- Hey everybody!
Me again... The man of never-ending projects. With ROKBUGY out of our hands and on the road, and the craziness of 2023 in the rear-view, we decided it was time to bring on the new year with a project vehicle that we can keep here at home. You know... one that we can work on and drive as much as we want to...
I made the decision to archive the videos of building the VW because the series technically never ended, and that raised a lot of question marks for a lot of people. That car was built in a partnership and we had way too much going on in our lives at the time, so we walked away from it after it went to SEMA in 2022. I promise I'll try to stop removing content from this channel now. LOL
So... What's the plan with the new Jeep? Well, follow along and you'll see! I'm excited to have something simple to work on. Something that has no marketing obligations or places it has to be. This Jeep is fully ours and we can work on it right here at home. What that means for you, is that content can be much more consistent, which has been a weakness of mine in the past.
Anyways, I don't want to be too long-winded here, but I'm very happy to be writing this and I look forward to talking with you all through the various CRAWL TV channels.

very nice! have fun making it your own. 15 years ago i bought a 1978 cj7 with the 304, 3 speed. tons of fun to drive and still is. Many $$$$ later i got rid of the 3 speed and installed a T18 4 speed with the low 1st gear and put a 3 to 1 tera low in my TC = 80 to 1 crawl ratio. In my opinion this was a game changer for offroading even more than the front and rear lockers i added. Maybe ill see you on the Rubicon next July. Enjoy your new toy.

I don’t expect to do a lot of road driving, so I might just go with the super cheap sealed beam 7” halogens and then add some retro amber square fog lights to it. Retrobrights require restomod money that I don’t have 😂

I’ve wanted another CJ since I had that 64 tuxedo park. I had to let that one go when I moved to Florida, so it’s nice to have another that’s in much better shape. I can’t wait to do some slow, squeaky off-roading in this thing!

Well well well... lol. Knew you couldn't stay away from the jeep world! I'm thinking yellow accents for the jeep to go with the new seats. But not your typical jeep accent colored bolt on pieces
At one point, I was toying with the idea of just painting the whole Jeep yellow and going with chrome accents to match the CRAWL TV logo haha

Congratulations on the CJ! I’m finishing up my ‘79 CJ-7, (V-8 engine swap and many other mods) and also planning a Rubicon trip with it this summer.

* PRP seat bracket fab, seat and harness install
* Locking hubs vs locking differential
* Removing Body Lift with JeepBolts.com
* OK4wd.com High steer kit, pitman arm, intermediate shaft, steering box
* Leaf spring and shackle bushings
* Motor mounts and transmission mounts
* Front and rear diffs from ebobsgarage.com, drain and fill transfer case and transmission, oil change
* Measure new driveline and order
* Inspect brake system and flush fluids
* Tidy up wiring under hood and dash
* Clearance tires
* TDS (desert event in SoCal) or bust March 1st

How can You be a stickler for led lights because they aren't period correct yet neither are PRP seats. I understand not wanting Chinese made stuff but where do you think the OEM halogen headlights are made? You can put KC or rigid headlights on there and it's still wouldn't be period correct. Not to mention if you're shooting for an american-made build then All the skyjacker stuff has to go. With that being said, welcome back!
