    What happened to cjaa content? You were my only guy on YT for that! At least, out put all the things I wanted to put on a tdi on one so an inspiration at that

      Low mileage engine, EGR wasn’t that dirty, yes you’re right, didn’t drop anything into my manifold

    I'm just doing the same job on a 2014 Touareg, once the manifold and egr were out of the way the short hose between the cooler and egr was puffed up and leaking, someone had put some leak seal through it, there are going to be some bargains for ppl who like getting their hands dirty.

      They're not without significant issues though. I'm at 120k miles and will be removing my intake for carbon cleaning for a 2nd time. I have an injector seal leaking, and I'll be doing an EGR delete and valley reseal while I'm in there.
      Then I'll have to do the timing chain tensioner, as that's now quite clattery on startup even with 5w-40. Luckily that can be accessed without engine removal by *only* dropping the xfer case and trans.
      It's borderline manageable if you can do everything yourself, but if I took it to a shop they would say the timing drive is an engine out operation and ~$12-14k. Which makes these vehicles disposable for the majority of people at that point.

    I’m in Minnesota, you’re in Canada. I wonder how important that oil cooler *actually* is for us in colder climates. Which leads me to wonder if someone makes a block off plate 🤔 one less thing to leak again

    You werent kidding about everything going wrong all at once. my CNRB touareg at 111k has needed EGR cooler, Water pump, and now i need to do a oil cooler and valley reseal. All within the last 2k miles.

      In the middle of getting the manifold off and I noticed I've got a bad injector seal. Yippee!

    Great video! The link for the bypass on the ECS website says it doesn’t not fit my 2013 Q7.

    • @ThatGuyTyy
      @ThatGuyTyy  9 днів тому

      That is the exact one on my Q7, ECS just does a great job of not properly cataloging stuff - can confirm with the OEM part #

    Did you have a bunch of sludge in the intake to clean out as well?

    • @ThatGuyTyy
      @ThatGuyTyy  2 місяці тому

      Just after where the EGR pipe entered the intake yes, nothing too crazy, but a big reason why I deleted my EGR later on as well

      It’s a tricky one for sure, but time and patience is key on this one, especially with the manifold

      @@ThatGuyTyy for sure.. so a previous video you did the egr delete, but this video you removed then reinstalled the egr? Out of sequence or two different cars?

    • @ThatGuyTyy
      @ThatGuyTyy  2 місяці тому +1

      @404marc out of sequence, I ended up deleting my egr basically a week after doing this video and was just eager to post the delete install haha

      @@ThatGuyTyy I have a 14 A6 tdi. My guess is coolant and oil consumption would lead you to believe the gaskets (valley leak) are bad?

    • @ThatGuyTyy
      @ThatGuyTyy  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes, if it fills up enough it will run down the back and the front of the motor as it will spill out of the valley, but it can hold about 4L of coolant in there. And i would say if it’s not mixing in your coolant or vice versa is probably be the valley leak - you can typically see right down to the back of engine oil cooler between the driver side of the HPFP and the intake manifold with the egr cooler still install

    Are you going weight reduction in the vehicle? What is the driver loses weight too haha! How much do you weigh?

    • @ThatGuyTyy

      I will be doing the full SCR system save some more weight tho, so yes! I honestly should weigh my dpf and such as well to see how much weight I lost on the car doing the deletes
