    great review, I appreciate that you use metric too, thanks man. I think I'll go for the 23L, I have a short trip planned next week and my backpack (North Face Recon) is definitely bigger than the personal item size for RyanAir. I have used it as such but I also had bought the 2nd cabin bag option so maybe they didn't care that much those times. Plus it will "force" me to pack lightly, it should be enough for a 7 day trip, right?

    • @PackingLess
      @PackingLess  Рік тому +4

      Thanks glad to help. In terms of packing enough, I have previously travelled months on a 20L backpack so I think the 23L would be more than enough but it does require taking versatile clothes, layering warmer clothes and being prepared to wash clothes while travelling, whether in a dry bag or in the sink.

    I've buy the 23 L version, the blue one. I like how they design the compartement, especially with the side pocket that fits water bottle and keep it safely. but I still thinking how strong this bag is, because there's no specification for the maximum load (kgs). and the strap doesn't comes in bartack sewing, so I assumed it will be broken easily if we carry overweight things...

    Affordable price & great warranty that's a plus point. Like what u said, need grab handle. I second that but i would also like to add for attachment straps & load adjuster. Depends on the airline, some allow a fair amount of leeway in their published sizes, but even the 23L is a hair too big to fit the official sizes, so the 32L would be really pushing it. Probably fine on a full featured airline, but the budget ones that actually make you measure will stop you every single time with the 32, and the 23 will probably depend how you pack it.

      @@Green__one "under the seat" carry on baggage for most low-cost European airlines need to be 40x25x20 max (unless you pay for the 2° cabin luggage). The only one fitting perfectly these measures is the 16 L version. The 23L is a bit off in height (46 x 28 x 22 cm), the 32l is definitely so 50 x 28 x 25 cm. I need space for a 15inch laptop, its charging cable, one wireless mouse, a couple of charging cables for other stuff, one diary, a whole set of changing clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, shoes,) a small towel, some toiletry and in a bottom bit I would take my lunch box, etc. On my test run, I filled out a 25l backpack with ease and I haven't taken a laptop/electronic bits or lunchbox with me. I assume those additional 5l and bottom compartments will compensate for these items. I', concerned with the stability of the backpack. I tried this bag (the 32 L) at the shop, loading it with 6 kg of the "test load" decathlon provides near the backpack shelves. I have been using a fantastic 30 L Decathlon hiking backpack every day for the past 15 years, from hiking to cycling to commuting, and grocery shopping. The waist belt helped A LOT to carry the load. Now it is finally broken, so I'm shopping for something similar. I could not find anything as good and versatile as my former one. This one is really well made, but the the waist belt is more to stabilize the bag from moving around than to help with the load. If this bag is fully loaded, it will all be on your shoulders and back.

      Neither of them are waterproof, but perhaps very slightly water resistant, I wouldnt use them in heavy rain

      Its on a bit of a rail that I think you could probably take it off but it might be very hard to get back on
