- We are 2 months into the $200 a month grocery budget challenge and I wanted to get an overview of how my pantry and freezer are looking right now. I also made a 3 week meal plan for March based on what I found!

I love the fact that in your videos you show that you're using coupons, cash back apps, buying sale and or clearance items, as well as canning your own food. That you can indeed eat healthy and good food on a tight budget, as well as planning ahead with your freezer meals.
I've gotten our entire month of meals planned out, right down to the days they will be eaten, mostly of what we already have in the house and then some special request from my 5yo son, who I try to include in the whole process to teach him early on. Back before this was trendy in the 90s, as a kid my mom taught me how to plan around what's already in the house, what is on sale that week, what we have coupons for and what we'd like to eat. It's definitely one of those life skills that I value greatly today. Thanks for always sharing what you're doing with your family and helping showing others how they can do it too!
Always fun to get a feel for how other people feed their families! Looking forward to seeing that grocery haul. :)
I usually cook in large amounts too. Cook once and eat at least twice and then freeze what is left. Being old with health issues, I try to keep a freezer stocked with already made favorites for my husband. If I have a hospital stay or die hubby can eat well without any worries (he doesn't know how to cook much) until my daughter arrives. Not morbid - just practical. Love your videos and have been subscribed for a while.
I am trying to make dents in my stocks too so I delay going grocery shopping now, go once in 10 rather than 7 days. Am making a conscious effort to meal plan around what I have and it works.
Holy cow the mechanical room freezer!!!!! You have made so much progress!!!! Congratulations Christine🎉🎉🎉👏👏 👏
Looking good in there! Definitely motivating me to do a stocklist of what I have in my pantry and freezer tomorrow to my chore list so I can properly work out what we have going on and perhaps plan further ahead into march since I've currently only got two weeks ahead planned. Eager to see the haul too!
Glad to see this video, I was curious to see how your pantry was looking. Great video, thank you for sharing.
The pantries and freezer are making lots of headway!! Yahooooo!! I need to get my food plan done today for March, I'm super behind on several things. I feel like Jan. was 2 years long and February was mayhem in fast forward 😬 I need to get it together !😄😆 (having bilateral hand surgery on the 14th and need it organized)
When you’re trying to use up your stores of food at home, do you find it hard to pass up special deals when you go in to the grocery store? I sometimes have to talk myself out of buying more. 🤫
Ummm...yes.
Always my problem! “Oh waffles are on a good sale this week and I haven’t seen them on sale for months!” Then I buy 3... when I already have 2 packs in the freezer 😂
@@brroookkeee I think that's why it's so important to keep an inventory sheet.
I have skipped a good deal and have ALWAYS regretted it - granted that it has to be something we eat all the time .. ie : brand pasta sauce we like ect. So now I look at the expiration date and buy accordingly
I see a huge difference in the stockpile. Thanks for the update.
Uh oh I’m part of the 60% 🙆🏽♀️ I thought I was subscribed actually because your videos always show up!
You are such an inspiration thanks for your insight
Been subscribed for a long time, like years lol.
Love the food videos. Reminds me to be sale conscious
Girl,, you gotta get to some serious pasta eating!! Lol Great video as usual!!
It was nice meeting you at Albertsons yesterday.
Yes! I didn't have time to check out that warehouse yet, hopefully next time I'm down there!
I also cook in big quantities and then we always have leftovers
Hi Christine! Totally not pantry related, but do you use a gps watch on your runs? Any recommendations? Thanks a million!😁 I’m so jealous of your stockpile. 👍
I currently use a Garmin forerunner 405cx - it's super old. I'm saving up for a new one though. Hopefully I'll reveal in the next month or two. :)
Stockpile goals!
I just realized I wasnt subscribed while watching this series.. Opps.. Fixed that today! 😁
You go girl
Oh, I bought my first pair of Brooks today! 👟
Which ones??
Frugal Fit Mom the Launch 5’s! The Ghost are a little out of budget for me right now. I also got the Garmin Forerunner 35 for $128 on Amazon. So budget friendly!😁
My husband bought a new pair of the launch's also! What a great price! Yeah, the ghost are not on sale at the moment, but I always grab a pair or 2 when they are.
Do you have a tried and true way to use catfish? I was given many pounds. I've never had it so I don't know what a good recipe would be. I see it is usually blackened or fried.
yes - blackened and fried. ;)
Wow, I can’t believe you have so much food! You could easily feed your family on your “stockpile” for months, right?
Yes! That's why I started this challenge, to see if I could rotate through a lot of what I already have. :)
Are you going to restock your stockpile?
Just wondering..
Probably not the way it was, but I do like taking advantage of a deal. :)
I love how optimistic you are about your freezer only to know now that you will soon have 400lbs of beef given to you 😂😂
Odd question... what make is the fridge/ freezer in your garage?
It's a kitchenaid. :)
How great! 😊👍🏻 Thanks for sharing 😊 Johanne, Norway
I would not like to see my food areas so low like that. That means you have to spend more to get it back to where it was
