Whenver any city goes through urban redevelopment, people always say 'It'll never work', 'It'll never happen'. Yet, it does. Maybe not 100%, but a good 80%. I'm amazed at people who just seem to revel in putting something down. If you don't like it, go to the public meetings and make sure folks who think like you attend. Create Facebook sites that logically show your opposition to LRT vs SkyTrain (just saying 'long term benefits of SkyTrain are better' is worthless) and other things. Pissing on ideas without offering any of your own is just impotent complaining. If you want more, DO more.
Looks lovely... no rain, tents, druggies, jaywalkers, stalled or illegally stopped or parked vehicles, emergency vehicles, traffic collisions or even backlogs of traffic waiting for the LRT crossing intersections. Now snap out of it and get back to reality Linda Hepner!
@XBOXRULES well the area is worse there are still tentsx shootings, and druggies all around the station to this day they made Surrey look way too nice in this video
Looks very pretty with the new buildings. But what about the cost of living in Surrey? Vancouver has become a very expensive city to live in. The same could happen someday in Surrey (if not now). Good if you are rich. But middle class or poor, forget it!
This will never happen. Video was posted almost a year ago, and nothing has changed. Phase 1, maybe, yes, however, phase 2, 3 or 4 will never be built. Surrey is pipe dreams, a few new buildings, however, nothing ever turns out as planned. Ground-level LRT is a mistake. We need elevated Skytrain or better yet, cut and over, or bored tunnel, to increase longevity against our wet weather and snow, and decrease chance of system outage.
A lot of the proposed buildings have been approved for development. Construction of The Hub will begin soon and will make King George Skytrain station really nice. With Cineplex, Whole Foods, Cactus Club, etc. Check out this link: tinyurl.com/y9g4xwms *updated as of Jan.2017*
Eh, well there is so many bum, I will get sick if I go there, there are a ton of bum smoking cigarretes. It's even scary at night. I see a group of people hanging around by that bus stop where the taxi's are. They are very scary.
Buy in Surrey before it is not too late: it is growing. I like the video.

I like how they literally put 2 cars on 104 avenue to trick people into the thinking it won't be congested
Like they didn't even try to make it believable with maybe 8 or 9 cars just TWO
It’s just for city centre and guilford but what about Fleetwood and newton
LRT was for Fleetwood going down Fraser. Now its scrapped and Fleetwood gets a loud skytrain!

looks fantastic,..how can i get in touch with the
LRT is going to create even more congestion for surrey. It doesn't look like they have security gates and fencing for the LRT?

You don’t need that dummy. Look in Europe and Melbourne, Australia, where the tram goes through the open mall.
