keeps getting better and better. Thanks everybody. ❤😊x
So wonderful to see Rick back with the Convent Crew! He, like his famous smile, is a true gem!

What lovely statues and history of the convent coming home 🥰🥰🥰🥰
