AGROSAVIA Social Balance 2023: Jorge Sarmiento, silvopastoral systems in the southern Atlántico

The Social Balance of AGROSAVIA 2023 highlights the history of agricultural producers who implement sustainable practices in perfect integration with some of the technologies offered by the Corporation. Jorge Luis Sarmiento Ávila overcame great challenges, from a shortage of grass to feed his animals to losses due to flooding. With perseverance and training, he transformed his livestock into a silvopastoral system, which allowed him to support his family and contribute to the conservation of the environment. His commitment to sustainability and love for the countryside is his legacy to future generations.
