This song speaks to me deep in my soul. Les Fictions voice haunts me. You're on my Pandora playlist nightly. Thank you. Then "I Remember" danced on my eardrums when a perfect match vocal of Ms Emily Valentine began to sing... when you reach the pinnacle high-note there was a tear in my eye. This is my absolute favorite song that speaks to me on a level I was unaware lurked in my spirit. Thank you, Les Fiction and thank you Emily Valentine for teaching me to never give up hope.
As much as I adore this track and Emily's voice, I do think that I'd love it even more if Paint sang more. Like, along side her at some point near the end. That would have been incredible.
Some minds can live on their own No need to assist Some lives will circle around till love pulls it down I've set a course for losing you I've no remorse for what I do We say nothing holding it in How did we travel this far Knowing that our light will fade Remember nothing Let it all go We'll live our destiny alone The truth is in a whisper Life is in a kiss Hands can't be held when they're clenched into a fist Your eyes are a crime frozen in time This prison is yours Feel me Heal me Feel me Heal me I don't want to remember I'm moving to newer frontiers I will build my own empire And banish myself from there I don't want to remember the life I chose I won't buy (?) your destiny cause you and I will always be alone Feel me Heal me Feel me Heal me Feel me Heal me Feel me Heal me I remember the prison I built myself You and I can tear it all down and let the past begin to melt I remember eternity Love atoned (?) I will fight for destiny Cause you and I will never be alone

I use epic music to help me write. A lot of times an epic song used as a character anthem can really help solidify the character. I listened to this song, love comes home, and you always knew, and it described one of our characters so perfectly that I couldn't help but cry. Its crazy how well so many of these dark matter songs fit my story. :')
Panda Bear Same thing for me, I write and a lot of Les Friction's songs fit a storyline or character. It helps me come up with ideas and/or, as you said, solidify the character.
Jda Ivan I'm glad I'm not the only one! I think for people who have attachments to music it really helps drive imagination. Especially if a song is a scene song or a character anthem. Ill save it and later when I go to write from that characters pov I listen to it first, and suddenly my understanding becomes so much better.
Panda Bear If you haven't, you should check out their first album. Many of the songs in the first album are from (or seem like) a different POV and can fit more characters. The first album is called: World On Fire.
I'm in the same boat!!! Songs like these are like my inspiration fill up for my characters before a start writing. It also helps me focus and get new ideas
The singers name is Lara Fabian and she has several album out already. Don’t know why people are saying it’s Emily Valentine. It’s even written in song title.
In this second album, Les Friction really went a different direction with their style. The first album seemed to be mostly about some kind of impending war, with a few songs that were more lighthearted and peppy sprinkled in there. All the songs were kickass and energetic, and I genuinely enjoyed all of them. With this second album, it has a very alien feel to it. The only two songs that retained the style of the originals were "Your World Will Fail" and "Kashmir." "This is a Call" had some energy to it, but is nowhere close to the original album. Don't get me wrong, I still absolutely LOVE this album, and the songs are as powerful as always, but they're not quite as epic in my opinion. The first album had so many songs (Louder than Words, Who Will Save You Now, Here Comes the Reign, World on Fire, etc.) that I could've easily seen in trailers for movies, games, etc. This one has songs that I still love, but wouldn't really expect to be used for anything. It's all around harder to formulate a plot with most of these songs, and the lyrics don't hold much meaning without a plot. Anyway, that's enough criticism from me, because I absolutely love this band and their music. They did a fantastic job making this album, even if the theme to it isn't my personal favorite.
this track sound so familiar to some other piece, but I can't put my finger on what song it is I think its something by audiomachine or one of the other epic music makers. its damn near killing me lol
They might be taking inspiration from other artists, but that's not all. I noticed, or at least I think I noticed, that there are scraps of older songs buried within the instrumentals of the newer ones. Not sure if there's a meaning there or they're simply reusing audio assets for the sake of easing their workload, or perhaps some combination thereof.
yeah, I figured it'd be something like that. I still love this track, I just wish I could get the name of the song which has a similar melody to this in some of this song's parts. like during the chorus, I thought there was something like an instrumental version of this

good god her voice is incredible
FAVORITE SONG♥ every song of Les Friction are unique.
Acctually, this is my FAV song of Dark Matter
listen to the song with lara fabian it"s good too
Same here
The melody the guy sings meshes together quite nicely with the part the gal sings, like a little polyphony 👍🏻
Some minds can live on their own
No need to assist
Some lives will circle around
till love pulls it down
I've set a course for losing you
I've no remorse for what I do
We say nothing holding it in
How did we travel this far
Knowing that our light will fade
Remember nothing
Let it all go
We'll live our destiny alone
The truth is in a whisper
Life is in a kiss
Hands can't be held
when they're clenched into a fist
Your eyes are a crime
frozen in time
This prison is yours
Feel me
Heal me
Feel me
Heal me
I don't want to remember
I'm moving to newer frontiers
I will build my own empire
And banish myself from there
I don't want to remember the life I chose
I won't buy (?) your destiny
cause you and I will always be
alone
Feel me
Heal me
Feel me
Heal me
Feel me
Heal me
Feel me
Heal me
I remember the prison
I built myself
You and I can tear it all down
and let the past begin to melt
I remember eternity
Love atoned (?)
I will fight for destiny
Cause you and I will never be
alone
Thanks for the lyrics
I think she sings "And banish myself from -you- there" and "I wont -bind- your destiny"
I Remember
Some lives can live on their own
With no need to assist
Some lives will circle around
Until love pulls it down
I've set a course for losing you
I've no remorse for what I do
We say nothing
Holding it in
How did we travel this far
Knowing that our light will fade
Remember nothing
Let it all go
We'll live our destiny alone
The truth is in a whisper
Your life is in a kiss
Hands can't be held when they're clenched into a fist
Your eyes are a crime frozen in time
This prison is yours
Feel me
Heel me
I don't want to remember
I'm moving to newer frontiers
I will build my own empire
And banish myself from you there
I don't want to remember
The love light has shown
I won't fight our destiny
Cause you and I will always be alone
Feel me
Heal me
I remember the prison I built myself
You and I can tear it all down and let the past begin to melt
I remember eternity and love that light has shown
I will fight for destiny
Cause you and I will never be alone
Found this on their offical facebook page i suppose that will cover what ya didnt fully get???
It should be "I don't want to remember the love I've shown"
Loves Light Shone
It's deep,dark,beautiful and haunting.
This is the best one so far in Dark Matter
Pain, sadness and a lonely heart........ beautiful song

Love the song (and everything from les Friction!!!) but this girl is incredible -- does she have any other songs?
Yes she does... She's working on new material right now 😀 Emily Valentine

@@briancanning8194 Fabian is on "You Always Knew." Valentine is on this track, "I Remember. "

Brazil loves you!!!!!!
Brasil, un pueblo con uno de los mejores gustos musicales del mundo. En Brasil subis a un taxi y el taxista escucha buena musica. Bello pais.
Unbelievable
Thanks TheRokkaz.
