AGROSAVIA Social Balance 2023: John Jairo Vargas, Romosinuano Creole breed

The Social Balance of AGROSAVIA 2023 highlights the history of agricultural producers who implement sustainable practices in perfect integration with some of the technologies offered by the Corporation. John Jairo Vargas Escobar, on his El Panche livestock farm, has embarked on the mission of restoring and protecting the tropical dry forest with regenerative practices that promote biodiversity and soil health. In this process, he chose the Romosinuano Creole breed for his production system, due to its rusticity, adaptation to the ecosystem and reproductive parameters. Among its practices, the elimination of the use of herbicides stands out, which makes it possible to have food for animals and improve the soil and the conservation of water and fauna, elements that allow it to be classified as environmentally friendly.
