You need to call the store in Salt Lake and let them know. Also TELL them you want to pick up your refund or the same items at your local Smith’s. When you call, ask for a manager. I promise, you’ll be compensated. God bless 🙏🏼❤️

I would call the store and explain what happened and that you're 4hours away. They might be able to refund still or mail you a gift card or refund check! Great haul but I would be bummed about the missing items ☹️

This! Always call. Explain the situation. More than likely they KNOW someone left things and didn't catch it until you had already left. Always call!

This is the year of the purge. Using up whats in my freezer first. Then just buying the basics. I have a $200 budget for the month as well.

Call the store ! I’m sure the stuff was left at the checkstand. So they can give you a credit at your local store

That panettone will also make fantastic French toast or bread pudding. And remember that turkey sausage and lentils for a yummy, hearty soup. Saute sliced sausage in a little oil till browned and remove. Add diced carrots, onion, celery and saute till soft but not brown. Add a quart or two of stock (depending on how much you're making), a couple diced potatoes, and the lentils. Still have to season at this point (and s&p, of course) but there are so many ways to season this, different herb & spice combinations that it's basically up to you. Anyway, bring to boil and then simmer for about 20 minutes. The lentils and potatoes take the same amount of time to cook. Add the sliced saisage back in about five minutes before it's done. It's like 30 minutes to have soup from scratch!

Maybe not this time if it's not in the budget, but I like stretching those salad kits by adding lettuce. Usually romaine. It's also fairly easy to stretch the pouch dressing too. :-)

You look super cute in this video! You are a super rockstar. This has been a bigger spend month for our family. I think I have spent $280 already this month. But for us but we have been doing a lot of low spend months from September through December before we went on a 10 day trip to Florida, so that can be how it goes. You are an inspiration!

Bummer about the missing items! It has happened to me too but I was just 10 mins away so I could go back. They felt so bad they gave me a Refund AND insisted I also accept the items FOC. The cashier had mistakenly left them out.

Glad you made it home but sorry your items didn't. Funny you should mention the Wholly Guacamole. We went to the store around Christmas time and when we got back I pulled a package of Wholly Guacamole out and said to my husband, Did you buy this at the store?. He said Nope. Maybe we got yours lol. (We live in Tennessee)

I'm not on budget. We ran out of a lot of random things. So I'll be doing a low spend February and March. I hope you brought back some sausage. Go Saints!!! I'm hoping we go all the way this year.

Mmm the sweet kale chopped kits are my favorite followed closely by the Asian kit. Now I want salad....

  • @Narbyful
    @Narbyful 4 роки тому

I realize I'm new to the party here: :) But the salad kits? I have a recipe called "Beans & Greens" that calls for 3 cups of greens that end up going into a bean soup. Can be anything like cabbage, spinach, kale, etc. I look for a marked down salad mix, exactly like you got. I find they are just like you were showing: still in nice shape, and a nice mix of different greens. AND I didn't have to chop it/wash it, etc. I felt your pain with leaving stuff behind/they didn't get into your bags. We shopped when we traveled with our motor home over summers (usually at Walmarts) and you only have that happen to you once.... After that, you watch like a chicken hawk. What a drag!

So sorry about the missing items....Waaaaahhhh! Do what Amber and theart2 down below said to do. Our little grocery store just switched hands not long ago, and I have found that just about every time I go, something is not ringing up correctly at the check out. You really have to watch. Things will also be plainly listed for sale in the ads, but there will be no sale price anywhere near the items on the shelf. I bought some meat that was reduced for a quick sale last week. They didn't cover the original bar code over completely with the new price, so the original price scanned in. I just happened to see it. Yesterday, they had buy 8 items, save $8 with no limit. I bought 16 and had them all together in my buggy, organized. Well, I only got $8 took off, so the manager gave me $8 in cash saying she knew that that was going to happen. I have learned not to go to the store and buy good deals on the first day of a sale. They need time to figure it out.

The broccoli salad I would sautee some and add to a quiche or we do a breakfast casserole for dinner. Add bacon and cheese. It's delicious. Just a suggestion.

Boo on the missing items. I keep a very close eye on bags and the area before I leave anymore. Never lost that much but have gotten home without an onion or something else before. I have called and have been told to stop by customer service so they can reimburse me or let me have a replacement for free (after they checked that they did indeed forget to give me something). Also on a very early morning run to Frys/Kroger I noticed that none of the mega prices were ringing up. Scanned info again and then it was taken off - However - none of my $15 worth of coupons came off and I didn't notice till I got home. Customer service reimbursed me. If you look at the web site once signed in your purchases for many months are listed by detailed receipt which helped me a lot in getting my money back (applied as cash back on next trip). This week with sales and coupons we purchased (at two stores) 17 boxes of cereal for approximately $1 (the only cereal my husband eats every day). Hoping they restock when I go back before sale ends. Have a wonderful week.

Oh man, I'd be kicking myself if that happened to me too. Ugh its just annoying. For my this week, accidentally spent double on the grocery budget than i thought I was going to, but it was still in the weeks allowance of 53usd. This week I'm aiming for hopefully 25usd spent which will still leave me with $36 for the last week of January.
Overall, I'll reach a total of $143 spent for the month if I manage it which will be a saving of $215. It won't be like that for February, but I'm excited to try and stay under $215 a month.

I miss Aldi!! I have tried to cut our grocies and have even been cooking all the time this month and if I didn't have such a stock up of household supplies I would not have been able to cut the bill. I can't find a discount bread store here or grocery?? I look at Smiths for the clearance items and I must miss when they do it cause there aren't hardly any ever.. I only cut my bill by like 200.00 this month. Normally I spend 800😭

I am new to Ibotta. Someone help me. My first receipts are causing me issues. I had 2 different store receipts and neither one would scan so I had to take photos. But stuff from one store is showing up under the other store. And I've had items purchased that qualified for Ibotta that the UPC code is saying not matching. On my receipt but yet not showing up.
